Flying The Nest woah man, great editing and videography, I enjoyed watching. Perhentian island on the cards 😍. I wish you had posted a few shots of scuba dive and or snorkeling.
There is a small waterfall near the ship wreck area, and fisherman stop to refill their drink hence the name perhentian which direct translate is stopping area.
Been here last year and wishing to come back❤️ Terengganu have the best paradise 🤍 From our university bus-Penang to Kuala Besut Jetty. I won’t stop sharing my adventure on pulau perhentian to my friends and family because it’s legit awesome 🔥 Not to mention the island is massive and we stayed at kampung pulau perhentian resort. Yess it’s the same village you stayed.
One of the many amazing islands that we have in Malaysia. Just came back from Perhentian Island a few days back, and it is still as beautiful as before. I wish that the Kuala Besut jetty can be further developed and equipped with better facilities.
you should stay at big island.. there a lot activities that u can try.. climb to windmill, snorkling, bar, party every night at long beach.. just enough in 2-3 days.. but thumb up and welcome to my country.
That cafe is where I saw you! :D so fun! And my boyfriend said exactly the same thing in our blog "it looks like the Lost island" ahahah Btw we've been to Borneo, to an island called Selingan and we saw the turtles lay their eggs, it was the best experience in my life! If you have some time check out the blog! Love your vlogs, there's always a joyful vibe around them!

If you coming to Borneo esp Sabah, maybe you should consider this 4 island, Mabul, Sipadan and Mataking Island nearby Semporna and Tiga Island from Kuala Penyu (2-hour ride from Kota Kinabalu). I personally think those 4 Island are way more beautiful than Perhentian. Hope you guys enjoy ur stay !
Im from kuala besut..from pengkalan chepa kelantan airport is nearer to reach kuala besut which took you only an hour maximum..comparimg from kuala trengganu airport which is quite far from kuala besut
Subscribed straight away, your VLOGS are awesome! So much fun to watch and since I also enjoy eating veggies, exploring, street art, cafes and conservation, its safe to say I'm a little hooked! Me and my flatmate, who lives in KL are planning some travels using your VLOGS, I'll definitely be back!
You guys are mistaken. You are actually on the big island. That's where the village is. The small island is the one with the windmill and it hardly has any village in it but resorts and chalets. The long beach in small island where all the fun things happen.
hey guys a fellow malaysian here. loved ur vids. thanks heaps on the nice words u put up for my country. if u r still here, and since u guys love diving, i'd reckon pulau redang would be ur best bet. theres a litle isle just next to the main isle named pulau lima / isle 5 considered to be a dive haven of coral reaves + marine life . it was reported that spot is listed under top 10 scuba diving spots in the world in a local travel programme on tele a while ago. and if ur lucky, u just might get to see some glowing planktons in front of a scuba diving centre on the main isle next to laguna resort. i knoe cuz i just got back from there couple of weeks ago and boy did i manage to get my hands on them. its really pretty. cherrios fellas
Just for suggestion next time you want visit Pulau Perhentian again, you should go on May-September. Cuz May-September is the best weather you can get 👌🏻.
beautiful shots, about 15 years ago there were hardly no resorts in perhentian island and i remember it was way chilling, was very easy to spot turtles and sharks..
If you don't mind the higher cost, you can take a flight from KLIA, or Subang Airport (closer to KL) to Kota Bharu. The flight took 1 hour. From Kota Bharu, you can take a bus tu Kuala Besut which is around 1 hour trip.
Sesiapa yang nak pergi pulau perhentian tu jangan risau kalau korang takut dalam gambar lain, realiti lain. Sebijik je mcm dalam gambar yg kat google tu. Tapi sumpah pulau perhentian ni best gila. Kalau travel dengan kawan lagi best
new subscriber! LOVE your vlogs. And yes, January to May, it's usually the rain season in Malaysia, so do expect light showers and some thunderstorms every now and then. Glad you're enjoying your stay in Malaysia!
I used to go to pherhantian every year in June as a child, I really wish to go back there someday soon. It looks sooo pretty aaaah also love the drone shots
I love your videos! I discovered you while research places in Turkey ( Capadocia video is absolutely gorgeous and the best out there in my opinion). What drew my attention whatsoever is a video you made in Mostar!! So amazing! Lived in Bosnia for a few years . Now im going to Perehentian and im taking your advice :)
Oh the Perhenthians🤩🤩There's lots of places to stay on the small island, you don't have to go to the big island. We spent a week there, and stayed at two different places, and absolutely loved it! And this was 8 years ago, so I doubt there are fewer places to stay there now.. But would def recommend staying on Kuala Besut, one of my favourite places in the world💕
What an awesome way to wake up an extended vlog! Yay! Can't go wrong with 11 minutes of watching you guys ❤️❤️ so jealous of all of your adventures this trip-- and every trip for that matter! This one you're just all over! Can't wait to see what other adventures you have up your sleeve(s) 😊
I went to the small Perhentian island (Kecil) in 2008. There were two touristy and quite beautiful beaches in the middle part, on both west and east sides, and there was a path between them. You can see the longer east side beach in your drone footage. Maybe you will have an opportunity to check them out.
Due to the rain we didn't explore too much! But we did see a popular sunset beach called "Romantic Beach" and then we went to the big island to see turtle cove. Yes that longer east side beach is where a lot of resorts are! Has much changed on the island since 2008 and of course comparing to our footage haha?
I didn't go to that village on the small island so I can't really compare my vague memories with your footage. Probably a lot of change though. Feels like that was ages ago. :)
hye,, sorry my bad english... from the KLIA airport you can just take a flight to KOTA BHARU,KELANTAN . perhentian island is in the Terengganu. but it is easy for you to go to Kelantan airport because its more near to kelantan airport rather than Terengganu airport. but if you want to go to pulau redang(redang island), you just take a flight to KUALA TERENGGANU airport ,TERENGGANU. it only takes about 1hour and a half for both Kelantan and Terengganu. sometimes the flight ticket is pretty cheap too. :) so you dont have to take a bus and waste your time to reach there.. 😁 hope you enjoy your holidays in malaysia!
haha yeah we figured out there was the airport AFTER we took the big long night bus! I wish Malaysia was as cheap as Thailand for flying around otherwise we would've! However!! your buses here are 100% better than in thailand! Actually makes the bus rides not soo bad!
if you take a flight using (air asia) from subang airport, air asia airlines is way cheaper than Mas airlines..sometimes it will only cost you around RM150 / 34$.
You should go at Long Beach Island in area Perhentian Kecil Island. In this area have windmill, fireshow, sunrise/sunset view, jungle trekking, scuba diving, snorkeling, resort, chalet, cafe, restaurant and many people from oversea. You can get some alcohol in there. This video/vlog at Fisherman Village, you have should to get taxi boat if you want to go at Long Beach Island. Go with fullboard package from travel agency or etc.
Love to see those experiences and holidays you were spent there @malaysia @perhentianIsland..went there on March and April 2017 celebrating our wedding anniversary + holidays and u know what, really overwhelming about the island..now, really missed those moments we spent there and i think might want to go there again..
If you think this felt like the Maldives, then you should totally go to Pulau Simpadan, Sabah. You will be impressed by how beautiful the island is. Totally feel like in heaven.
Apostolos Velios I’ve been 3 times in Malaysia in April. And the Rain is not that Bad!. Its not a Monsoon Period. Its the best time to visit it. Alot of Sun, and the Rain mostly in the late Afternoon refresh Everything :-)
Never been to Perhentian Island ... But.. I've been to the "neighbors" island, Redang Island. On the first trip to there I don't put high expectations on that trip. It's almost like your trip, traveling by bus, arrived in early morning... & the boat/ferry that I'm taking is about the same size that you went on. Then... When the boat approaching the island, I fell in love at first sight.. The water looks green, not blue.. It's so beautiful, when I look down I can see fish swimming... Love that unforgettable experience. I kept went back for more of that island.. Yeapp I went for another 3 redang trip after that 😂 Sadly, I didn't get a chance to swim along with turtle. My friend went there with me on his 1st trip he got that chance.. It's just because I skipped one snorkeling trip sessions.. 😢
Welcome to Malaysia, I'm glad you have a great time in Malaysia. There are some addtional tips for you two 1. There is another beautiful diving area in Terrengganu one of it is Tenggol. There is a person whomI know handles diving session there (try to look up Azzudin A Aziz Photography on facebook and try contacting them there), it should help you to plan your trip better. 2. Head to Kuala Terrengganu for a day trip, the scenery is beatiful and there is popular local food there i.e. Pok Nong Ikan Celup Tepung, satar, keropok lekor 007 near kuala ibai and keropok losong in Losong obviously, and nasi dagang in Kuala Terrengganu. 3. Another place which should be convenient to you is th city center jertih, you might want to stop there to buy some stuff and there is also a local food popular spot which sells traditional kuih. If im not mistaken it was pasar jertih.
TBS Is a good bus terminal.. even a train station just beside.. easy access to center.. it's save budget take bus from there..and I also take bus to Thailand from TBS
'I woke up off of my bench'. Great vlog, i want to go to the Maldives to one day the real ones not in Malaysia but they both look great. Looks like a great place. Keep it up😁👍
9:56 It's just like on the Maldives. We stayed in a bungalow 10m (30ft?) from the ocean, for 10 days on Vilamendhoo in 2006. This looks almost as nice. :)

Perhentian got 3 parts. Small big and private. U should go to the private one! Got small bar and much more cleaner! Cheers!
I like Perhentian ... absolutely beautiful
I loved this, it shows the realistic stress the comes along with traveling. Eventually it's fun tho
Perhentian means Stopover, so the islands mean Stopover Islands..used to be a stopover for fishermen fishing in the seas nearby..
My place there , yeahh perhentian was good place to visit and travel.
Beautiful, I have never been to Perhentian too...
