I empathize with the preacher at 10:06 a great deal. Its not a specialist killing weapon. It can, ofcourse, but it doesnt seem to be designed as such. Thats ok, but the question is should it. Personally for me, no. Its a Howitzer for your and your team that does damage and cc equally. A good voidstriker will be blasting the thickest clumps and knocking them down and setting everything on fire, for me anwyay, as a Vet (gun psyker off), this is incredibly useful and much more dps and outside shout/nades I have no cc. Voidstriker EVERYTHING has cc. I use Covering Fire on EVERY build so when i see a voidstriker knock stuff down near to them and a teammate, i can quickly take out the mobs on floor for a laod of CF buffs. If hes blasting the distance and dodging melee i may have other more expedient things to do than help him. I already take specialists heads off instantly as I enjoy playing 'finesse weapons' like iag, lasgun, etc. This buys more time to aim (lol...) and get back to the psyker to try peel trash, regroup etc. Depends how the team dynamic is really which for me is the half the replayability and beauty of dt as a attention grabber. The other half is 24/7 Warp Traveller blasting but hey, thats me, sometimes I have fun/'troll' whatever the receiver deems... Its a team game, other classes builds and weapons will do spcial killing easier. S oits only normal that a charge timer weapons feels this. Unfortunately based off player skill 9awareness), but you get an idea based on their build i nlobby. So if you're lobby is slower, void strike wil lbe better. If you are expecting a higher dps/awareness lobby, it could be an idea to swap to comething more conducive. I personally use all 5 loadout presets to try and get an ammo aura and shout in to a team that needs it, but equally if it exists I am free to have fun on another build maybe Weapons Specialist. thats how i play and how I enjoy to play. So: A bolter wil lbe able to take a lot of specials/elites out relatively quickly with little effort, but will have lower uptime and mobility. Finesse weapons have high uptime and relative mobility to do their job, so to speak i know thats a touchy line for some but describes what im trying to convey, so a Vet playing like this will be constantly trying to melee to keep pressure down while taking out specials/elites as a priority whenever he hears them. Thats what the kit does. A Void strike, to me again subjective, would be hanging back safer than the vet, with CONSTANT uptime, blasting the clumps to give cc and time, or shelling anything thats been kd by teammates. You can always swap for a dagger lunge to reposition quell and start blasting. My lasgun wil lkill faster than your void. Your void will be more reliable than my Frag nades at creating dmg and space, for example. But My frags wil lscreenwipe when stacked after 3 mins, youre constant dmg/cc will be more relaible for teammates. It balances out quite nicely, but obviously not i ngame and thats where playstyle motivations coem in. Most meta builds play the same in my experience and people dont play to derive satisfactions that tend to lie outside the meta playstyle right now. thx for vid
decent crow control, looks like damage is okish and it ignores targets armor, quite slow in it rechearge but if you just tap the special at least you get the cc, the area looks good on paper but you have to hit enemies in very especific lines, so the assail does quite good againts hordes the job of the voidstrike is just to kill specials? would you substitute it for a diferent staff that is more fast and equally good againts them? the talents are quite focused in crit, could be a good option electrokinetic too?
do you get crashes when using the weapon customization mod? i got the latest versions of the mod and dependencies from the mod's discord but still crash a nice amount of time
Can’t tell if sarcasm or teammates are just bad? But aren’t you max damage/kills pretty much this whole game? Voidstrike has always felt fairly solid to me.
It's not sarcasm. It's very slow to charge and this game I could barely kill any specials because teammates were on point. It's just clunky to play now for the mediocre damage. If horde are not coming at you in a straight line it feels really bad. Speaking from my own fast pace playstyle and aggressive approach anyway.
I'm working on pairing it with scrier's gaze. All my recent stress tests ended up being not so good, as it's very hard to keep high stacks and dodging properly at the same time
I've seen a few people posting about gazer void but I feel like horde clear would be much slower than creeping flames. Not a fan of gazer unless I'm playing fast high finesse weapons like vraks iag or recon lasgun.
I would recommend against it. Scriers make you a potential liability for a team, when you eventually explode because you mistimed the safety timer by half a second.
@Shajirr_ in multiple days of testing, I blew myself only 2 times. My biggest issue with this build is the lack of mobility. Like, voidstrike has a pretty fkin long charge time. To keep high SG uptime you need to constantly spam. However when you have to make big movements to make yourself safe, most probably you will lose SG. My previous voidstrike build did not have such constraints, so I was freely repositioning myself to safety and continued shooting. Now, every second I'm not blasting is a big loss of damage. I'm struggling to deal with it as I'm being constantly overrun with mfs while chasing the damage.
Burga can still do astronomical level of horde clear even if teammates are decent, enable you to get high damage number still. On rare occasions I play with people surge is the best by far at staying ahead of the team.
@AgentChaosMeme well u use macros aswell that literaly increase dps 2x3x times of non macros user so its not acurate comparison and judgment of weapons
@@U.U-lw4eeyou can actually do it faster without a macro, as the speed you're allowed to do it varies depending on a number of factors, so have to set your macro to the lowest common denominator. Adding a quell bind(multibind mod, mouse software, etc) or rebinding it somewhere more comfortable than R for spamming after left click makes it super easy and doesn't take much practice at all to master compared to your average video game animation cancel tech. Like, you should try Lucas's DJCZ in SSBU. Took me months to get a consistent 10 in a row. Quell cancel took me two days to perfect.

For surge staff you would go left hand side and warp charges to spam creeping flames more. It already has innate crit chance.
Is that staff skin from commodore vestures, or is it modded?

same can be said literaly about all other staffs aswell lol, purgatuss only good in close range
