Very methodical. I like that machined piece you used to simplify the pouring. No mess. Great video.

I usually run my EU2000i for 3 minutes, let it sit one minute, then change the oil. Warming it up helps lower the viscosity of the oil making an easier pour especially during winter months. 73 OM

Excellent advice! I had been running the generator for a couple of days including right up to making the video ... totally did not think about mentioning that warm oil is going to pour easier. Thank you for watching! 73 👊

Hubby loves these generators. When camping, they are super quiet compared to some I've heard.

Hi! Great video - had no idea about the machined filler spouts! Even though the Ebay links are all expired, I found one on Amazon.
I use that Royal Purple 10W-30 in mine now, and it seems to work great. ProjectFarm did some oil reviews not too long ago that included Royal Purple, and another oil tested even better, so I'll probably go with that one next time.
Our power was out for over 32 hours the past two days, and the EU2000i, as usual, did FANTASTIC!
The hourly meter is a great idea. I'll see if I can find one other than Ebay since the link is gone. Thanks again for the great video!

Nice and tidy, I like that. I have an old beat up 9 inch by 9 inch cake pan I use to catch oil out of both my generator and lawn mower.

Love the idea of a 9x9 cake pan! Will have to keep my eyes peeled for one at a garage sale. Metal would be better in the long than my little plastic tray. Thanks for watching!

Perfect timing for this. I need to change the oil in my Honda before heading out to Quartzfest next month. Are you coming? I think you sold your trailer. I found a plastic drain tub on Amazon for $7.99.

Randy thanks for watching! Quartzfest is on my bucket list for sure. We did sell our trailer but will be replacing it soon. I would love a link for the plastic drain tub you found on Amazon ... would be great to add to the description box for viewers to consider. 73 / KF7ETX

I like the "doctor" tip. I have the Yamaha 2000 set and I bet the steps are about the same. I'll take a look at finding an adapter as well. I hate cleaning up oil messes.

A much easier way to put the oil back in is to buy a size 28/400 Yorker cap with a long sleeve and screw it onto your Honda 10W30 bottle. You can then cut the cap to the desired flow rate. Then you won't need a funnel.

    Outstanding.
We have also thought about that same Honda generator for emergencies. My wife and I are sold on it, but I would really like Honda to make a diesel version.
By the way, would you tell us something about your watch sometimes?
    Thanks for sharing.

Julian it is always an honor to see you in the comments. I wish Honda would make a diesel version as well ... huge fan of diesel power 👍Many thanks for watching. I greatly enjoy your channel and appreciate all you do for the community. I get a lot of questions about my watch ... perhaps time to do a video! Be safe my friend. 73 / KF7ETX

I doubt Honda would make a diesel generator since they are all about the quiet. Yanmar makes them, though. www.yanmar.com/global/powerproducts/products/diesel-gas_generators/
