The sound you were questioning near the end with the gunshots, I totally missed, now I’m former military, so I’m not the expert but a relatively decent source. But there is a shot sound followed by a bullet casing hitting the ground sound. Realize you can tweak sound but my thoughts are he used a shotgun sound, and a lower calibre rifle round shell, say .223 and below for the shell drop. Certainly could be a rifle shot sound, just sounds thicker

To me it sounds like a gunshot, the bullet tink when it is ejected, and the sound of a slide when reloading the bullet. Of course could be totally wrong, but that is what it sounds like to me.
