So you need a trailer? At some point you are just getting the worst of both worlds. As a boat there’s no space or stability and as a kayak there’s no portability. At that price point I do not see them selling

I wonder where these are made, the rep says they have a warehouse in Houston, I'm assuming they are imported from???? The rep also said the engine was a Yamaha, but the website in the FAQ dodges the question of who makes it and merely says serviceable by most PWC, motorcycle or small engine service.

I had 2019 version here in Alaska. I caught air over some wakes and never came close to flipping. Very stable. 2019 version tracked horrible and had cavitation issues though. I had many oil leaks, electrical problems, and impeller seized in housing. I was stranded twice in old model. Support was poor, parts took weeks to get. Speed quotes are accurate. I got 25+.
They went from a closed-loop cooling system to an open for 2020 model. They also changed the bottom of the hull, so looks to me like it should track a lot better. I believe they upgraded the gauges, which were prone to fogging. Electrical parts are still China made, and I have my doubts about those. Wire gauge was very thin in 2019 version. I had a relay and solenoid valve go out after 10 hours. Inexpensive to replace, but that's not many hours to die.
The 2019 model had a closed-loop system with dozens of hoses going through a heat exchanger. The clamps were lightweight and were prone to leaking. They've eliminated the heat exchanger and have gone to an open-loop system, which is pretty much how every outboard works. It uses river or lake water to cool, not anti-freeze. Heat exchanger still used river water, but it doesn't circulate through the engine. Will have to flush every time in salt water.
Sea-Doo is one company that still uses a closed-loop system, but most other jet skis use open, and of course just about every outboard made uses open-loop cooling system. Simple is probably better, but open for debate.
Carburetor is Japanese made by Mikuni. Good quality there. It uses a cable system for steering and joystick, simple and reliable. Fuel injection would have been even better, but more complicated. Some parts of the boat are decent, but other parts are really substandard. I'd be curious to see the 2020 version and what changed exactly. I spoke to U.S. plant and they don't seem to have a clue about the details of the boat. Even the specs on their own site are incorrect! Good luck Aquanami! You're going to have to do a lot more work to impress the U.S. consumer.
