Looks really yum Clare, I’ll bet that beef was proper tender. Don’t you need to fry off the bacon lardons and mushrooms etc. before adding to the pot??
@fatabelly that's what I thought. But the bbc recipe I followed said to put them in 10 mins before finishing cooking so I added them with 20 mins to go and it tasted great.
@@claresfoodhavenahhh fair enough then…Just seems a bit odd that’s all. The mushrooms no problem maybe, but I thought at least the lardons would need frying off first? If nothing else it would render the fat down if fried off first? Either way it did look great and something I’ll definitely try out. With all that Red Wine I’d be a fool not to! lol. And when are we going to see Eryl in the kitchen?? She sounds like a good backseat chef, so I wonder how she is in the kitchen? ❤
Pow ! Another great recipe, it's 3:25p.m. and I'm going to the market to get the meat, because I have everything else. This is the fastest I've ever seen anyone make this dish so tomorrow night I'm eating good. My goodness I've seen cooks taking 45 minutes just prepping and another 15 putting it together. You're my hero ! 👋😋👍
No criticism meant but you should always fry off lardons to crisp up fat and also mushrooms before adding ( most recipes will tell you this ) , otherwise looks great 👍
@ im sure it did it looked lovely, and you are right as cooking off the lardons is always done and mushrooms , and me personally i’d always reduce the wine right down by using more and add stock reduced too , you probably already know you will get a far richer sauce.x
looks amazing! i would do it in a slow cooker though!
Another great meal Claire I’m going to try and make this meal myself it looks delicious 😋

@carolcurtis1573 that's what I thought but the recipe I followed didn't suggest this. It tasted great anyway

I would like to suggest something but that means risking being shouted at by JoBrown-rd6 🤣.
Then behave yourself and all will be well !🤣🤣🤣
@JoBrown-r6d 🤣😂

I like sprouts but couldn't eat them everyday
Ooohh I could eat a pot of them with salt , pepper and butter yum as long as they’re not over cooked
Delicious but the French folk will be raging mad you have let their secrets out
