how crazy is growing up and still being able to play with your idol AND win the world cup with him. Almost impossible but julian took the right routes and worked to get here. Absolutely incredible story
He really took Messi as his idol and walked the same path in order to help him win the WC. You can see the same humility Messi has in Julian, also a similar drive when playing.
Maybe Julian is more physical, but they have the same mentality as never considering a ball lost, trying to score rather than looking for the foul every time they feel the minimum contact.
You really feel both really enjoy leaving everything on the field.
Like half the Argentinian team are fans of Messi. He's that influential. Even Dibu, despite being 5 years younger than him is a fan. An entire generation of fans that grew up to become partners of their idol and help him achieve his ultimate goal

It's above all a testament to Messi's longevity. The reason it's "almost impossible" is also because by the time you grow up and reach that level, your idol will probably not be there anymore. This kid was a fan of him as he was the star of the national team. The kid grows up and joins the national team, he's still the star and the main man. WTF.

To be that young and scored many goals to defend your country in the biggest sport stage in the world and at the end winning it with the GOAT Messi, it's truly a blessing and great story ever written for himself and football fans around the world. He is also so handsome and so humble. I love seeing a young player like this. I'm 6-months pregnant and felt so happy during the world cup because of him and the whole Argentinian team. Hopefully Alvarez is shinning in ManCity.

Hacía mucho tiempo que no me pasaba de encariñarme tanto con un jugador nacido en river , quizás desde AIMAR y Saviola que los admiraba de chiquitos pero este me da demaciado orgullo y más aun saber que soy julianista desde el primer momento ya desde que lo ví en ese partido del mundial de clubes por 3er puesto en 2018 dije este pibe tiene algo diferente y más allá que durante un tiempo no jugaba , jugaba y era irregular siempre dejaba algún mínimo detalle que yo decía faa que bueno que es este pibe , incluso discutiendo con hinchas de river por redes porque durante 2 años amago siempre con explotar y no se terminaba dando , ya en el 2020 en un partido contra San Paulo dónde el la rompe y hace 2 goles si mal no recuerdo me decrete julianista y lo reforze el famoso día de Enzo Pérez de arquero por las bajas por COVID dónde Julián es la figura absoluta de la cancha donde hace el que hasta ahora para mí es su mejor gol , ahí demostró que era un crack absoluto y aún así recuerdo que cuando en junio de 2021 llega una gran oferta de la MLS por el y yo discutiendo con hinchas de river que querían que lo vendan porque era 10 millones y yo decía naaa este pibe es nuestra joyita vale mucho más y ya en ese semestre se destapa absolutamente y la rompe toda en el campeonato que ganamos , era ver a river y preguntarás cuantos goles hará hoy ? Figura absoluta de un campeonato que river lo gana caminando gracias a Juli , y bueno después de eso me tocó defenderlo de los comentarios malintencionados de en su mayoría bosteros que lo trataban de sobrevalorado por el periodismo y por los hinchas de river , que terminaría en un equipo menor de europa a préstamo y luego que ni loco iría al mundial y bueno el tiempo nos dió la razón a los julianistas desde el primer momento y acá está EL MEJOR 9 DE LA COPA DEL MUNDO QUE ACABAMOS DE GANAR y estoy seguro que van a seguir viniendo cosas grandes porque como lo dije hace 2 años atrás este pibe va a ser de los mejores delanteros del mundo y va a pelear balones de oro y ganar champions estoy totalmente seguro de eso

For those of you, not born in Argentina i'd like to explain how different it is for us, the World Cup, because it sometimes even sounds exaggerated the way we talk about it, it's because you're taught about it since you're born, the first thing dads usually do when they get home after their wives gave birth to their child, is to get a team shirt for the baby, we're born in that passion, it's not just a thing you aquire when you grow up and get into a hobby, it's literally a dream you've had since you were born, passed down by generations, to the point that if we didn't have this 'sport' we don't really know what would be of us
Might sound a bit arrogante to say "We feel it different" but it's something i truly believe, and i'm really glad i'm able to share it with people like Julian or Messi
