      Amen to that. I think they use a butt-load of 992 buses to be able to have more paychecks of MTA drivers to tax TF out of. One trolley driver with 3 cars of 40 riders is too efficient for the already over-staffed MTA.

      That airport needs to move, maybe somewehere in East County! Its literally the busiest single runway airport in the world, and has no more space to expand.

    • @SirXenaul

      @@flipsolo It is not going to happen. They tried many times, Palomar being obvious choice, instead they just expanded it to maximum. San Diego will not see airport moving in observable future even though it is single busiest single runway airport in the country.

      Ignorant comment by someone who obviously does not travel on the MTA trolley system and notice all the transit cops, pass verification agents and plentiful swipe and ride pass activation stations on every platform.

  • @dustup2249
    @dustup2249 5 месяцев назад

    Oy! I noticed it was day time hours and the trolley was not only fairly seamless, it was not being utilized to even 25% capacity.
    If there's "congestion", it means there are too many trollies in service and therefor drivers and heavy-handed transit cops who always travel in pairs so that there seems to be more MTA employees aboard than riders at times like what is evident on this report.
    No wonder MTA keeps raising fares, screwing the elderly by raising minimum age for senior rider rates and harassing riders with imposing "where's your pass?" stop & frisk by transit cops of the traveling public while you are standing while the trolley is moving, forcing you to let go of the rail to produce your tribute to the MTA gangsters.
    The fact that each platform has transit cops that can assure full pass compliance means that the MTA intentionally traps homeless people trying to ride free onto a moving trolley with locked doors where the offender is left with no choice but to accept MTA extortion fines to drive the bloated over-staffed budget.

      It costs them basically nothing to do this (they just have to make new signs for the copper line) and it will save mts a lot of money. MTS wants to increase green line frequency but they can't do that if it's running on a single tracked portion. Honestly they should have just double tracked the entire line when they first built it and gotten it right the first time, but that's what happens when you build tracks in the middle of the street I guess.
