Awesome to watch this, it's fun to see people that excel at their craft.
Thank you! There’s always more to learn when it comes to suspension.
Kevin is a suspension wizard. He has done a great job on all my bikes. I highly recommend giving him a call for all your suspension needs.
Thanks, Dana! Always grateful for your business and referrals ❤
This is without doubt the best instruction video I ever seen. High class professionalism: skills in combination with fine tuned personal excellence.
More content like this please, waiting for part 2.
Watching this did not made me want to do my own suspension service but convinced me to let a pro do it. I do pretty much everything else on my bike except splitting the motor in half cuz I the lack time and the proper tools.
Love KYB suspension. After owning many dirt bikes I am now at the point where if it doesn’t have KYB suspension I am not buying the bike.
I cant say how jelly I am of this guys setup! Im close but not quite there lol. Absolutely amazing 👌
Awesome shop and setup
What kind of solvent do you guys use that don't damage seals and orings. great vid
That parts washer is awesome 👌🏻
Thanks for this video I need all I can get from suspension vids they are kinda intimidating to me with all the small parts but wow that shop 😮. Very nice and organized and he goes nice and slow with steps of taking the fork apart👍👍
This is actually golden! Very hard to find any info about fork service. Thanks for the valuable info, for free. I should have paid for this. 🔥
Great video.👍🏼 Personally I have always serviced my forks. From the 1970s to my 2006 CRF450. Kevin is an awesome mechanic, wouldn't hesitate giving my suspension to him. Thanks for the upload.
Very interesting video - thanks for sharing! I'm with you Kyle - after watching this I am less inclined to do this work myself and let the pro do it.
Any idea what type of solvent is being used in the parts washer?
Mineral spirits usually
what are the main tools to do a full fork service for a 2022 sherco 300ser it has a 48mm KYB closed cartridge fork , what are the measures in mm for the tools to unscrew the cartridge?
This has given me some great ideas on shop setup
Great vid, very informative👍
watching this video was more relaxing than any yoga or relaxing music hahahah
Woulda loved to see the inner cartridge oil change
Did he pull that lower adjuster off without backing off the settings?
Hello, who won the bikes
What about priming the forks with the new fluid priming the a vauls. It's nesasery
Anyone know where he gets the red o ring on fork tube? Tried finding OEM from Ktm but they only have the shoe setup not individual.
Great video Kyle……did you do a shock service one
Who makes tables like that with a drain trough on the front ?
Awesome!
Nice shop
What product do you use in your kleen washing machine system?
When is the drawing for the bikes?
Could you ask what chemical he uses in his parts washer?
How much is a service like this ?
I need help with my bikes. I seem to keep blowing my head gasket. How do I fix this. I have two bikes with the same problem.
What solvent do you use for clean up?
How much does it cost to have this service?
Sure is a fancy shirt to be doing suspension in
Servicing suspension is messy and a lot if cleaning, especially for DIY. I do my own valving, but servicing I often hand out to professionals that I trust.
I want to know how Kevin cleans his nice shirts after all those oils and chemicals get on them 🤣
There’s a reason I wear black 😂
Dawn dish soap...he bathes his dogs and self at the same time
This is not how the used oil out of the fork is supposed to look like - clearly has aluminium dust, which indicates worn anodized coating inside on the aluminium outer tube. And if Alu dust is found inside the cartridge, then same applies (usually happens by rebound stopper spring rubbing on the inside of cartridge wall)
I just use the old seal to drive the new one in
Really appreciate you making this video but it is really hard to try and figure out how to change the seals when it is 90% useless bs with 10% practical hands on how to do it. Frustrating as hell when trying to work on something.
Amateur tip for the pro. Loosen top fork in triple clamps before removing
Another tip. If you loosen the fork cap while the fork leg is still in the triple clamps, loosen up the upper clamp fasteners before attempting to loosen the fork cap. Otherwise you'll end up rounding the hexagon on the cap. It's very soft...
