thanks!!! Loving the app...will definitely be using it a lot more in my videos in the future! (Might request a ceiling feature when running first person mode)
Thanks for sharing! A very quick and clear actual play 👌. I’ll answer some of your questions from the video 😊. At 15:30: Yes, the failed defense test when the spider tried to bite her awards 1 xp. But failed initiative tests (KNO) doesn’t not give xp, it’s the only exception in the game 😊. A ‘Test’ is an attribute test, meaning when you roll dice to test an ability. At 26:20: “W2/S3 creatures” means that the ability will affect two creatures of choice on a weak success and 3 creatures of choice on a strong success. A creature is the most broad definition of something that’s a valid target, less specific definitions are: Ally, and Enemy. So creature is everyone and anyone. At 29:06: You are correct that Sinister strike uses DEX and not STR, even though it’s a melee attack. That’s the Rogues special ability, to be able to fight in melee with DEX, no other class can do that. Thanks again for doing this actual play 🙏
Thanks so much for the clarifications.... real quick 1 - Seems like leveling would happen very quick, is that the case? 2 - Gotcha thanks! Im assuming I wouldnt be forced to use all 3 shields if I didnt want too though right? Like in the instance where I only had 2 friendly targets.
@@ClassicRollPlayer No worries! it takes on average 6-7 sessions (3-5 hours each) to reach max level. So it’s not as quick as you would expect. It’s actually balanced around the fact that most campaigns last on average 6 sessions, according to a poll that Wizards of the coast did a few years ago. The way I wrote it, all three shields are spent when you use the ability, even if you only have two valid targets. But in this case you were three in that party, so everyone would have gotten a shield.
@@dawnfist-games that makes a lot of sense on the leveling tbh. I've been playing a lot in the past few years with a lot of groups and only one have ever gotten up to level 5 ( after a year long 5e campaign ) and then the group fell apart. So I love this leveling. On the shield thing, I was just trying to make sure you are not forced to give a shield to an enemy if you have leftovers. Thanks again!
@@ClassicRollPlayer I had the same experience, so many different times, so that’s why I consciously balanced the leveling so that you would be able to reach max level within the most common length of play 😊. I see now what you mean about the shield, yes absolutely, you don’t have to give an enemy a shield 😄.
Very cool thank you for sharing!
