I always thought DLC price was very reasonable in snowrunner. 5 to 10 for a full expansion with several maps, new trucks and ALOT of gameplay or about 2.50 to 5.00 for a new truck or a couple scouts. If it was TSW it would be 20 to 30 quid easily.

As for the Atom, at first, I was sceptical about it - because it can't combine its custom sideboard bed with crane. But even a regular 3-slot flatbed+crane+trailer combo is nice to have - and that is what 73210 or Mastodon lack. The custom maintenance module with a trailer capability is also nice to have - albeit I'd trade some of the fuel for more spare parts. A really great truck indeed!
Kind of you to say, I need to do more of these reviews. Just been a bit crazy in real life! You are right about the Atom, it does have its place and can be very useful. Just a bit weird the three-slot custom bed looks like it could easily hold four slots, but you can't win them all.
Loving this truck, it's strength definitely seems to be as a support vehicle. For Hauling I find the 3 slot capacity to be a bit awkward with so much of the cargo taking double slots so it's running part empty and you may as well have bought something smaller. The lack of long log carrier also sucks as the long hauls those missions usually need would be alot easier in this. Overall Mega happy and it's a great addition to the fleet and may finally allow my Fleetstar to retire from its support truck duties.
It's a great truck, I like it. :-) It got a place in my garage next to the FEMM 37-AT and the Azov 73210. I must say that lately I played more with the Azovs, FEMM and Twinsteer and not the ZikZ family. ^^
Having a rear mounted cranes makes this thing great for cargo stackers. The bed may only hold 3 slots of packed cargo but depending on the type you can stack another one or two layers of cargo on top of that. I often put around 6 to 9 units of cargo on there, plus another 4 units (packed) on a trailer. And it got the power to pull all that! I know this thing is already quite overpowered but I still wished it could use the medium logs addon with a loader crane. it got the room for it.
Rear mounted crane also means you don't need to fight the truck trying to fall down. The crane stands are very strong without the wheels all around them.
This custom board looking like a 4 slots but only having 3, was a big let down. I don't understand why saber don't make another 4 slots truck, I love the twinsteer but it would be nice to have something else to pull big cargo without the need of an implement.
It does look like the custom bed should be a 4 slot to me as well, especially since you can't use the small crane with it, unlike the regular 3 slot flatbed you can use the crane with (which, if starting a new save, you'd have to wait to level up to I believe level 10 to use). Right now, the other option besides the Twinsteer for a 4 slot hauling truck is going to be the FEMM 37-AT, which I believe can also still attach to a trailer, unlike the Twinsteer. Though I find it a bit more annoying to drive than the K-700 or CAT 745C, since hitting certain spots can drastically change the direction being steered. It would be nice to have a few more 4 slot trucks though, especially with long ones like this. There's a ton of content with big maps, and even with crazy powerful mod trucks, many of which aren't 4 slots or even 3 slot, it'll still take a while to 100% the entire game released thus far. So adding vanilla trucks that carry a bit more isn't going to make the game go much quicker.

@@aleksa6242 But on Azov 7 you can load 6 slots (2 on the roof, 2 instead of spare tires and 2 normally). Everything was held stably by a crane and traveled many kilometers ;)
@@vladvulcan I was pretty sure that I read somewhere that they either take a KamAz and modify it or atleast use its cabin (which tbf wouldnt be enough to consider it a KamAz)
I always wonder if people doesn't bother to have non - permanent difflock, those trucks can be good, but only the kenworth can use the H properly With the difflock, didn't bother to you all that?
@@salvador_mano4x4 Doesn't matter. I never use H it's allways A for speed and if i am in tough terrain i use L and turn on AWD but just with A+AWD Ken can do it. CAT can go though some bad terrain just with L+diff lock. Derry Special is very good just with permanent AWD and FEMM rarely needs diff lock. The biggest trucks are allways the best.

Automatic works if you know how to go Up and down manually (Sort of) With the gear select button, the H gear is a awesome way to go fast under almost any circumstances, because uses the gear under the higher one, wich allows the engine to maximize the power and Torque, going fast And about the derry special, and the FEMM, i didn't find nothing attractive in them, except for the capacity of pass trough Deep rivers from the FEMM, but they make me desperate, slowing down every time one wheel is in the Air, or mud No permanent difflock? They get sold..... If just the diff locking system of the Game was like mudrunner.... Way better way to work, and more realistic, than snowrunner
@@salvador_mano4x4 FEMM has great performance in all terrain only with AWD and is my first choice for 4x cargo truck. Derry Special is powerfull too and i can use it for water with that 2200L tank and can carry long logs too or take those huge semi trailers. When i can take a safer way it's better even if it's longer and these trucks have roof rack with fuel and i have a CAT CT681 with maintenance addon for help. Maybe i should try Paystar 5600TS as fuel tanker.😂 I don't like to overload and i don't like semi trailers as i usually use one and sell it in the store only when i need cargo superior to 4x. In North Carolina where i am the implement store is not even in the garage so trucks like FEMM are some of the best for utility. FEMM 37-AT CAT 745G Kenworth 963 Mack Defense Derry Special For my play style these trucks can do what i need.
I don't like this vehicle with current experience. Not sure if it's just me, at times, the tail of the truck jumps up like no weight (not sure if it's from its weight distribution). Also, it's not very stable (non-PTS version), tho I heard stability gets fixed on PTS. Also I don't know why devs decided to remove crane with high/low saddles are installed.
I have this and use a mod trailer with it, RNG have some that look right being pulled by a rigid. Painted it in Travis Perkins colours. It's great but I just haven't bonded with it.
My opinion on this truck. Good offroad, nice addons, decent looking although kind of boring at this point. But very very very fuel efficient. Cons: its very unstable Is it worth it? If youre like me and collect the dlcs or you like azov truck then yes. If you only buy usful dlcs then no because its not much better than the 64131
I'd say it's miles better then the 64131, this has a roof rack with fuel and repairs, has a 3 slot bed and crane and can also do the log crane with low saddle which is very nice when you have to move multiple logs. Also it's the only truck with 3 slot and crane that isn't gigantic or bad on fuel like the paystar ts.
So basically, no, is not worth the money, too much "regular" specs, and nothing shine over the rest of the garage, so i'll keep using the mastodon Shame, i like the truck at first sight, is like a 64131 but more useful BTW, ben, some idea of what that misterious 2nd scout vehicle esorokin said, will be??

3:02 - The advanced gearbox has no penalty for AWD... Turning off AWD does not change fuel consumption!

PTS definitely improves the stability a lot and the saddle crane thing is fortunately fixed too. I guess it should be fixed in June but we shall see.

I wouldn't call it very unstable, Like of course it's gonna flip if you drive the truck on an incline. If you just don't do that the truck is fine

The Mastodon doesn't get 3-slot bed+crane+trailer combo. Also the Atom is super fuel-efficient.
