    Thank you for another lovely video. I like the relaxed approach, the random line, letting your hand choose the direction. It reminded me of the times I spent doodling through my school and college years, not knowing where it was going in the early stages. I need to rediscover that approach and apply it in my sketchbook.

    You make it look sssssooo easy. Which is good and bad. It is good to know what can be done. It's bad that I can't do it. Yet.
    Being of a more mature stage in life, I will probly get there and get so excited that I'll suddenly run out of my pre-ordained heartbeats and shuffle off this mortal coil. At least I can go with pencil in hand and a smile on my face.
    Ah well. Back to watching your lessons and the drawing board.
    Keep up the good work.

    It seems that all these instructional videos are leaving out the one thing I'm as interested in as how to draw figures, objects, etc. And that is the viewing angle. Most of them give you the perspective of straight on. I know that may be important, but different aspects of view makes drawings so much more interesting. Like...imagine Plato giving an oratory. The first thing that pops in my mind is a straight on shot or "scene". But what about changing it where your view is not ground level, completely horizontal? How about you're viewing him from an elevated position and to the side? Not sure what this called, but "aspect angle" may be it.

    Hello! I Just wanted to ask if you could help me with my art exams? There will be a figurative composition painting from imagination. For example: teacher will choose theme "circus" (or any other themes) and we must create some kind of figure composition from imagination in that theme with watercolor, acrylic or guache. What should I practice? 😅

    • @CarolinPeters
      @CarolinPeters  2 года назад +1

      Can you construct a simplified/deconstructed version of a person from imagination. Sometimes it's called the mannequin. That's where I'd start. Practice drawing the human as simple boxes, cylinders and eggs from different angles. If you don't know how to do that, get one of the mannequin sculptures from the art store out of wood, and practice drawing that from all angles. I'd try to first draw it from imagination and then take the mannequin to compare what the figure looks like. Good luck!
