This whole movie seems like one really bad vore fanfiction. Like someone wanted to do a horror story with the concept but then James Nguyen hijacked it halfway through. actually no. People in Birdemic actually conveyed panic when the scene called for it. It was shit, but they did.
Parts of it look pretty FUNNY too. I mean INTENTIONALLY COMICAL, like the scene with the people having group sex getting ingested and the part with the gangsters playing cards on the bed.

Once I worked on sketch episodes in Iceland and two of the sketches were named “The towel of death” and “The shoes of death” One about a towel that strangled people and the other about shoes that took the control and ran with the victims in front of cars or off a cliff. Much more realistic and scary than this.
I like how the bed story starts with a demon living in a tree and instead of going the easy route and saying "Oh, someone made a bed out of the tree's wood" they made all this ridiculously convoluted junk about the wind, the girl and the false man.
It's been so long since I watched this video, but it's still one of my favorites. I always lose it at "Yeah, you gotta be careful out there in the backyard, there's all sorts of dangerous stuff, like snakes...crocodiles...beds..."
Those ridiculous hands at 15:16 and then 15:23 seriously crack me up, and the dude is so calm as she breaks off his little bone hands. It's movies like this that keep me coming back time and time again. This is great stuff :)
When the apples come out of the bed, after being "digested", there are clearly teeth marks in the apple cores. If it was just chemically digested, shouldn't the surfaces be more rounded.

It's William Russ, apparently his first apparition (luckily he got better), he was (and still is ) in a lot of series (I love his role in a 80's serie called Wise guy) and he played in American History X
Hey, I say fuck remaking this flick! .. . even in view of how flawed it is. THIS flick does indeed have a weird eerrie creepy truly dreamlike quality that I admire and value, .. . and which could not be simply duplicated and would be lost in any fuckin remake. THAT's a problem with remakes and a reason I'm against them, even of so called "bad" films, .. . when you remake a movie just to correct it's imperfections - to iron out it's kinks so to speak - you also, in the process, LOSE it's COOL QUALITIES which can't be duplicated.
This channel may have a low amount of subscribers, n may not get a lot of views but i overall enjoy these movie reviews more than any other movie reviewer. Keep up the great job, also review Pixels by Adam sandler

Probably some kind of acid. Doesn't even need to be that strong depending on what you want to dissolve, if you create a prop out of a material that dissolves easily in one type of acid( like prop flesh around a prop bone hand), You can probably get a cool shot of the prop flesh quickly dissolving. Either that or this whole film was just used as an excuse to buy a bunch of hydro-chloric acid for some nefarious purposes...

I don't know if it was a remake of this movie or not but a few years ago i saw a movie very similar where a group of people were stuck on a large bed and if they got off the bed they died. It was equally bad and almost understandable but it had that "Trainwreck" quality to it where i just couldn't turn away no matter how much i wanted to.

Keep up the good work, and if you want a truly weird movie to review take a look at the ultra-obscure and truly strange gem "The Manchu Eagle Murder Caper Mystery". It's not easy to find but it's easily as weird as "Death Bed: The Bed That Eats" only with chickens.

Not only that, they should have showed scenes of the parents are getting crazy and unexplainably attracted to the bed A cool thing would be, since it's a bed, it gives dreams and memories of their dead daughter, so they eventually get lost in their minds and once they are at the peak of their vulnerability, the bed eats them! I hear the Bed got an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor, he definitely put up a performance worthy of that of Marlon Brando in "The Godfather."

this was a case of me looking for that other death bed movie, finding this one, and digesting both on the same day. this one is leaps and bounds better than the full moon adjacent more modern one. for me, why i love this movie isn't the so bad angle. it has an aesthetic and feel to it that could have only come from the 70's, and i respect that. on a film making level my favorite movies are the ones that cannot be imitated and are so purely a product of their times, they are a time capsule. speaking of the devil though, one of my bucket list dreams is to remake death bed as an anthology film series, sandwiching the original movie between shorts that reflect the styles and sensibilities of each generation of films preceding and succeeding the original.
I think a lot of people are lost on the fact that the man stuck in the painting is supposed to be Aubrey Beardsley. I think that adds a whole new level of appreciation for this movie.
I don't fucking care if you don't put videos weekly, just keep the quality, it's worth the wait :D By the way, Stephen King wrote a story about a killer couch that eat shit, it's a fun short story.
Kinda can see the reason for bringing in the bed. 1-200 years ago beds were expensive, especially big ones like this. This would be considered a luxury item back then and would probably be used as a family bed for 3-5 people to share

The was an episode of a show called “Monsters”. Used to be on on Saturday nights in the 90s right before tails from the dark side. In the episode the guy fed girls to his monster bed.

I think a lot of people are lost on the fact that the man stuck in the painting is supposed to be Aubrey Beardsley. I think that adds a whole new level of appreciation for this movie.

Kinda can see the reason for bringing in the bed. 1-200 years ago beds were expensive, especially big ones like this. This would be considered a luxury item back then and would probably be used as a family bed for 3-5 people to share
