This series is very interesting I just hope that in the future you expand upon the groundwork you've laid down. Two and a half minutes of video only whets my appetite for more information about chromosomes.
Would have preferred some extra comparisons in regards to what happens if humans have this gene corrupted or something. All I got from this video is that some gene in us, somehow may be linked to the brain's ability to adapt.
First I start to think the Irish must have a unique "foxp2" then he mentions "plasticity" and that threw the concept out for those hardheads! (remember your promise RI?)
I'm starting to feel a bit disappointed by these videos. Sure they highlight something from each gene, but it's such a small subset of the innumerable possibilities of things that could be discussed, that I feel that I didn't really learn anything from each chromosome video. It would be much appreciated if each video could go into even a bit more depth.
Yes. I've unsubscribed and given up.. Shame .. Nice idea with potential but let down by poor writing.. It is possible to be brief and introductory without making overly generalised statements and factually incorrect aphorisms.. I got as far as eight and the list of complaints was growing and the list of compliments not.. bye.. ;9)
I've always felt so sorry for caged birds...
Same

here i was thinking this would be about psychology in captivity, it was nice though
That Canary knows Dubstep!
So how exactly does the gene make the brain work differently?
Did we inherit it from a common ancestor or evolve it independently? Also, do whales with long songs also have that gene?
The description says chromosome 2 as opposed to 7.
Thanks for flagging this Omer! Must have been a typo, it's been corrected now.
Um. What does the fox say?

There is nothing more disgusting than caging a bird. Wings are meant for flying
