Is this still viable in todays meta, or better to go with ur MAA into archers build on ur discord? When playing with Mayans do you just add 1 extra villager to the discord MAA into archers BO to make it work? So go to feudal with 22 vills? Thanks for all the great content you've put out over the years!
@@HeraAgeofEmpires2 how long do you reckon it took you to become 'decent'? And let's say decent is defined as perform consistently around the 16xx mark and understand how to use eco to implement a strategy (as opposed to boom with no direction and pray)
hmm, when you talked about counters, what is with drushes? MAA vs Drush often means that you trade HP on the Militias and then the MAA are considerably weaker so players often dont go for MAA, bt then the drush player is ahead bc he went up laster and therefore ahve the stronger eco. Is the plan to ignore the militia and attack with the MAA anyway? or just wait for the MAA upgrade to then destroy the militia and go forward afterwards?
Usually just having the feudal scout helps u win the fight, also ur in feudal faster so u can get out archers quicker, true the drush player will have a better eco but u will have some momentum
i know i am a month late but most certainly is, i almost still exclusively use this as mayans although im only an 1100 pleb 11 i love the map control and it feels smooth
Love this build order. I sometimes play Huns wars, and I’m trying to adapt this to Huns. I can consistently get up with 22 pop and get the militia into enemy base just after the maa upgrade hits. I’m also able to get the range up immediately at feudal, get double bit axe, and get a smith up and fletching when I get 4 archers out. And a late 21/early 22 castle with about 10 archers and wheelbarrow. But that is depending on deer. Any tips? I have a hard time doing any damage with my maa and first 4 archers if I go up on 23 pop. I have had some success substituting towers for archers, that hits really hard if the opponent has a bad map or walls up, because I get the blacksmith and fletching right about when the first tower goes up. Note that I’m a pretty crappy player, so that speaks very well of this build! Thanks.

Will be very tight in feudual and will delay castle alot, I've tried it before and I'm not a fan. Although if u think it's worth the faster maa then it can work ok if u play aggresive
this has been working for me with brits, but it's a bit weird, I'd rather have some vils on sheep instead of berries. What do you think about this strategy using brits? Great content as always. Incredible matches with lierey, congrats!!!
I think for british just archer rush with 2 ranges is more better But it also depends on civ match ups I havent tried tho But, i guess 2 ranges for brits is more neccesary in feudal.
I wonder... when do you start attacking your opponent with your archers ? You wait till castle with full upgrades or you do it when you get fletching and ~10 archers ? Also, with mayans, when you reach castle, do you prioritize transitioning through plumed archers, or do you keep the main archer's tree line ?
I go right away, some wait for fletching. For mayans you can do plumes right away but usually if u have archers left over in feudal, its worth it to upgrade to crossbow, get 3 tc up and thennn transition to plume.
