Your video just popped up and I thought wow. You have a lovely motorhome. But we seem to all have problems with the vehicle. We drove all the way to the Fiat garage near cardigan for a recall job. They were absolutely brilliant didn’t need to take it in the workshop. I saw what the mechanic did, it was just a clip, I could’ve done it myself. That would’ve saved the fuel from Carmarthen to cardigan and back !!! Let me know if I can tell you another story about the Fiat ducato. On our way from Fishguard to Rosslare. I think you might enjoy it.
We left Carmarthen three weeks ago, halfway to Fishguard I noticed our back lights were not working. So we stopped in a layby and phoned the RAC. so we carried on driving to Fishguard to meet the RAC and noticed the odometer was flashing so we thought that might be something to do with the back lights. So after an hour waiting at Fishguard harbour for the RAC we phoned them. And they said they will not be able to make it in time. And they would arrange somebody to be in Rosslare to fix the problem when we got there, they gave us a phone number to ring to find out where he would be to meet us. So as soon as we got off the ferry we rang him. And in his lovely Irish accent I will be with you in an hour and a half. So I said we have no back lights and we need to get to our destination, and he said I will follow you to my friends garage in Wexford, but he won’t be able to see you until 12:30 tomorrow. So ROSE and I said forget it we drove to the nearest pub car park about three minutes from the port and stay the night there free of charge. I said to him where is the nearest Fiat garage from here last night he said four hours away. So in the morning I asked ROSE google the nearest Fiat garage. Apparently Gethin‘s garage was only 40 minute drive, apparently his family were from Wales. He said bring it over and gave us the directions and told us not to go on the motorway way and we got there in less than 40 minutes. We got there straight the way they took it into the workshop, put it on a diagnostic test. Which took them 2 1/2 hours in the workshop. He came back and said the problem you’ve got is your ECU for your airbags and seatbelt is kaput. That’s why the odometer was flashing, but your back lights are working good, earth problem. He couldn’t get an ECU from anywhere in Ireland for us to come back and have it fixed. He gave us information that the airbags wouldn’t work if we had an accident. so he gave us the part number. So I thought oh my God how much is his bill gonna be. 😢 they only charged us €30 I couldn’t believe it. I gave him a €10 tip and said have a pint on me. There is some lovely people out there. ❤️
I thought you were going to say the nearest Fiat dealer was Cardigan 😂 I do love Ireland! Got some directions to a holiday rental in Kerry and it said ‘drive to the crossroads and when you get there you’ve gone too far so turn round and come back 400 yards and we’re on the left’ 😂😂 Beautiful place!!

We have our Motorhome serviced at Gethins in county Wexford. It’s a family run business and they are a nice bunch of people. Very obliging.
