Thanks for this video, I wondered if you can use a heat mat on an older plant (an Alocasia Macrorrhiza) to help dry out the soil. I have a pretty good soil mix that is good for drainage but also keeps some moisture but it seems to take a long time to dry out so I worry about over watering? Thanks x
Hi, I have a small greenhouse, for my living room plant corner as I just started my exotic plants collection, but the temperature gets very low in the greenhouse, low as 17C. Never higher than 19, my ground-floor flat is very cold, I am very insecure as I'm a new plant parent 😅 Would you think a heat mat at the bottom of the greenhouse is a good idea to keep the whole thing a little warmer?
Same question! I have a couple sensitive tropical plants in a small indoor greenhouse and want to warm up the temps overall. Anybody know if a mat would help with this?
People tend to use the term "over watering" improperly. A better term is too frequent watering. Some people think adding too much water is over watering...it is not.
I keep my kalanchoe on a heat mat and it’s soo happy. Been growing so much and flowers a ton. It was a game changer for it.
I love your shirt! Thanks for the good info.
Thanks for this video - What is the cost of running a heat mat every day for tropical plants?

This video was made before that was common knowledge. The houseplant community is growing and learning right alongside each other every day 😁
😊
Reptile mats are ment to get up too 100+ degrees, only use with a thermostats!
You have a snake on your shirt. Please remove it or remake this video
What? He can wear any shirt he wants!
Why remake the video because of the snake? I just don’t get it😅
