- Welp- it happened... We're now some of the first tourists who successfully buy a school bus to convert into our dream tiny home. We officially flew from London to the USA to do a school bus conversion! We've only got 30 days to do the conversion, so wish us luck.. (And its our first time in the USA).

Looking good guys, just enjoy the ride and try not to drive yourselves mad with the details. You'll get there, eventually, and it'll all be worth it in the end (having renovated two houses, I suggest you remember the mantra "it'll all be worth it in the end", haha!)

Banks are a nightmare for international transfers.... BITCOIN fixes this! Instant (give or take a few minutes), and they fees are much cheaper than banks would charge. You can top up/ buy using your UK bank or friends, and it appears in your phones/laptop wallet where ever you are in the world.
Look in to it.... could save you a fortune if you're spending big uk-to-usa banks regularly.
BTW loving the videos, been a sub for a while and good luck with this.
Definitely something I’ve been researching a bit (Harri). I used to do a fair amount of Crypto stuff but the seller said he wouldn’t accept it (as he’s a car dealer and needs official payment through banks).

The school bus that you guys are converting is a Collins Nexbus DRW that's built on a Chevy Express 4500 cutaway chassis. I'm thinking that it's a 2012 model year, since the unit number from First Student starts with 12.

Hey guys, just wondering how you registered and insured your bus?
Hi guys, we went to the DMV and they said if we brought it from a dealer (Which we did), he could do all the paperwork and register it for us. SO he transferred the ownership, rather than us having to notify the DMV (which made it easier). For insurance we just went with StateFarm, called them to talk through the details of it being a campervan and me being from the UK, but all worked really well!

We were worried about that, but everyone’s been super friendly so far! We did ask the AirBnb host to check with his neighbours before accepting our booking!😊
