If you're walking at a strange time, even in a familiar place, You can feel a pleasant thrill. Fortunately, there were still people. One summer night in my life, I swam like this in the rain.
There were ecstatic lights there, but it wasn't mine as usual. I passed through it and entered a dark path where things were indistinguishable by myself.

Hongdae is
A large commercial district located around Hongik University, Hongdae
Station, and Sangsu Station. Hongdae in Hongdae Street is short for Hongik University. After the opening of Hongdae Station, Seogyo-dong, Sangsu-dong, or Indie Scene, where distinctive commercial districts are maintained, were commonly referred to as Hongdae Street and settled under the name "Hongdae Street." I landed in korea at 2am and i really like the streets because of its vibrant color and it was cold, too!! I also love the fact that there are still people in the streets and a lot of convenient stores are open! Would love to go there again

Remember walking through here every night while people were around, and my friend and I just sitting at the restaurant in 32:59 drinking, eating and talking to go to the club after across the street. One of the best memories of Korea, hope to go back here very soon in a few months. Korea gave me a sense of peace and calmness and freedom I never knew I could have. Walking home 5 minutez away at 2-3 am felt so safe and fun, nothing like New York

I know it was probably miserable walking through a city at 2AM in the pouring rain for like an hour, but part of me still wants to believe it's the coolest thing ever.
Watching this makes me miss South Korea even more, especially the empty streets around 2-3 A.M. Can't forget the good memories in Hongdae drunk crawling back to the house lol or the Airbnb.

Reminds me of how I used to take a stroll during the cold rainy nights in March-June in Sinchon-Hongdae area. It really feels otherworldly with the bare streets, neon lights, some taxis here n' there.

As an American it's very surprising to see the amount of people who are out walking around at 2AM, not to mention the amount of businesses that appear to still be open at that hour. Really makes me want to visit S. Korea and just walk around late at night. In my city you'd be lucky to find maybe 1 or 2 restaurants that are open that late, and even then it's usually just the drive thru.

please dont make that mistake/assumption 😅 im korean american and even though ive only visited there once, korea is not as aesthetic as it seems just from this one video or from however many videos you have seen of the good side of korea. seeing this is like seeing the popular girls instagram without really knowing her. in her pictures, you see shes always with friends, smiling, laughing having fun, but you don't see EVERYTHING that happens. for korea, there are a lot of rude snobby people, racists, and a lot of sexists... in a way, its exactly like the us. there isn't really a perfect place. in america, there are many aesthetic and beautiful places, but probably like me, you dont really see that because of all the bad that's happened :/

Before I really wanted to go to Korea, but after seeing this, i now want to move there. Its just so beatiful. I dont know how, but Korea gives off this strange feeling of comfort and peace, it can kind of feel like freedom. I really want to go here someday!
