Shawn, I took lessons from you in Richmond Hill many moons ago and you were an incredible teacher. I had my first child and didn’t have time for the game for a few years but your video series have brought back my swing and love for the game! Great job on constantly improving as a teacher and inspiring the community! Best of luck.

I have been following you for several years and have heard this before, however, this particular presentation finally hit home for me and today I played 18 holes and only pulled one shot to the left, which is unusual. After standing behind the ball to pick my target line, my focus at address was on the swing path through the intermediate point, and not to look down the fairway from the side. No lost balls, no penalty strokes...that's significant progress.

    Hey Sean
You basically taught me to play golf👍🏽. I took it up when I retired 5 years ago, and I could barely hit the ball where I wanted to until I watched throwing the club. It was as if the light bulb went off. As a former tennis addict, your lessons always resonated with me, and this one is no exception. Thanks again!

Shawn at 2:25 you solved my issue! It’s ok to feel “open” by approximately 30 degrees. What a huge help. I thought I needed to be square by that point resulting in a ton of pulled shots. Immediately started hitting bombs! Thanks!!!

Any tips for hozzle rockets? When I really try to get the blurr to go right of the intermediate point, I tend to hit hozzle rockets. I have filmed myself and it seems like I am early extending. Could the early extension be stemming from me trying to get the blurr to go right to much. Any tips?

I guess what I am asking is should I feel that I am swinging/releasing to the right of target (towards the trees) or should I be aiming what would feel so far left that that I should be seeing my target 30 yards out to the right? Hopefully that made a little more sense 😅

    • @golflessons

Yes, all irons! 3 iron and even 1 iron; the most forward for a high draw would be centre or where the back of ball touches centre. It is the way the body is made!
