Lol, this is why Koffee exists. There was a point where there was a growing standard and some bad actors came in and derailed that shit hard as hell with feels and rainbow politics. Now you have everybody trying to play "nice-nice" with the bigger slumbags so they can possibly use their clout to grow their own supporter base instead of using their own skill and material for it. Comi-ken seems like an okay guy. I already saw his video discussing koffee comics approach before this dropped and I figured he'd play fogmaster moderate by saying some things are true but not acknowledging who. I didn't think Muzi was gonna catch him that bad early on though, LMAO. Good shit, Muzi. Even I was surprised when I saw that video about whyt manga saying he couldn't afford his medical procedure. I don't always agree with Muzi, but damn. These dudes are showing why Muzi is needed.
"You are the right person because you're the only person saying it at this time," is NOT an answer. And it doesn't even make logical sense. And I don't consider kickstarters for comics as "successful sales" because it's not a sale. It's an "I owe you and I'm in debt to you." It's not even the American Dream in the slightest because it's not a "started from the bottom, now we are" concept. It's basically making the average people your loanshark. Patreon is okay because you need to give consistent stuff for the subscription. People keep using children as an excuse but forget plenty of manga artists have wives and even children of their own.
And now Muzi is in the algorithm because he's clearing up fog and clapping the cheeks of these divestors during these debates. And further more, there are highly skilled indie manga creators agreeing with the majority of his concepts. Lol, they keep giving this man free coffee beans to grind.

@@fatefan1440 There's no discrimination towards the rainbow flag. So you're putting words in my mouth. Rainbow politics are, in fact, infiltrating things with no real purpose and not even being supported by most rainbow people.
Think about it. What's the point of a gay superman for example? Superman for most of his fictional existence has stood on the pillar of justice and treating people fairly. But people read Superman to see him do superman things. Not watch him flirt with a boyfriend. They should have just marketed it as a boys love drama comic instead. There wouldn't be anything wrong with that and that description would be accurate! Even the stories that focus more on the relationship with a straight superman and lois lane don't do as well as the stories that focus on Superman doing superman things. People read these stories to see the genre doing the genre things.
That is why people have a problem with the rainbow politics. The political part of the rainbow community isn't supporting and buying all the stuff they begged for people to make. They just say "well it should have been made and everyone should buy it even though I won't." Dude, people don't even buy comics nowadays like use to if we are gonna be honest. The sales were falling even before the rainbow agenda went big.

I really liked this interview/debate. I personally love this channel because it’s the only one dishing out the caffeine, but this interview gave more context as to why you do it.

  • @nelsonnavarroart
    @nelsonnavarroart 7 месяцев назад +12

The debate is alright, but it's a contradiction when Koffee Manaas talks about others playing the victim on the Internet when he puts himself in that position all the time, when he says he's been in a mental health hospital, when he says he's in a jungle with no opportunities, when he says he's been trated badly by some woman, when he says he was in a dark place mentally and all that... Which I consider normal, we all vent stuff from time to time even on the Internet, and thats even more personal than telling a story of being hit by a car, so there is no point in trying to put someone down for doing so other thwn expressing hate to the person, it's hypocritical and egocentric that when you do something is cool (with whatever justification) but when somebody else does it he's playing the victim.
I agree with the points being made in this channel (it's nothing new to me though, it's been talked about for years now, just not on RUclips), but Koffee's persona is just full of contradiction, it's even fun sometimes.

Yes it is, but for you, your context is the only valid one and that's where you're wrong. Anyone can suffer anywhere, not only in Africa, you know? And I'm talking from Colombia, from a city that's worse than the jungle you describe, you're privileged in comparison to most people here. So yeah, for me you're always playing the victim and doing more videos and speculation from a comfort zone than pursuing an actual artistic goal. And I say this based on everything you've said and done on RUclips, this is the same kind of proof you give when talking about others, just quick conclusions based on a superficial source.
I agree with your points, again, but that other part about you is some kind of a joke that actually makes me laugh some times, that's why this channel is entertaining, but I do know you can do better than that and I'm waiting to see what you come up with.

Yeah, I do agree with him that there should be higher standards in quality when it comes to not only manga, but entertainment in general and his overall aspirations.
But talking about other people as if they know them or say what they're going through isn't real, calling them zombies, sissies, hunchbacks, and all that jazz, it's not even the matter of growing thicker skin. That just comes off as plain disrespectful. You can clearly get your point across without all of that extra shit.
And it especially doesn't help your case when you insult or show animosity to those who disagree with your takes in the comments. Just saying

Thing is in the manga industry while you definitely benefit from standards and strict deadlines it still isn't sustainable as so many mangaka who have lasting health problems later in life and you must always live to enjoy the labour after its done.
There is a balance where you can have deadlines and strict quality control not killing yourself to make the manga. but you do need consistency and actual hard work, that cant be ignored.

As one of the random scrollers let me tell ya, this was riveting. I'm not into manga or anime for that matter, but seeing these two talk was less of a debate and more of one man refusing the call to adventure while realizing the antagonist was not the real villain he was led to believe was wicked and cruel. One man is given something to ponder while the other sees an ember of a great flame that needs to be unleashed and is given a sliver of hope.
    Idk might be off base

I think artists just be a little sensitive sometimes 😅 The reason a lot of them went to art was to escape the world I think. They kinda need more of a jock mindset, but so many of them are nerds. This is gonna be a work in progress 😂😂
