Never let frozen pastry come to room temperature or you’ll have a similar sticky mess. Defrost it in the fridge and keep chilled until it goes in the oven.
I wonder if shortcrust pastry would be better as puff pastry couldn’t ‘puff’ in the machine. Was your pastry warm when trying to unroll? I applaud your patience… I would have lost it with it 😂. Overall I think the machine looked good, you could make a load of things in there. X
You could make cakes in the sausage roll maker or use homemade pastry and try that i dont rate ready made puff pastry short crust home made should be better

I saw these in b and ms so interested in seeing this. I made some sausage rolls today too , whatever was wrong with your pastry, if never had it like that before. That machine made some great looking sausage rolls to be fair, probably couldn’t puff up as much as it should which is why dexter wasn’t overly impressed. Thanks for showing us how this worked.

you let the pastry get too warm always use straight from fridge then it isnt sticky

That pastry seems not right being that wet. Normally lidl pastry just rolls off the paper. The paper seems v wet too😮
It’s because it got to warm. I should have used it straight from the fridge

No it’s not Greggs worthy you could put lots of different fillings in though. Like I need another gadget I’ve got Ninja knives on their way.
