I love it that you ortrestrated the Final Fantasy 8 soundtrack because Final Fantasy 8 is easily one of my favorite Final Fantasy games.
this is the best theme in the series (in my opinion)
of course that's because of my experience with this piece of music, i think Nobuo Uematsu is a musical prodigy

It's probably from a high school royale game, that's the nearest i can think of.

There are other FF8 tracks that are better I would say. But this one brings back my youth to the highest degree. Oh those gardens. The world I would want to live in.

I heard this song for the first time in a playlist my D&D DM made, instantly had to check it out when I heard 1:04 in the background. I grew up playing the oboe and it instantly got my attention.
This and Breezy. I like this take on the song.

I used to hate this track, after hearing it so often (I somehow always got lost inside the Garden), but I this version of it brought a grin to my face.

A serious question though. How are you able to sell this as an album on Spotify and other sites. Did you need permission or is it because you have in a sense recreated it? Do square Enix take a percentage at all? Genuine question. I think your work is very good
One can purchase the mechanical licenses for x-ammount of physical copies or turn to a digital distributor that deal with cover music. In my case, I use Soundrop - they withdraw and pay out royalties to the original artist/owner (about 30% if I remember correctly) based on streams/sales of my releases.

Controversial but FF8 was the best final fantasy.. better than FF7. I'm happy it didn't get recreated because I would have been so mad with them using the new awful battle system... RIP turn based games
A remake for ff8 would be amazing tho. They could give the game the character development it needs, and tell the story in a better way.
