I’m sure there’s a low chance your gonna respond but I tried to rebuild my kx forks and we took apart the fork with the caliper mount and put the seals and everything in our fluid in and it has good compression but it rebounds so slow as I was watching your video I realized you pulled a spring out of it and mine don’t have one, is it possibly mine just wouldn’t have one or could that be a reason it blew the seal ?
@@mxgryan any tips of what I can do to make it rebound like it should or should it come up that slow it it’s the damper side I’m just lost right now it’s the first time I’ve rebuilt forks lol
@@mxgryan I am looking to make a fork spring compressor and was interested in how you compressed it. I looked away for a second and missed it. Then I was like "why does that kx have one coated fork and one uncoated". I have done several of these and some street bikes with ratchet straps. Just looking for something a little more controlled. Nice video though.
@@ryork6476 i can't believe no one ever told me the video was messed up lol. As far as compressing it...the first one I ever did, I used a ratchet strap and it was sketchy as hell. The 2nd time, I screwed around for 2 hours using a press. Then, I broke down and bought the Race Tech spring compressor and it made it tons easier.

That's normal. The spring is in the other fork!
