Unfortunately, women like this are extraordinarily common. Afraid of being single mothers and having to do manual labor on their own that they will stay in the company of a neglectful, abusive, and just straight up worthless man even at their child's detriment.

Unfit parents and a young girl who never knew how to protect herself from abuse, sad story I got to say, OP should of said something to a teacher growing up and they would have sent in child protective services to get her out of that household, chance at a better life, stories like this are too common with kids that don't know who to ask for help or too embarrassed to speak up
