Unfortunately, I’m thinking more and more that the true wishes of the people who vote aren’t happening. It takes all of 30 seconds to give Illinois to Democrats on election night. 🤔 but a month when it comes to swing states? Please. If the truth be known, I’d bet Illinois really isn’t the color it is. Just my opinion.
Because Chicago holds the rest of Illinois by its corrupt vote. Illinois elections have been rigged against certain parties for almost as long as it has been a state.

Moved from Chicago to Florida just over a year ago…best decision of my life. Zero state income tax, almost no crime, much friendlier people, great weather, awesome public schools, construction projects don’t take 10 years to complete, and 1/5th of the property tax. I’m never living in a blue city or state EVER again.

If you knew how that process worked, he doesn't have the power to even do so. He is pro-life personally, and that isn't a bad thing. As far as the minimum wage, I think you need to dig into how this works. It is sort of the opposite of how you're thinking. The rate of minimum wage going up, it makes it too hard for small businesses to keep a staff paid. Bailey's thinking is correct. We need to lower taxes and then income doesn't need to be at the insane minimum required of living right now. A high minimum wage is just a backdoor way for government to take more and to have the population okay with it.
That is not true Southern and Central Illinois take more money out of taxes for social services then Northern Illinois look it up check your numbers they even said it in the debate

I do think it needs to be amended and I think JB said he wanted to do just that. It's not what some people are making it out to be. No one will be released from prison come JAN 1 if it passes! It's not about violent criminals going free. It's about if two people are charged with the same minor crime and one has money to bail out and the other doesn't - it's not fair because of privilege that one can go home and wait for a trial date and the other with no money has to sit in jail and wait for the backlogged courts to get them a court date.

I guess I need to have my brain checked - already voted for JB. I love that he has paid off all those long time bills the previous Republican Governors couldn't pay and brought states credit rating up. Also that he tried to keep our state safe during a pandemic that was new to us all, froze grocery and gas taxes, gave tax rebates! Failure? I think not!

I’ve lived in IL 66 years. My children (3) live in FL. I’m moving to FL. Wonderfull people as I have been going to FL for 22 yrs. Every year it gets better. Wonderful people most all get along. Met all kinds of people all have the same beliefs, like me. Wrongs is everywhere, good is everywhere! But Fl I see very little wrong compared to IL. They stand up for what is right! I love ❤️that.

So glad to have the best governor who won the Election with 60% of the votes and who stands up to what's right and for our freedoms and rights.
This "debate" is unwatchable. Pritzker lies repeatedly, moderators admonishing Bailey, Bailey giving weak answers or skirting the question. There's too much attention given to abortion and bLaCk LiVeS mAtTer, both issues which Bailey should be able to easily address, but he fumbles through it. The crime issue, sex ed to children, and taxes...not sure which one ranks higher...should be HAMMERED home by Bailey, and it's just not. Bailey's going to get my vote, but it sure as h_ll won't be based on his "debate" performances.

The Pandemic makes Pritzker much harder to Judge IMO. What he did accomplish was getting rid of the Pensions to current Illinois Employees which is now more in line with Corporate America. Also the way the Vaccines in this State were rolled out was much better than ANY Red State I know ! So Kudos to believing in science & knowledge for Pritzker !
First of all it's Pritzker and he has done so much for Illinois in the last four years. Paying our bills and getting this state back to a good credit rating. Before he took office it was horrific! I am hoping he can give us four more years of improvement!

Honestly I plan on voting for Bailey, but only because I've already seen what a terrible job Prickster has done. I will however say that this debate was terrible. From the moderator to both Prickster and Bailey. Bailey needs to do a better job debating and actually coming up with some decent answers to show he actually has a plan.
