They were the fastest car in the WORLD for less than 20 grand when released. 0 to 60 in less than 5.5 seconds. There was nothing that could touch it for the price. Even the later Focus ST was slower.
No question one of the best cars for price when it came out! I still remember when i was 19 seeing the new demo one on display at a concert. Sucks they were rashed up and beat to shit so quickly, But had this car not come out then GM wouldnt have done the Cobalt ss supercharged, which to be fair was even kinda lackluster with 205hp but still kinda fun. I instlled alot of the GM s2 kits in the SC modles back in 04(ion RL)-07 ss balts. But when the 08-10 Balt SS TURBO with 260h 260tq came out it changed the game and even a GM S1 tune put them at 290WHP plus stock BREMBO brakes. Def glad as a former GM tech i have a turbo model. Still love the srt4 tho
Same displacement: 2.5 liter Subaru EJ motor and Nissan Sentra Spec V QR25de. No one to hang out with? Prior to the Focus ST: Chevy Cobalt SS; Supercharged or Turbocharged. Or, same generation as the SRT4, Ford Focus ST. Saturn Ion redline. I'm not making an insult when I say you might be too young to remember those. Regardless, the SRT4 was still welcome among the other sport compacts, if not envied.
Zack! That's not true! I actually owned the Neon companion and would spank SRT-4s regularly with it. (Granted, I had a handful of modifications) I had a 2004 Saturn Ion Redline. If you don't know, the Redlines came from the factory with a supercharged 2.0l EcoTec. They, like the Neons, started production in 2003. If you didn't already know, GM likes to share platforms and the Saturn Ion, Chevy Cobalt and the Pontiac G3 are all essentially the same car. However, Chevy didn't see the Cobalt SS (Ion Redline) until 2005 and then they started using Turbos later on instead of superchargers. You should try to review a Redline! Love the content man!

Hope it works out for ya! But be sure that it's a good one that was well taken care of. Spend a good amount of time on RUclips and Google learning about the car and what to expect. I finally got mine after wanting one since they came out, and I'm lucky enough to have picked this one up for super low price with absolutely no issues and very clean, AND stage 2 from the factory! You're gonna love the car no doubt! But take care of it. Don't rag on it and kill it otherwise parts are always gonna break and you'll have an all around bad experience 😁

The seats! Most of them came with viper inspired seats ! Definitely different from a regular neon ....
And the ACR version of the srt4 came with custom ACR bucket seats
