I installed the Green spring & it made a massive improvement. Movement now smooth & it no longer jumps out of the centre allowing for precise inputs. Great product & well worth the investment.
I have recently purchased this one in a bundle with set of covers for my joystick. This spring is exactly what I was looking for! The original spring was too stiff for my taste. With a green one joystick finally behaves like it should and I can fly with precision and smoothness I was expecting from warthog when I was buying it. I really can recommend this one to anyone who feels that original spring is too stiff and the tension it gives is too high.

You can keep the plastic cowling on with the original spring and the green spring. When a red or blue springs are installed you need to remove it since the springs are bigger. To be honest I removed it even with the original spring since it caused some friction.

Daniel, yes, that is correct. Since the red and blue springs are bigger it is not possible to use the plastic cowling. Instead you can grab some dust covers, also available on my website: warthog-extensions-by-sahaj.com
I was interested in your green spring, it would be handy if you had some figures as to how much of a difference in makes. And you would accept credit card in addition to pay pal, which I don't utilize. Thus no sale. That said, I was left with too much tension and being creative I simply cut the springs first full loop right next to where the actual end lays upon the next coil. Though I did do it in two steps, removing half a loop the first time after trying it out for an hour, decided to cut the other half. Working great, tension is dramatic reduced, and the grips still returns to the zero position unaided.
Hi, try a 10 cm extension to be on the safe side, it ought to help with your problems. For higher extensions I would also change the strength of the spring, depending on what style you prefer. Unfortunately no, both sticks are absolutely different constructions. Warthog is just another league compared to TM16000 and nothing is interchangeable.
So dust and other crap get in it and destroy parts, then this seller may also sell other parts that broke. Thats the only logical reason to leave off a dust cover

@@realKHz I did that with my TM and added additional small spring with the original little springs from the bottom to make it slightly more tense that with just the original springs and it's working great. At first I thought this kinda spring would work well, but after I got my TM Warthog and did a bit of youtubing, that easily done mod is all I really need :P
Ive just received mine and its not much better, if any. Ive rubbed it with a little bit of the grease the stock spring had and if I move the stick to the front it stays there. Such a disappointment.

Disappointed….. the green spring makes very little difference. Now I know why the outside spring cover is removed in this video, the green spring rubs against it because it is a tiny bit too big. So you need to go with the cover off. Should have just got a small extension instead of wasting money on this spring
That is actually not true, the green spring is in fact smaller than the original spring so it fits in within the black cowling, there is no way it does not fit since the spring itself is smaller. On top of that it is the original spring that tends to rub on the plastic cover in some cases. For the red and blue spring you need to remove it. At the end it is your subjective feeling and your comfort preferences. What I can recommend is to use appropriate lubricate to grease your Warthog, it will help out. Still the green spring has enough stiffness to re-center, this is also an important factor for many. The last resort is to use an extension additionally, I can offer it to you for a good deal since you have already the green spring.

I 100% stand by my 3 points & after buying this product based on all the good reviews I felt that I should voice my opinion. - I agree with you that the spring fits with the cover on, but my opinion is that the spring rubs against it. Are you confirming this by suggesting grease? Look closely at the video and you can see the green spring bulge outwards. It’s not a huge problem that it rubs, the original spring rubs. My point was that in my opinion to avoid rubbing the cover needs to be removed. - Thank you for the comment about control feel, I stand by my opinion that the green spring makes little difference. Granted most of my real life hours aren’t in side stick aircraft (maybe only 4000hrs in Airbus/Cirrus etc) but I feel that I have a descent ability to judge control feel & the way I’ve installed it in my setup these are my results. - I wanted to let people know that an extension is also an option, thanks for confirming.

Does the OEM plastic dust cover not fit over your Green spring?
Same question, is it only for demonstrantom purpose or it’s no possible to mount cover back once green spring is installed?

I am not sure what you mean? I would not use the Warthog without any main spring as it is a vital construction point of the whole stick.
