My tastes have evolved but it was my favorite bad movie for a while, too! I watched it twice on RUclips(no one cares about the movie!) and watched dozens of reviews and commentaries making fun of it. The Amazing Atheist did it as well on his Cinema for Cynics and both him and Paul just break down at the end, laughing to tears and it's quite a sight to behold. I'd like Good Bad and Bad Bad doing an analysis on it, heck, I think I'll send them 100 dollars just to watch their reactions! XD

I actually saw a trailer for the original Foodfight before the film pieces were stolen. The animation actually looked quite good and it had its own decent little version of Copa Cabana. Even if the animation was better though, I doubt people would've liked this movie.

I was at a animation studio that used these discs, and used them to death, as they were relatively expensive at the time. They were also not really handled with great care by the animators (frequently doing double-duty as coasters for their coffee), so data was often corrupted, or just gone. It was a difficult time to be an animation producer at the time.
Rewatching this and knowing what came to be later on in the years.... it wouldn’t take much to convince me that the person who stole the original footage from this film was later part of the team who made Sausage Party 🤔

Theory: Foodfight was intended to be an adult comedy movie and should have been rated R, but it was mistaken for a kids' movie due to the stereotype that animated movies are for kids.

I worked on a project where a collection company came in and took the tape decks out, we called the cops but they let them take what they wanted based on some shady paperwork that was shown. We had to start over as we could not afford to get new decks to finish the edit at the time so I could see the hard drives being taken as in 1999 drives still cost an arm and leg. I paid $6,000 for two 9 gig drives in 1995.
