    It's up to us, the professional patients, to tell people about oral minoxidil. I have to laugh when people say "ask your physician" about oral minoxidil because almost every medical professional I've spoken to has never heard of it. If you're lucky, you might find a good dermatologist or hair transplant surgeon who knows what oral minoxidil is. The average person on Internet hair loss forums knows more about off-label hair loss drugs than 90 percent of doctors. As for its safety, it's not approved for hair loss, but it is approved for hypertension. People have been using Loniten in higher doses (some people with high blood pressure use 40mg) since 1979. If it gave people abrupt heart attacks and made them drop like flies, wouldn't we know about it by now? People refuse to learn from history and instead, they listen to people who fear monger. The fear mongering is as bad as it is from the post-finasteride syndrome group. They think that finasteride causes suicide, depression, liver damage and permanent side effects.

    • @Daniel-uk6yr
      @Daniel-uk6yr Год назад +7

      Thats the thing, people DONT use it for hypertension, because it is a really shitty drug and there are 4 groups that actually work well for it

      But you’re playing Russian roulette with your life! This drug was taken off the market because it is dangerous it is not even used for hypertension anymore! You want to take this drug fine go ahead no one can stop you, No one can stop you either from putting a gun to your head and blowing your brains out that’s your choice as well, just don’t try and make this drug out to be a healthy option for hair loss sufferers because it isn’t, it is a highly unstable drug that can cause lasting and irreversible effects to your cardiovascular system maybe not right away but then again you’re proposing to take this drug for as long as you want your hair which could mean 10, 15 or 20 years but I doubt you’ll be around that long anyway mate so go ahead take the gamble! I can’t believe there are so many Desperate people who will Go to any lengths to preserve their hair even if it means the high potential of heart disease which kills more people in the world than cancer! One last thing to remember once you’re diagnosed with congenital heart disease you will be on blood thinners and statins for the rest of your life you also have a higher risk of stroke all these things still don’t put you off taking this drug then you might need to see somebody regarding your mental state as only someone who is completely retarded would take these kind of risks just to keep their hair, you are A very stupid man who is being influenced by a pair of idiots on a RUclips channel who have about as much grasp of The true medical long-term outcome of taking this drug as a recess monkey!

      You will probably do well. I've heard of people using only a 0.2mg dose of finasteride in order to avoid side effects but keep their hair. It's best if you take the pill, stop thinking about it and go about your day. Keep yourself busy with work or a hobby that requires a lot of focusing. It will make you stop thinking about meds. When I started finasteride, I read too many Internet stories and made myself paranoid about side effects. Don't make the same mistake I did.

    I have had terrible heart arrhythmia to the point where i woke up in the midlle of the night anxious and sweating profusely when i was using 7% minoxidil topical combined with dermarolling.
    So there is definitely a threshold of how much minoxidil can be absorbed into the bloodstream before you get heart issues.
    Now i'm back to 2,5% minoxidil topical and no dermarolling.

    The difference is that black label. Finasteride does not have the potential to affect your heart the way that oral minoxidl does. Losing your libido is one thing but your heart is one of the most important organs you have and heart disease is the leading cause of death in developed countries. What is the long term effects of oral minoxidil on your heart. So imo, oral minoxidal is a valid option but I would never treat it as the same level of danger as finasteride or as easily recommend it to others.

I live in Switzerland and still don't get it prescribed by any doctor in 2023. I find it just unbelievable and I really can't explain why Europe/Switzerland with the exception of a few countries such as England is so far behind in the approval of drugs and hair research. Been on fin for a almost a year. Looking back and is insane how much hair has returned. I have a photo of when I first noticed it (I was on PEDs at that time) and the difference is massive. Is is way thicker, grows faster, and the hairline has stabilize but didn’t lower as much as I wanted to.
    So now I’m hoping on oral minoxidil after being on topical for about 4 months. I just the best regrowth and what’s better than to start it now. Heard way more success stories on Oral that than topical which for me has been pretty normal. Not a hyper responder but I was getting really decent regrowth on me temple. It regrew a ton of vellus hair at my hairline, and it made my black hair even darker.
    Hopefully I respond well to it, so far with topical hasn’t been an issue especially since I been using it daily for 2 years now since I been using it for facial hair which was great. Legit didn’t have shit before definitely try it if you’re baby face.

    I'm 58 and no bald spots but I've noticed my hair thinning quite a bit. It's been a gradual process. I started noticing in my late 40's it seemed to be accelerating. I know it happens with age. It's getting too thin for my liking. I'm also very nervous of trying oral minoxidil. Finasteride as well. I've read too many bad stories on RUclips and Reddit. I've never knew you could have heart issues using topical. Even at my age I train in Martial Arts and weight train. i do very intense cardio. I wonder if it's safe. I posted a comment on another RUclips channel about hair loss and I received a comment 'You're 58 what do you care if you're losing your hair" Wait until that guy gets older You don't stop caring what you look like lol. I look better with hair, some guys look great bald. Not sure what to do but I'd like to do something. Another channel a guy posted he had great results with Saw Palmetto and topical Minoxidil. There is so much conflicting info. Thanks for the video.

      @@GetLocklabOne day you will have a lot to answer for, it’s one thing taking a gamble with your own life that’s your prerogative but preaching this hypertension pill on a channel where there are a lot of naive and impressionable young men Who will ignore the warnings and just take more or less anything to retain their hair is totally irresponsible! Do you know the long-term dangers of taking this drug, I’m talking about over the next 10 to 20 years do you not understand the implications this drug could have on your own cardiovascular system long-term you’re sitting there grinning like an idiot but what will you do when one day you’re diagnosed with congenital heart disease which by the way is irreversible! I would like to see you in a few years come back on this channel and tell people what it feels like to have heart disease and be told by your doctors they cannot treat you until you give up taking oral minoxidil which in turn will lead to hair full and all your gains lost plus by this time your SMP will have faded you will look like the circus freak my friend and that would make for a great video just to warn the Younger generation not to listen to uneducated brainless imbeciles Like you and your friend in this video who looks actually like he’s wearing a toupee!!!😂

    Hey, David, did you get PRP or HA treatment during your surgery with Dr Mwamba? I am going to have my second HT next month.

    Does it have any side effect on sperm count? Does topical minoxidil has same efficacy like oral? thanks

      Oral minoxidil is more effective than topical. There could be a slight decrease in ejaculate volume, but I had two daughters while on this medication …with very little trying 😅 …so I think you’ll be good 😉
