    I have wanted to make some blueberry syrup, but the processing seemed a bit of a challenge, but watching you....lets me know I can DO it too!!!! Great great video. Thanks so much.

      Thank you, Starr. I'm so glad this video helps. Learning to extract the juice is the base of syrups. Once you understand that the sky's the limit. I made blueberry butter from the pulp so nothing gets wasted. Please share with us what juice you extract first. Looking forward to hear your success story with fruit syrups. Thank you for tuning into my world and commenting. Hugs, Lisa

      Thank you for the support. I actually made a blueberry/raspberry vinaigrette dressing last night. My hubs doesn't normally eat salads or anything vingery but I looked over and he had a spoon eating my dressing. lol

    wish i could have seen the consistency of syrup when done. my hubby made some and it is watery consistency, not like syrup at all. thanks for wonderful video

    • @LisasWorld100
      @LisasWorld100  7 лет назад +1

      I tend to let my syrup get really thick. You can always water it down if it's too thick by adding a touch of water and heating it up. Nothing better than warm fruity syrup. I have a video on canning blackberry jam which shows the consistency for syrup. I do the spoon test which tells me when it's ready. Hope this helps. ruclips.net/video/1Vwx4iycsxo/видео.html Thanks for stopping by. Lisa

    Do you have to use the cheese cloth? I want the chunks of blueberries in my syrup.

    • @LisasWorld100
      @LisasWorld100  7 лет назад

      No, if you prefer the berries and seeds just make sure you use very ripe berries. Those still with red will be bitter. Thanks for stopping by. Lisa

    Looks delicious! Can I just ask, the bottled lemon juice - is it concentrated Lemon juice please? Kind regards, Sooz x

    • @LisasWorld100
      @LisasWorld100  7 лет назад +1

      Yes, I use concentrated lemon juice when canning. It's the only lemon juice with an acidity level I can rely on. Thanks for stopping by Sooz. Lisa

    • @Sooz-gh7fb
      @Sooz-gh7fb 7 лет назад +1

      Aw thank you so much. I didn't know if the concentrated bottled juice would be too strong..if it works for canning, I'll be sure to buy some :).
      PS, You're very good in your videos - I wonder if you have a teaching background?! Kind regards, Sooz x

      I taught corrective hair color for Redken for 2 years but not a teacher in a school. My heart is for teaching people how to be more self sufficient by growing and preparing healthy foods for their family. We never know what will happen tomorrow where we might need to rely on our own gardens to survive and I hope people are educated enough to be able to do it safely if we don't have computers to rely on. Even a truckers strike could cause the stores to have empty shelves. Look at Venezuela. That's enough to hopefully make some people understand the importance of knowing how to preserve foods.

      julie selden sounds like it was heated a bit longer. You can add a tad of water and heat it to help make it pourable. Thanks for watching.

      Didn’t you hear she wants the pulp to make blueberry butter so she would need to do this process however I prefer juicing bags rather then cheese clothes
