Christina - is it possible to change the side of the fridge doors to open right to left? Not sure if possible on vintage fridges. However, if so, it would be better.

I have a tiny Galley Kitchen in my 320sqft studio apartment.
Many of the solutions you recommend I have also discovered on my own.
I LOVE the Dash mini appliances!
The waffle maker and egg bite maker fit neatly into a base cabinet pencil drawer (the 3 inch deep top drawer), and the egg cooker makes quick perfect hard-boiled eggs!
I used to make food in bulk and freeze the excess, but my freezer is too small and I'm only cooking for myself, so I've downsized all my small appliances to smaller volume versions. Easier to handle (weight!) and requires less space to store.
I do have a few more restrictions than you, including the fact that it's a rental (so no permanent modifications; all must be rental-friendly and temporary) and there's no wall space to use vertically, but I have managed to make do by creative use of free-standing shelving units and tension-rod-based shelving (one of these utilize two floor-to-ceiling tension rods as supports, between which attach slide-expansion shelves placeable at any height; what was meant to provide adjustable storage above a toilet instead allows me a drop zone and transition space near my apartment entrance while allowing circulation at the wall's heating vent and unblocked access to the electrical panel).
Also, adhesive attachment is your friend.
There's a lot that can be done with adhesive attachment of low-weight-capacity storage aids.
An example: I saved myself some counter and drawer space by installing a magnetic bar for knife storage inside a wall cabinet door just above my usual prep area. It came with an inset steel strip with mounting screws, but I replaced the steel strip with a length of silicone double-sided tape (branded as 'Alien Tape'). It works perfectly!
Advice for those using adhesive attachment:
Almost all temporary adhesives are OIL-BASED.
Just as gummy/tar-like things that stick to things are basically dried out oil-based substances, adhesives are also oil-based.
Because they're oil-based, the two best ways to remove them are either by administering heat (using a blow dryer or hot water) or by diluting with oil (any kind of cooking oil). For removal from things that oil could stain (walls, fabrics), it's wiser to just use heat, but where you DO use oil, clean the oil up afterwards with full-concentrate dish detergent.
I use this method all the time to remove labels and stickers from any item (jars, new purchases, etc).
    DO NOT USE SOLVENTS!
Some adhesives won't work with them. In too many instances, the solvent will dissolve the item!
What I don't think many people realize is something more than a personal decor style is your use of color in all things, so allow me to highlight the smart choice you made.
Living in a small space, especially one where storage options are optimized, it's very easy to end up feeling like you're trying to function in a shop's back storage area. Things hidden behind cabinet/pantry doors and drawer fronts reduce visual clutter, but open shelves and carts and the like not only add visual clutter, they protrude into habitable and functional space. Every added shelf, bin, basket, or cart steals footprint volume, reducing space occupancy and excluding where you or your actions can function. Consciously or subconsciously, you feel the confinement.
But you have solved this issue by use of smart decisions!
I want to applaud you in this.
First, you are very strategic in WHERE you place additional storage availability.
Too many shelves, too many containers, and it will definitely look AND FEEL like a tight storage closet.
You let the room BREATHE, taking care not to block natural light coming through windows and being RESTRAINED in where you increase storage, especially storage that leaves contents open to view.
    This is SO smart!
The second thing is the use of COLOR to CAMOUFLAGE the items in view.
You restrict your kitchen's color palette to white with a light-colored pastel accent.
The white monotone keeps the kitchen feeling bright and airy, while the minimal use of pastel accents elevates what would otherwise be boring. The bit of color adds just enough visual interest to be joyful, but the foundational monotone keeps the room tranquil.
    Genius!
Too often when we attempt to stretch limited space, we focus so much on making the best of functionality that we forget about the impact of making it TOO functional and sacrifice aesthetic. It's hard to function in a space that FEELS tight and visual clutter WILL interfere in cleaning and putting things away. Kitchen design integrates function, storage, AND EXPERIENCE.
I saw how even the white cups and shelving disappear into the general bright whiteness of the kitchen, and I just had to mention how intelligent kitchen setup requires addressing more than just where to put things.
    Really nice!
    One question about your fridge:
Can you reverse the hinge placement?
Most fridges today have the option to switch the direction of door swing, and having the door open right-to-left would allow easier access to, and restock from, the countertop on the right.
One of the first things I did when I rented my apartment was reverse the fridge door; like yours, my fridge was inset, the fridge door level to the wall jog on its left and adjacent to the countertop on its right. The original setup was hinge on the right (counter-side), but I changed the door to hinge on the left (wall-side), which works much better.
I realize your fridge door may need more clearance at the wall-side to accommodate the fridge door handle (in my case, I have about 4 inches of space that I use to store a broom, mop, telescoping duster, stepladder, and stored paper shopping bags), but would that still work without reducing/replacing a base cabinet?
Also, a question about the 'island' prep area:
I have about as much prep space as the main appliance run of your kitchen, but you have that expanse of pure prep area that makes me envious!
So, my question is: did you design the base cabinets below the counter with an eating/serving utensil drawer facing the dining table?
Yes, this would mean shorter reach in back-to-back drawers, but makes it handier in function. I just wondered if you considered this when you designed the kitchen. If you did consider and reject it, I would benefit in knowing what influenced your decision.

@@Jane-ie9ul Starts with; I purchased this tiny home by the lake and renovated it for short term rental. Short term renters use space differently. This is classic staging, not realistic for real people with real lives. This space is rented to vacationers of a certain size, cabinets purchased to serve that. The Sink is built in and comes with the ledges needed. Place a cutting board over most sinks and because of the rounded edges and faucets it makes the cutting board dangerous Buy buy buy is not cleaver. This is not a solve for the apartment or house you're in. Glad you found examples

Oh, it's been well used for 2 years now and people stay for weeks at a time. The sink is specifically designed to hold the cutting board it came with properly.
