    I'm not seeing anyone else talk about it, but the camera angles in this room are ace. with the angles you picked you can really SEE what your talking about. This felt fresh and awesome and a lot like what I wanted to see from this channel

      Thank you for putting into words what some of us have noticed but not yet commented about - specifically, Skall's creative camera work and use of props when demoing.
      I've noticed his demos have grown particularly innovative over the last few years. It's a shame he hasn't been invited to show them in TV documentaries and such.

    • @mohammedmenri2713
      @mohammedmenri2713 2 года назад +1

      Agreed. This guy is one of the best when it comes to demoing this kind of stuff. He is thorough and he takes camera angles and lighting seriously, and is also pretty objective, logical and thorough in how he does things. Sure he doesn't cover everything in exhaustive detail but that would take way longer and could get tedious. He is well detailed but not boring. Very nice

    I always considered those spiked dueling and spiked buckler shields as defensive weapons not just shield per se, just like the parring dagger.

    Okay, the intro deserves a like regardless of the rest of the content.
    Edit: I have watched the rest now, I love how this is filmed. Fantastic content Skall!

    I've seen in previous videos that you prefer the center-grip shields to the forearm shields, so it makes sense that you would focus on center-grips for this video. I'd be interested in a follow-up or supplement that is the same format but for forearm grip shields.

    Loved the idea of putting the camera on a dummy, interact with it and give us the POV perspective as we where the opponent.

    Shields are, to say the absolute least, an interesting tool, an iconic part of every culture, and a memorable inclusion wherever it’s included in detail beyond a placeholder/prop.
