The art is very similar to Mucha's work. It's called Art Nouveau (La Sagrada Familia) 1890s-1910s. Alphonse Mucha was a very famous and renowned Czech artist of the style. It's a more "curvy" sytle and later Art Deco sort of evolved of it (Chrysler Building, Bioshock) 1920s-30s.
Honestly I really like the art style here and the script and environment reinforce it. They have made a good selection of materials that work together.
Looks like exploring the map in this does pay off pretty well. I have a feeling you could've really exploited Pip the Adventurer if he indeed buffed cavalry by 2 power as an artifact unit. Perhaps it was a in reserve thing or you accidently didn't up dragging from garrison to your army when there was space in the unit.
Another Kate Reading fan! Kate and Michael Kramer are my two favorite audiobook readers thanks to Sanderson. Hope you enjoy Mistborn! The first era trilogy is still some of my favorite work by Sanderson.
Art looks very gorgeous, but it somewhat blends too much with the UI that it somehow a detriment. Take that Retreat card, or the stats on the 5 minute mark. Everything look highly stylized that I was not able to immediately grasp the numeric information at a glance. It would be nice if they can solve this somehow without compromising how beautiful things look.
Gorgeous art and great voice acting. I wish there will be options to make the friends and foes more distinct. As it is now, it's very hard to distinguish who's friend and who's foe in the battles.
Thanks for sharing the game, but as feedback learn a bit of strategy! A unit with Global buff is worth a lot while it is not strong by itself, because that +2 is multiplied by 6 (a total of +12 attack around the table). Also, that big fight easily won happened because the knights dashed into the slow backline while their big guy was into your backline - using the charging card made all slow enemy units useless while your entire force was focused on the big guy in the middle. If this game has multiple playable factions and custom maps, it has potential to be as big as Heroes, might and magic, but with different player base.
You know, the auto-battler style would actually be well suited for a 'god game'. Wherein you're not actually in direct command, but as a god you can bless and curse. Maybe summon mythic units. Kind of an idea that just crossed my mind. I really want a good god game. :P
This looks really cool. I wonder if it’ll come to consoles? Also, “Jager” is pronounced, I assume, “yay-gurr” from the German “jäger” and ”jaeger.” Edit: oh it IS on console. Awesome.
Looks fun but lacks of details, like blood decals, permanent bodies and more battlefield details, the animations and units desing are nice. But, overall unpolished.
I'd play it on a mobile or a tablet, but I'll pass on pc. Plus I hate card games for some reason so it's a nope for me. XD I tried to take (Grogeous) from you Odd and RUclips comment found out a misspelling. Gorgeous though however, I tend to avoid all games that mention gods or holy beings. I don't wanna be dammed, with all due respect.
So this is worse version of free to play Art of Conquest without actual unit control during fights that looks like Heroes of Annihilated Empires but without proper city building. Okay...
The art director of this game needs a hug and well done.
Agreed! The art style is gorgeous. I love all the cards you have also have unique designs. Honestly everything looks amazing.
It deserves the title "art"
I'm a bit in awe of the graphical style.
I'm sure they'd be happier with a raise.
Sweet Jesus, yes
Very reminiscent of Jim Fitzpatrick. He does beautiful celtic-inspired art.
The art style in Art Nouveau, but instead of nature, they've taken a very military design. Its amazing.
Thank you for the information.
looks like banner saga
The art is SOOOO good in this game. Just wow.
Thank you!
So I looked it up since I'm also familiar with Kate Reading (the va for Mistborn) and this voice actor is actually Ashleigh Haddad.

Milo Manara is a more recent example of the style if you're a fan - fair warning some of his work is erotic.
The female voice actor in the start and as Lorelai is: Ashleigh Haddad (from game developer diary nb. 7)
is that a name we should know? what are her major roles?
@@starjadiancloneinvestigato1772 Corporal Hunslet (Aliens: Dark Descent)
Thanks for sharing! We love the voice acting she did for our game!
I thought that voice is the same as the one that covers Ada Wong. But I don't even know who covers her voice haha...
The artist that this style is probably based is is Alphonse Mucha. he has some FANTASTIC pieces.
The game’s art style is inspired from artists such as Alphonse Mucha, from the Art Nouveau movement.
And the art is indeed GROGEOUS! 😁
The male narrator sounds like Peter Marinker, the voice actor of Kaathe/Frampt from Dark Souls 1
OMG so many good games lately played by you. I know you can't make a series of all but please consider making full series of the games you enjoyed:)
I’d say the genre would be “Heroes of Might and Magic -like” if anything
Dominions or MoM more like it. With art like the Witcher game…
The male narrator also narrated Anno 1404
Honestly I really like the art style here and the script and environment reinforce it. They have made a good selection of materials that work together.
It's called art nouveau. Very well realised, too.
This game looks neat! Thanks for playing 💜
I get a Heroes of Might and Magic vibe, and I LOVE IT!
oh i am not the only one think like that huh..

This game's art is amazing. Wow.
Wishlisted it.
I've seen this before, one of the most beautiful games I ever saw. Had performance issues though.
Just started watching, already digging the German names
The style has a lot in common with the art nouveau movement. Prooably inspired heavily by it.
That and a lot of other contemporary artists.
This has so much promise.
That's beautiful art. The Mistborn and Stormlight series by Sanderson are awesome. I've enjoyed them via Audible.
grogeous my dude
Grogeous Odd caught in 4K
and the game looks good too
Looks very promising. Thanks for the introduction.
Maybe the lance of tannavs (spelling?) should be equipped in the reserves slot, as it looks like a loot wagon (somewhat)

Looks like it will be a lot of fun.
Brandon Sanderson is the GOAT
Finally. A game i might actually buy!
I will totally forget to play the game while admiring the artwork. Wish there were DnD games with this kind of artwork.
Y'know, to me, I'm pretty sure the voice actress is Ingrid in Fire Emblem: Three Houses.
the game is now on kickstarter :)
I just finished the mistborn books, they are great!
Art reminds me a lot of Banner Saga. Looks wonderful.
This seems kind of similar to what the magic the gathering rts hybrid was trying to do, but this seems much more smoothly implemented.
The 2D art is a true delight, the cloud effect however makes me sad..
How is it a guy that plays games with half a million subscribers and I've never heard of him. That's just crazy.
hi
Mistborn IS AWESOME!
How have I just discovered this game? the art style looks fantastic. Definitely keeping an eye on this one
Art of this game is so great!
This game appears to play like the App Game Mini Warriors. Sick
Played the demo and it was really a great time. The art is amazing. Top of wishlist game.
Wishlisted
OMG the ANNO 1404 Narrator!!!
oh god stormlight archive is my fav series. u know what to do next HEHE
This is dope.. I like it....💯
I'm halfway through the video but! Hero level cap is 3? That seems pretty low unless there's a mechanic that I have not seen yet.
omg the artstyle is soooo good!
This looks really cool. I wonder if it’ll come to consoles?
Also, “Jager” is pronounced, I assume, “yay-gurr” from the German “jäger” and ”jaeger.”
Edit: oh it IS on console. Awesome.
Lovely art style indeed also great voice acting 🎭 😊
the art reminds me of the boardgame Inis, really nice
YES
Voice actor reminded me of Ashley Burch
Hey would love to see another Xcom 2 modded series, just finished the 2022 playlist, thought it was great
Thx for the video!
probably going to buy this game just off of the first impressions Im having from this video
The voice actor sounds a bit like it could be the person who did Cortana in the original HALO. I forget her name.🤔
Well this has heroes of might and magic vibes.
Looks interesting.
Could be wrong, but the male narrator sounds a lot like the one from Witcher 3
Unrelated, but mentioning Sanderson means I MUST comment. Have you read or listened to Stormlight?
this looks amazing, like a more detailed banner saga vibe, I'll pick up a acoy
You had me at kingdom management
Looks promising
Looks like a more casual, more polished, Dominion 6
Unwinnable battles suck. Only acceptable if it matters how much/fast you lose.
The narrator is the same guy as in Knights of Honor.
Could that artifact be put in your Reserves?
The male voice over is the same one as the campaign for Anno 1404 I think
Can you slow down the battle speed in the game?
Duddddde look at this game....amazing
I like this. Thank you
Cortana? For voice actress?
Well color me intrigued this game looks interesting.
Prettier hero hour
Thats the Anno 1404 narrator right?
Sounds like the VA from control
isn't the narrator the guy from Anno series?
Looks fun but lacks of details, like blood decals, permanent bodies and more battlefield details, the animations and units desing are nice. But, overall unpolished.
The silence, huh?🌚
You had me at auto battling, but I hope it doesn't disappoint on that front because it's the only one I care about
She sounds like Cortana
Wish you could play this on Mac or Xbox
JRPG presentation?
the whole teleport your whole army into one spot shit is dumb to me, immersion breaking even.
Is it cortana?
Bob Hope?
thos voices are the same at anno 1800
like mini total war eh...
The auto battle seems to easy, are there more difficult missions? You are claiming towns like nobody's business
That’s a long title
I'd play it on a mobile or a tablet, but I'll pass on pc. Plus I hate card games for some reason so it's a nope for me. XD I tried to take (Grogeous) from you Odd and RUclips comment found out a misspelling. Gorgeous though however, I tend to avoid all games that mention gods or holy beings. I don't wanna be dammed, with all due respect.
Grogeous?
Not for me.
So this is worse version of free to play Art of Conquest without actual unit control during fights that looks like Heroes of Annihilated Empires but without proper city building. Okay...
This is basically Total War Warhammer but with added cards for some reason
Lol no. TWW has milisim and sooooo many battle conditionals
Not even close
