Oh, Dena. Such a range if emotions in this video. I'm so frustrated right along with you about the border trouble. Gosh, I wished I lived near you. I'd surely frog it right out. And then, the news of Kaylie and her Mom being in the same restaurant. Such a blessing that you're still going to be able to spend some time with her. So joyful!
Patti, yes indeed. There was a range of emotions but I guess that was just my life that week. I have frogged Let Love Reign now, so I am feeling better about that now. Hope you have a wonderful week of stitching! Dena
Hello Dena, I felt your frustration at the start of your video but as it went on it became clear that your stitching life is full of positives which far outweigh the disappointment at having to go back on your project. It made you more aware of how fabulous it is to have a friend to stitch with and that Glo and you have a great way of working together. Also you are sharing your love of stitches with someone who wants to learn and that is brilliant and fun. I was very touched by your concern for fellow stitchers watching Flosstube and that you pray for them in their troubles. Congratulations on your finishes and your upcoming plans. Thank you for the reminder about May - you have got me thinking about what would I like to do. Cocoa and Fred are so cute at the end of the video. Happy stitching as always, Teresa 🪡🧵♥
Teresa, isn't it funny how my stitching journey can mirror life? We have disappointments in life that hit us hard sometimes, but in perspective, life is so full of fun, family, faith, fellowship, fellow stitchers, etc. that the positives far outweigh the negatives that occur. I am so delighted that my positives were obvious in the video to you. That makes me very happy. Cocoa sends her love. Dena
Another great "chat" and I must say that I honestly felt your pain listening to you describe your huge error and needing to do a lot of frogging. I'm so glad that you picked right back up the next day and continued stitching... one stitch at a time. Thank you for being such a kindhearted person. It takes very little effort to think of others and you do make that apparent. No big plans for May other than I'm going to do a designer focus month with several club pieces I've received from Scattered Seed Samplers. Enjoy your quiet stitching time! Until the next "chat", happy stitching to you too!
Karla, so happy to see you stopped by to visit. With my WIPGO boards, I will have four new starts in May (two for May Mondays and 2 for WIPGO). It will be a busy month! Dena
I can feel the pain of frogging those stitches... Its the same with with the piece i'm working on. Once I knew I had to frog, i thought "well after you're fixed you are going on time out"
Pauline, usually I correct my mistakes before I put something away as you said you did. However, that's when I knew I was really disappointed, when I decided I couldn't even face the frogging at that moment to fix the mistake. But I will hopefully this week. Dena
I remember once I stitched a piece with the wrong orientation, which I didn't notice because I use a hoop. Took it out, frogged it and started over. I then proceeded to do the exact same thing, wrong again on 40 count. After that I re-started on a different linen. It's nice of you to pray for people having a rough time. We had a neighbor couple that I didn't get along with, the husband was very ornery. His wife sided with him. But I felt sorry for her, she seemed to have a tough life. Even though they didn't like me, I did silently pray that her life would get better. They moved but a few years later I saw that she had a better job and seemed a lot happier. I was very glad for her.
I admire your patience to restart your project twice until you could get it in the right orientation. Changing fabric was probably a really good thing. Happy Stitching to you. Dena
I so enjoyed your video - so sorry about the frogs getting out ! So glad your friend assisted you in getting your stitching bug back quickly - have a great day stitching.
Linda, so happy you enjoyed the video. That frog has been chased out of here and I hope he is too scared to return for awhile. LOL. I do have my stitching bug back full force, so that is fabulous. Hope you are having a great month of stitching. Dena
So good to see you Dena - you are such a kind and thoughtful person. Sorry about your miscount but pleased to see you just moved on and stitched up a storm! Beautiful WIPs and I loved your little finish. I am still trying to decide what to do in May. I really don’t want any more new starts but would like to focus on something - perhaps!! Happy stitching and hope you had a great couple of days with JT.
Had a great time, Susan, with JT and enjoyed the stitching for 24HOCS Marathon. I did stitch 19 hours over the weekend. Not 24, but a good effort. Dena
Dena, I’m so happy your friend was able to bring your stitchy bug back! Spending all that time stitching only to have to frog it all out is so frustrating! I would have to put it in time out also 😂. But, like you said, so many people are dealing with very hard situations. I guess that helps put misplaced stitches in perspective. I am a retired nurse and at the beginning of my career I worked with cancer patients, most of whom were very ill. Caring for them was such a gift to me because it totally put life in perspective. So what if I was stuck in a traffic jam or picked the slowest line in the grocery store? It would all be forgotten about in a couple hours and life would go on. All your projects are beautiful, as usual and I love watching your videos and seeing what you’ve been up to. Happy stitching and may the frog find a new home 💕
Debbie, thank you for your understanding and your perspective. I think your experiences working with those cancer patients was a blessing for you that helped shape your positive outlook. I tell you, I packed that frog's bags for him to leave. LOL. Dena
I am so sorry that you have to back out all that stitching. It's a bummer for sure. I have a piece I am working on and yesterday realized I have to back out a lot of stitching, dang. Miss Christmas is so pretty and for my 2 cents I would frame Stitching it is so cute. My babies won't eat by their selves either they are spoiled and I love them to pieces. Enjoy your stitching and thank you for sharing.
Michele, I am so sorry to hear you have to back out some stitching as well. Oh thank you for the encouragement to frame When I Think of Stitching. Cocoa ate well this morning because I put a little bit of egg in her breakfast. Shhhhh, don't tell anyone. LOL. Dena
Oh my on that border! That is why I never venture far from my spot I'm working on. Letting all the parts be my checkpoint so I don't get too far off. Multi page projects can really throw me off, too. I was working a full coverage and thought I'd venture the thread across the page. Somehow my eye caught the page number and I had skipped a page! Only about 10 stitches, but so glad I caught it. I also use a Frixion colored pen to mark the pattern because on a massive mistake like yours an iron will remove all the marks where things are wrong. I, too, depend on my Flosstube friends to keep me company. Especially when I am trapped at home like last week. Thought it was the flu, but it was C. Ugh. As you see, it took a few days to watch you. Doing fine now. Enjoy your puppy!
Chandra, I usually stay very close to my stitching as well for counting purposes. I was being so careful all the way around, but the error had already been made. It is frogged now and ready for a future stitching session again. Hope you are fully recovered from "C" and that you are back to normal. Happy Stitching. Dena
Kay, well it happens to us all at one time or another. I have a plan to frog those stitches very soon so it is ready to go again the next time I get to stitch on it. Dena
Dena my heart goes out to you. I've been there and done that. My first call for wipgo this year I got it all done and found out I was off by one line. I counted the goal and put it in time out. Guess what! It got called again in March. I reluctantly pulled it out and frogged it and restitched it plus the new goal. It was just the motivation I needed.
Melissa, it was a blessing that it was called again and that gave you the motivation to pick it up again. Mine is only on WIPGO the one time so I won't have that for me, but I will get the motivation soon I am sure. Dena
Hi Dena, thank you for your prayers, you are such a caring person. Dena in your episode 246 you post a picture of your family and it's so beautiful, your son looks amazing, he is doing very well. What a wonderful happy family. 💝 Congrats on your FFO and FO they are gorgeous. You have great progress on Kringles, I love that piece a lot. Well my friend have a great weekend and enjoy your family and your stitching, big hug to Coco. 🦮
Francine, thank you so much for the kind words regarding my family. We are very blessed. My son came to visit me for the weekend this weekend because my hubby (his dad) is hiking on the Appalachian Trail. However, due to car troubles of his hiking buddy, they had to cut their hike short and my hubby came home last night. Our son is staying today to go hiking with his Dad and Cocoa so I am thrilled for all of them to get to share that together. (I will stitch of course!). Dena
Hi Dena. Everyone makes mistakes like yours & it does take the wind out of our sail. But look what happened only a few days later. You have the opportunity to teach and mentor a new young stitcher. How fabulous! That young girl couldn’t have found a more perfect teacher. Your soft kind spirit calms me with each of your videos & your stitching is BEAUTIFUL. Thanks for sharing.
Renae, thank you for such lovely comments. You made me feel very happy reminding me about running into Kaylee and the hope that she and I can continue her stitching journey. Dena
Great video as always, wow you’re really moving on Kringles! I would put my project in time out as well that’s heartbreaking to find such an error. Glad you didn’t let your stitch bug escape! Great job on your finish. Have a great week!
Just watched your most recent video yesterday and was so happy for you to have your project ready for your daughter to backstitch it for you. What a great deal that is!!! Happy Stitching. Dena
Bummer on the missed stitches. I use scroll bars for all my larger projects. Nice WIPs, Christmas Finish, very cute! Nice job on the "Stitching" one with adjustments, I'd frame it. Bell Pull looks great! I'm doing mostly Patriotic designs for May.
That is a great idea for patriotic stitching in May. I have ordered a large roll a frame for my Let Love Reign so I will hopefully have it in a few months. Dena
So sorry about your missing out the one part of the loop! I would also feel sick, better to leave it and when you are in the mood for pulling it out. I love your bell pull, its looking gorgeous! Very pleased that you met up with the little girl again and explained what happened!!! I am working on Jacobs SAL 2022, I bought the whole thing so I could work on it continously and stop when I wanted too. The triangles nearly drove me crazy. Anyway keep stitching ! xx
Michelle, I am happy to report that I did frog Let Love Reign so it is ready for the redo. Hope you are having a wonderful time with Jacobs SAL, 2022. Happy Stitching to you. Dena
Hi Dena, did you hear me gasp out loud when you held up that border? It woke my cat! You looked so disappointed - we love our stitching so much and it's so disheartening when it turns on us. I'm in the UK but I promise if I lived near you, I would've run over and frogged it for you. I find its not just the wasted hours stitching it that drives me crazy, it's also knowing you can't stitch when you're frogging. On to happier things, i feel the photo on the Kringles project does not do it justice. Your stitching looks incredible - the colours, the textures, and something about the crisp brickwork setting off all that Christmasness (is that a word?!) - its stunning. So, I suppose we do have to risk the frog in order to experience the complete joy of our stitching. Hopefully he won't be visiting you again this week (tho please don't direct him over here!). Lots love, Claire
Claire, thank you so very much for totally understanding the level of disappointment I felt when I discovered my counting error. I have frogged it now! Speaking of Kringles, I am "laying brick" as they say. Working on the brick and mortor for the second story. I would love to finish the brick at least around the first room so that when I stitch the room in May, it will be easy to stitch the banner portion underneath it as well. Happy Stitching. Dena
My heart hurt for you when you showed Let Love Reign and shared that you have to frog; I know how frustrating that had to have been when you found the mistake. I'm glad that you were able to quickly find your stitchy bug after that and find success in some of your other projects. Happy stitching! - TaMara
Hi Dena. Sorry you had that issue on Let Love Reign. I wanted to stitch on it this month as I know you we’re going to but don’t have time. Very nice FFO for the holiday season. You made great progress on all your pieces! Take care.
Cheryl, thanks so much for visiting and chatting. I am working to finish three prompts this week so I can take the time to frog Let Love Reign. I don't want to take away any stitching time from my prompts but I should be able to finish the three remaining ones this week. Dena
Dena, frog visits are such misery…that is why I tape enlarged copies of my patterns and use that for border stitching…it doesn’t help every time though…frog do pop up❗️and it does effect you stitching mojo…thanks for being a role model for your subscribers…congratulations on your Santa Pillow and the stitching pattern….FFO and FO…great job Dena…Cocoa is adorable…hope you had a good visit with your son…best wishes and happy stitching ❤❤
Loretta, I had a marvelous visit with my son and will probably post some awesome pictures next video of his food. I had a working copy of my pattern I was marking, but I hadn't taped it together. I will be doing that now. Dena
So happy to catch up with you. So sorry about your border that is so very frustrating. I am so glad you caught up with that young girl and have made plans to get together and stitch that's awesome. I go to stitching at our library every Friday most people that come are knitters but some have done tatting, crochet, and it is just nice to get together with other crafters. happy stitching Patty
Patty, this coming Saturday is our stitching day at the library! I am so excited. We are having a tutorial by one of our regulars. She will be teaching us how to make those little pop up ort containers from fabric and a canning jar lid and ring set. I can't wait to see how she does it. You are so right. It is such fun getting together with other crafters. Dena
Stych Addict I was so excited to see Kaylee and get to tell her mom about the crazy decision from the Library. At least she knows it wasn't our group to decide that. Dena
I hope you will make new copies of the pages you marked off the border. I think looking at those marked off stitches would be just a disheartening reminder of your boo-boo! But I know when you are ready to frog & start again you will do some happy stitching!
Hello Dena I feel so sad to see all the frogging you have to do .Personally I would start all over again with renewed vigour.Happy frogging I am thinking of you .
Neil, the fabric is so large I do not want to have to buy that much again to start over. The frogging is not the end of the world, it just feels like backwards progress. I am going to finish some prompts first, then I will work on it. I hope you are having a great month of stitching (and no frogging!). Dena
I understand how disheartening it is to make such a major mistake on a wip you are excited about doing. Time-out is a good idea. Give it a moment and then jump back in. Don't totally give up on it! It's a challenge you can overcome. We all do it! Hand and Foot is a game my hubs and I play with his brother and wife. It's a blast!!!! Your stitching is gorgeous and you just had a bad day. Keep on stitchin'!
Jan, thanks so much for your encouragement. I do not plan on giving up on the piece for sure. But I will let it lay just a little longer while I work on prompts. I want to keep moving in a positive direction for a few days. Dena
Oh Dena...we are all in mourning with you over that stitching!! I have just started Land That I Love by Teresa and I am just doing the border as I go mainly because I use q snaps and you are right, it takes a lot of checking and double checking. I had my surgery done and I have been disappointed because I can not tell a lot of difference in my vision. My dr tells me to give it time. I go back tomorrow for my one week check up. Hoping I will be released to side sleep again!! That has been the biggest headache for this old lady who rolls from side to side.:) Happy Stitching.
Arlene, so sorry to hear you haven't seen a big difference yet. I had a friend here who had the same experience but within two weeks, she was greatly improved. I pray the same for you. Dena
Oh my gosh, I could feel your pain and frustration through the screen! Even before you started speaking of Let Love Reign I was thinking that you weren't your usual self. I know - how weird, we are complete strangers! lol
PrincessKJo, you are very observant and picked up on my sadness. Thank you for your kindness. I am happy to report the frogging is done and now Let Love Reign is ready to pick back up next time and move forward. Dena
Oh my gosh. My heart sunk when you showed let love raine. I had tears in my eyes. Sending you a needed hug 🙇♀️ I think you should count the stitches you put in even though you have to take them back out. Your wips are so pretty. Your Mariella is beautiful. Take care. Enjoy your day.
Carolyn, I so appreciate your empathy for my frogging situation. I did count the stitches for my prompt. As of now, they are still there. Haven't been wanting to take the time to reverse stitch right now. Dena
Hi Dena, I’m so happy to see you again to see your stitching progress and even the stitching mistakes. When that happens it’s often time to take a break. I also had to frog a partial border yesterday. Your stitching on Kringles and your Autumn bell pull are so very nice. Keep on stitching 😊
Dena I love your WIP's and I love the finish on your Merry pillow so cute. Your Kringles is looking great. Dena I know the frustration you go through on Let love Reign. It does put you off your stitchy bug because i know I have been through that as well and have to take a break from it and work on something else. When there is a border I do that first cause then I know if it is done right (it can be a little boring but it doesn't bother me at all). I will be pulling out my project to start in May Monday called "In a Manger" by Stoney Creek. I am still thinking what I will be doing on the other starts I know I want to finish my Father Christmas gnome and the flag but I still haven't thought on the other two projects still looking. I always love seeing Coco with Fred they really enjoy each others company. My heart does go out to people that have health problems. I know it is part of life but I truly feel for these people. In the meantime Happy Stitching and be safe and kind. God bless Pat
Pat, I worked on laying brick yesterday on Kringles. I would love to get the brick portion done by month's end, but I do have three more prompts to meet this week first. And of course there is the frogging that must be done.....LOL. I have decided on my two new starts for May Mondays. I am starting a dog alphabet by JBW designs and another really small project, I think the name is In the Valley (but it is a tiny piece with cute decorative buttons. I should be able to finish both the week I start them which was the plan! Dena
Hi, Dena. So many lovely projects. Try to focus on them and all you accomplish rather than the frog hopping through. That said, I believe we’re both going to be at Stitching in the Wild in a few weeks. In one of my local stitching groups, we will help others in need of stitch removal, as it’s less painful to frog someone else’s stitching than your own. If you’d consider letting me lend a hand, I’d be glad to help address your frog in Fort Lauderdale.
Linda, if I haven't been able to face the frogging by the Stitching in the Wild, I will definitely take you up on your offer of assistance. You are so sweet! I am excited to get to see you in a few weeks! Dena
Hi Dena So many Beautiful Projects that you have been working on. Although I miss seeing the Nativity by TW. I am going to be buying the Fabric next month for Kringles. I cannot wait til I get this one started. Sorry that you have to Frog the one whole section on your one WIP - I know that is not fun at all. Just rip out a few stitches each day. Don’t try to do it all at once. Take Care & Happy Stitching ❤️🤗🙏🧵🪡🧵🐾🐶🐾❤️
Dena, you've made some fantastic progress and I was so upset for you about that frog, your attitude towards the piece is admirable and I know it won't be in time out for long! Autumn Bell Pull is stunning and I predict a finish soon! Loving the photos of Cocoa, especially when she was on the sofa giving the side-eye 😂 ❤
Glo, didn't Cocoa look like she was saying, I see you sneaking a picture of me....what are you thinking? LOL. I did get the Let Love Reign frogged so now it is ready for the next prompt next month. Happy Stitching! Dena
Oh Dena, I feel your pain. That was a good decision to put it in timeout. I was wondering if it would be easier to undo the beginning and just move it over, but then you would have to undo those beautiful flowers. I'm glad that you were able to stitch with Glo. Looking at the first three blocks on Kringles, gives me a great idea of how beautiful the finished piece will be. I'm loving it. Thank you for sharing all your WIPs with us. It's great to see Cocoa and Fred together again. For May, I'd like to finish Dog Lessons then pick up Tis the Season again. I'm determined to get it done for Christmas 2023.Hugs to Cocoa and Happy Stitching!
Kaylin, your plans sound great for May. I'm pulling for you to finish Tis the Season for this coming Christmas. I am working on bricks in Kringles tonight. Cocoa and Fred had a wonderful time and when I picked Cocoa up she nearly knocked me down she was so excited to see me. Melted my heart! Dena
Dena, I always enjoy your videos so much. You are such a sweet and kind person. And your stitching is also lovely. I am not doing anything special for May - except start a new stitching schedule. I just finished a HAED this week so that frees up a lot of space. I will have 3 new starts to celebrate, which will give me 15 total WIPs. My new schedule will allow me to stitch at least 4 days on each one every month. At least that is the plan. LOL. For May Day I will be stitching on Celtic Wheel which marks the Celtic seasons and special days. Beltane is on May 1.
emjay, really appreciate the kind remarks about my videos. Thank you so much for the compliment on my stitching. I think your plans for a Celtic May sound perfect. Happy Stitching! Dena
Dena so sorry for your piece you have to frog. Your stitching is beautiful. I love love the Santa ho ho ho pillow! Beautiful finish! Loved the pictures of Fred with his friends. That picture of Fred on the couch with his friend was so funny. Fred had the look of don’t you dare take my picture I’m not ready yet. 😂. He looked so mad 😂😂. Prayers are always appreciated!
Theresa, my dog Cocoa had such a wonderful time at her friend Fred's house. She does have that Don't take my picture I am not ready yet look. LOL. Well, I did frog the Let Love Reign so it is ready for the next time it is stitched on for a prompt. I plan on using it if at all possible in my very next challenge or acrostic to make me get back to it. Dena
@@halfstitchcrossstitch2456. Glad you got that frog out of the way you would probably keep thinking about it if you didn’t. It’ll be beautiful when it’s done. Fred is so cute and what a joy he must be. Enjoy the stitching journey .
Great stitches! I do hope you revive Let Love Reign! I am looking forward to seeing you stitch that beautiful piece. “Reign” reminds me to start something for the Coronation, maybe from Crowns and Shields. I hope you had a great dinner with your son.
We had a wonderful dinner! And I will absolutely bring Let Love Reign back out to play in the near future. I have some prompts I want to hit first. Dena
Beautiful finish. And I totally understand why you packed your other wip in the closet. But maybe you can frogged out the other side. Not the big line, but the smaller line. Happy stitching!
Nina, thank you for the compliment on my finish. I did pick up Let Love Reign and frog it! Now it will be ready the next time I use it for a prompt. Dena
Oh my gosh sweet lady, you're so very gracious about your mistake. It's one I fear we have all made, many times for myself. If you want, you could send this piece to me and I would be more than happy to remove those stitches as I feel like I've become a pro in this action and I would send it back to your right away. Don't beat yourself up over this - we are human and we are all able to make mistakes. You're a beautiful cross stitcher. Let me know, and I would be more than happy to help you out. I really the community you have helped to create. I'm so glad your eye surgeries have gone well. As stitchers we all depend on our vision so much.
Nickie, you are a doll to offer to frog for me. I appreciate it so very much. I will pull it out in the near future and get it done, I just want to work on my. prompts that are pending first. Thank you for the encouragement as well. My eyes are doing so well. I have my final follow up on May 5th and I expect everything to be great. Dena
Amanda, Let Love Reign is out of time out. I frogged those stitches. I did put it among my WIPs for now and am using it for a prompt next month so that I make myself "get back in the saddle" as they say. Dena
Why is Fortnight Fabric not dyeing right now. Hope everything is alright with them. All your stitching is beautiful. I had a border issue, did my frogging, and ready to start back again. I did not put it in time out because I was on the last leg to have it finished. I waited tilll the end to do the border, so I was so close!!! The stitching piece would be a nice addition to your stitching wall. Saying that, loving to make project bags, I can certainly see it on a bag, too. Maybe do it twice!!!😂 how is your son doing. Glad he is coming to spend time with you.
Fortnight Fabric was run by a couple of guys who have since parted company from what I have heard. I do not have first hand knowledge, but understand that one of them might be trying to start up the business on his own, but don't know if that is accurate or just rumor. Thanks for your suggestions on the finishing ideas for When I think of Stitching. Dena
Dena, I am so sorry regarding your stitching mistake on your sampler border. I know all about the frustration you felt. I can lose every bit of religion and/or sanity that I have left when something like that happens to me. I always tell folks that I stitch to relax but when I make those big errors I don't feel any relaxation, just axiousness!!!!! Putting it away is always my answer too but you might try designating a time to take the stitches out and then put it away for a while. I've found that it's easier to go back to a blank slate to begin stitching again!! If not I put it away and might never go back because I dread taking the stitches out so much. Hope you can get back to yours soon. ❤
Donna, thank you for your empathy and understanding of my frogging situation. I have a plan about the frogging timeline. I have two prompts left to complete my acrostics and once I do that this week, I plan on frogging my Let Love Reign before the next challenge comes out on Friday. That way I won't feel like I am taking time away from working on my forward stitching (through prompts) to frog. My hope is to finish the frogging before Friday so it is ready for the next stitching session on it. Dena
So good to see you again Dena! I love seeing all your progress. Kringle’s is going to be great! And I love your Merry pillow finish. I was so sorry to hear of the Let Love Reign frog. Good for you on getting back in there so quickly. Glo is a great friend! You encourage me to keep at it by sharing the disappointment that you experienced with that set back. It made me feel not so bad when I just don’t feel like stitching after facing a set back. 😉. Also, it was so kind of you to acknowledge that viewers might be going through hard things that don’t necessarily “show” and that you “care.” I’m sure someone needed to hear that. Shoot, we’ve all been there, right? Love you lots, sweet lady. 😊❤️😊
@@halfstitchcrossstitch2456 I would love to stitch with you sometime!! We can catch up. Everyone is hanging in there in my family so no worries there. Mom will be 92 very soon and I’m spending a lot of time with her. I’m so grateful for her health. I’ll be on the lookout for a message.
Great to catch up with you. But so sorry about the rather large frog that came to visit you. If I loved near you I would volunteer to frog it for you but the UK is a little bit to far to do that! Congratulations on your finish and ffo they both look great. Take care of yourself and enjoy your stitching. Xxx
Caroline, thanks so much for your kind sentiments about frogging my project if you lived close enough! you will be happy to hear I did frog it and now it will be ready next month for the prompt stitching. Dena
Oh man, that’s so much work to take out.Dena. find my biggest issue cos I too mark my pattern and then when I have to redo it’s a pain. Give your counting a break,I just had frog visit my full coverage and yea I had to stay up and redo till got the stuff i had already marked. Lol sigh So happy you got to meet up with Kaylee or kayleigh which ever way she spells her name. How great to be able to help her learn to stitch and reinforce it wasn’t the group that didn’t want kids there. Oh merry ho ho so cute! I am debating doing my brand of monogamous May,working on 2projects both haeds. I have been working on one for almost week and a half and may continue with it,r may need a break as it is a lot of very similar colours and finding it hard to follow. Will see. See you next time.
Cindy, there are three prompts I want to finish this week if I can before I start frogging and restitching Let Love Reign. But the good news is I have stitching times on Thursday with friends so I am hoping to be frogging during at least one of those sessions. Dena
Dena, I’m so sorry you had that problem with Let Love Reign. I would have put it in time out too! In fact, when I made a big error on Huckleberry Farm last year, I did just that! I really didn’t want to pull it out again so I decided to put it on my WIP board three times this year! It has already been called once and I’ve done all the frogging and even started restitching. Now I’m actually looking forward to it being called again! I wish you a similar success with your piece!
Lynette, I have three more prompts this week to hit, then I will probably frog the piece so it is ready to stitch on again. I've ordered a Rolaframe to put it on. Dena
Oh no Dena. I’m so sorry for that mistake. You look so sad. A time out is a good place for that project for now. Deep breath. Miss Christmas Eve is beautiful.
Linda, you are so right, I did have to take a big breath and a break as well. I am busily working on my final three prompts this week to finish all my acrostics and the last challenge in Daily 30 group (until Friday when the new challenge comes out). I am hoping to get to frog Let Love Reign if I get those three prompts completed before the new challenge comes out. Dena
Hi Dena, I’m so sorry about your bloop on Let Love Reign! I agree that it is good to set it aside for a bit, and give you time to let go of the emotions. Then, when you’re ready, you’ll be able to move forward with positivity. If it helps, I made a similar mistake on my LLR…and I’d turned that lower right corner when I realized it, so I know where you’re at right now. Just a heads up, those loops are not symmetrical…the stitches vary…that’s where I made my mistake. My May plans are to finish a couple of projects that are very close to done, and to get some major work done on a stocking that I just started and hope to gift to my daughter-in-law for Christmas this year ❤. Take care, and I look forward to your next episode…Cheers, Micki
Micki, love your May plans. Thanks so much for the heads up about LLR not being symmetrical. I'll watch the pattern much more closely now after my debacle. Your daughter-in-love will really appreciate her stocking this Christmas. Dena
Pam, I think we can all be kind and thoughtful of others. It does not cost us anything. And, it may mean a lot to someone else to be acknowledged. I appreciate your sweet comment. Dena
I'm so sorry Dena for the error on your birthday sal. i know how disheartening it feels to make so much progress, only to realize i've made a mistake. You are so gracious, what an example you are to the rest of us!!!
Sheila, it may have sounded that way, but what I said was big "S" hooks. They are S shaped hooks. LOLOLOL. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Dena
Hi. Sorry for the frog coming to visit. Frogging is easier with friends. Maybe you could do some when you're on one of your calls. I started Mental Health May a few years ago, so I'll be working on a piece for the month. Congratulations on your finish.
Dena? I just had two MRI's and a CT scan on Tuesday. Friday I had to go in for the results. I am Cancer Free!!! So happy its been a long road. I will have to go every 2 months for scans and test. I thank every one that prayed for me. Does you lowery stand all metal? I just bought one and there is no wood that you put were the clap was. Love your project!
Lynn, so so happy to hear your are Cancer free! I will continue to pray for your continued good health! Thank you for sharing your wonderful news! The Lowery stand I used to have was all metal. I have a different floor stand now that is all wood. Dena
My heart breaks for you! Do you have someone who likes to frog? Maybe they could do it for you. In my chapter I do some frogging for chapter members who in return stitch on something for me in which I have a block (I do not like big blocks of green, especially DMC 580 or other greens that look sickly to me, lol).
Angie, what a great idea that you have someone who will frog in exchange for stitching past a block to someone else. Very supportive and beneficial to both parties. Dena
I stitched Let Love Reign and I thought the pattern was hard to follow. I don’t like a pattern that is spread over that many pages. I am so sorry about your border issue.
Linda, I think the hardest part to me is not have a repeat from page to page so it is really hard to see the line up. I plan on taping my pages together. Dena
Crafty Kat, yes the prompts are from Facebook groups. There are acrostics I use as prompts (a project to represent each letter of the acrostic for each month). Those are found in 24HOCS (Hours of Cross Stitch) led by Jen Lee; Magazine Monthly Challenge (or Monthly Magazine Challenge, I can never remember the order of the first two words) which is led by Carolyn Zook and Robin; and the Daily 30 group which unfortunately is a private group. In fact the remainder of my prompts from challenges are in the Daily 30 group. Then there is WIPGO by Jessie Marie Does Stuff. I hope this helps. Dena
I live in central Florida...if we live close by I'd by happy to frog that piece for you. (or if you mail it to me, I'd gladly do it and mail it back) Honest.
You are so very kind! Thank you so much. I will be finishing up three prompts this week and once I do that, I'll be ready to frog. Happy Stitching! Dena
That’s so disheartening Dena. It just Hurts. Time heals though so you will be able to move on when it’s the right time and it has sat in a Time Out and learned its lesson!🤭. I know a lot of people stitch whole borders I do each area as I go and count 188 Ways from Everywhere, 36 times or more.😂😂😂 I think I had forgot to say how good your son looks in that pic you had put on. Amazing. Take care.....
Dena
Thanks for sharing your gorgeous stitching. I hope you have fun with 24 hours of cross stitch. 😊
Rhonda, had a ball with the 24 HOCS marathon. Got 19 hours in that weekend. YAY!
Dena
Thank you for thinking of the people that are having a hard time. We need more beautiful good hearted people like you. ❤
Martha, thank you for the kind response to my comments. I just felt it was needed for someone out there I guess. Dena
I’m so sorry that FROGGIE Came a’callin’. You do such nice work and work so hard!! It just doesn’t seem fair. 🤨
Dena
Love your pillow finish it is beautiful ❤️🌸💕✝️
Holly, thank you so much. I even put a holly branch on the bells. LOL. Dena
Dena
@@halfstitchcrossstitch2456 that’s good and am sure you are relieved now!
Dena
Love your finish “Merry Ho Ho. Great job Dena!
Thank you! Dena
You are so sweet. Thank you. I appreciate you and love your channel. ❤
Thanks so much Cynthia.
- TaMara
TaMara, thanks for the empathy for my Let Love Reign mistake. It is all frogged now and will be ready for the next time it is stitched on. Dena
Dena
You have such a kind heart Dena. It's great that you managed to meet up with that young girl again. I always enjoy watching your videos.
BJ that is a brilliant idea to recopy those pages because the border is all that is marked on them yet. Thank you for making that suggestion! Dena
Oh Dena! That moment when you realize that you have made a mistake...a big mistake.....aaaggghhhh!!! I feel your pain!!!!
Sarah, it was a moment of pain! So well put. I am okay now and have a plan to attack the frogging portion in the very near future. Dena
Dena
Hi Dena,
I’m so happy to see you again to see your stitching progress and even the stitching mistakes. When that happens it’s often time to take a break. I also had to frog a partial border yesterday. Your stitching on Kringles and your Autumn bell pull are so very nice. Keep on stitching 😊
Ellen, thank you so much for your encouragement! Sorry you had to frog a partial border as well. Happy Stitching! Dena
God bless
Pat
Pat, I worked on laying brick yesterday on Kringles. I would love to get the brick portion done by month's end, but I do have three more prompts to meet this week first. And of course there is the frogging that must be done.....LOL. I have decided on my two new starts for May Mondays. I am starting a dog alphabet by JBW designs and another really small project, I think the name is In the Valley (but it is a tiny piece with cute decorative buttons. I should be able to finish both the week I start them which was the plan! Dena
Oh goodness, I am so sorry the frog came to visit you. Your ffo and finish are both really pretty. Have a great day.
Mary Cat Stitches, thanks so much for the kind words and well wishes. I hope your stitching is going smoothly! Happy Stitching! Dena
Dena
Hi Dena
So many Beautiful Projects that you have been working on.
Take Care & Happy Stitching
❤️🤗🙏🧵🪡🧵🐾🐶🐾❤️
Thanks for stopping by. Dena
Thanks for another great video.
Thanks Vickie! I appreciate it so much. Dena
Dena
Another awesome video!! Thank you!!
Mitzi, thanks so much for visiting again and for the kind comment. I hope you are having a great month of stitching.
Dena
Oh my goodness I feel sad for you to have to rip all that out 😢I would put it in time out too! Always enjoy your flosstube ❤
Laura, I have missed you! I hope all is well with your mom and family. I will private message you so we can stitch together. Dena
Dena
@@halfstitchcrossstitch2456 That sounds like a good plan! I look forward to finding out how you get on!
Dena
You are so kind.
Pam, I think we can all be kind and thoughtful of others. It does not cost us anything. And, it may mean a lot to someone else to be acknowledged. I appreciate your sweet comment. Dena
Love the video 😊
Thanks Peaches! Hope you are doing well and having lots of stitching progress. Dena
I'm so sorry Dena for the error on your birthday sal. i know how disheartening it feels to make so much progress, only to realize i've made a mistake. You are so gracious, what an example you are to the rest of us!!!
Penny, it wasn't a total waste, I did get to count it for the prompts, but I sure do thank you for your kind understanding of how I felt. Dena
Sending ❤ your way.
Thank you for all you bring to us. It truly means so much.
Happy stitching 🧵
K
K, thanks so much for stopping by to visit and for your kindness. Happy Stitching to you as well. Dena
Let’s giggle a little….you said big ass hooks! Lol
Kanday, which piece will you be working on this year for Mental Health May? Have you said already and I missed it? Dena
@@halfstitchcrossstitch2456 I've chosen 2 this year, Beautiful Things by Lindy Stitches and one from a book called It's okay to not be okay.
Congrats on your Blessed News 🎉😊❤
Congratulations on your scans and C.T.’s…God is good❤
Lynn, so so happy to hear your are Cancer free! I will continue to pray for your continued good health! Thank you for sharing your wonderful news! The Lowery stand I used to have was all metal. I have a different floor stand now that is all wood. Dena
@@halfstitchcrossstitch2456 Thank you! Where did you get the wooden stand?
@@lorettahenderson8979 Thank you so much
❤❤❤
Thanks for stopping by Elena. Dena

Glad you could stop by! happy stitching.
Dena
I’m curious, you mention prompts all the time, could you tell me where you find them, is it a Facebook group? And if so which one?
Dena
Oh dena I’m so sorry … that’s why I do as I go…I hate frogs lol. So discouraging…
Tara, I hope the frog is far far away now. They are discouraging as you say. Hope you have excellent stitching (with no frogs).
