Every time I see Kim Jung Gi drawing it just lets me speechless. First I ask myself "How!?" "How is he able to get down an entire drawing in just seconds?" "How does he lay down a complex form just with one, two brush strokes, just like that?" But then, I remember that he's been drawing his entire life, 8 hours a day. Now, in my head it's just "Wow" instead. He has these skills not because he just is so talented, but also (and mostly) cause he's been practicing a colossal amount of time. Observing, learning and recalling. Correcting mistakes, and doing it again, and again and again, repeating this process countless times. Now I no longer compare with him, feeling dissapointed because I'll never draw near as well as him. Now every time I watch him draw I feel inspired, and think that I can do it too, one day, with smart, constant practice and time. It can only get better! Thank you, Kim Jung Gi! Keep drawing!
@@I0amARES It is not the number of hours that brought Mr. Kim Jong Ki to this level, but rather his method of learning It does not matter how much time you spend drawing as long as your learning method is correct. My regards to you
@@artfine9699Yes, you are right, it is the method that is important, but at the same time, applying this method a lot improves it. Thank you and best regards to you.
Best (Character Sketch) Artist ever to exist. Ooh, he does a lot of other objects, animals in the beginning other than his usual characters. But, characters are his bread and butter, and love the women he draws especially as are many folks favorites I presume. Made it about half way through...a couple of my favorites are at the 1:04:30 , 51:40, 1:06:30, 1:13:45 , 1:26:10(so beautiful), 1:32:36. 1:39:50(might be my favorite, with the flame halo *heart eyes*), 1:44:40 marks, 2:01:44 (this student with scarf appears a few times, I've seen. Also, one his most recent, and last character portraits he's done that was on his instagram). Gosh, no 2:07:00 is my favorite (imagine he completed this sketch, and drew the nipples as well. First time I've seen him leave them out on breasts, beautiful angel nonetheless ahhh). Oh, the next one is amazing as well - 2:10:25 (wow some, lucky owners of these sketches!) Really beautiful detail on 2:50:00 too. The last one OMGG hahaha, 3:07:00
Terribly sad loss for the world. Hoped to see him create comics, games, or TV shows. All those characters from his head with their stories. Everyone take of your health and loved ones. We'll miss you dearly Jung-Gi, rest easy.
This is so absolutely lovely and intimate. I will use this video and audio as a kindred background during some art sessions. Kim was a PURE SPIRIT OF ART WHICH I AM SO BLESSED TO OF WITNESSED. LIKE THE LUGHT OF A FALLING STAR THAT SCATTERS IN THE SIZZLE OF ITS VULNERABLE INSTANT we were so lucky to have this light This stardust of genius to gaze at.
Oh my god. If you're serious it's a 'Pentel' Fude Brush Pen, they make smaller ones that take ink cartridges you've probably walked past them without knowing in art shops.
@@struggler3915 Lets be honest here, his art sucks. Hey, anyone can draw that, just draw something bullshit and stick them like an idiot. Just look at it. Kissing his ass not helping either.
@@struggler3915 You cannot deny he drawing the wrong way, if you didnt know what im talking about then you just a random dude kissing his ass on the internet.

Kim Jung Gi used to draw for 12 hours every day, not 8.
