- Join us as we visit the annual Goose Fair held at The Forest Recreation Ground in Nottingham. The fair originated in the 1400's where geese were sold by huntsmen to local villagers in the forest grounds. Each year a wide variety of travelling rides and attractions come to the fair from different showmen across the UK.
In this vlog we experience a selection of rides at the event including plenty of on and off ride footage from one of the biggest fairs in the UK calendar. We also share our thoughts on the rides we experience along with taking in the amazing atmosphere provided at the event each year!

get down to Hull Fair only 5 days left before it ends for the year if not be sure to visit next year :). Europes largest and oldest fair dated back to the 1300s

Personally I dislike the general atmosphere as it's a tad 'chavy' due to locals.

I live like 10 mins away from goose fair on the forest I was there but I can't remember if I saw you and your friend there
in Gloucester, there's a fair every year in summer where on Tuesday's it £1 a ride! next year you should come, around 1.5 hours from stoke. :))

Back row Shambhala is a must! Front row is worth it on all the other coasters

I'm waiting until it all comes to ilkeston in 2 weeks time literally 3 minute walk from my college. sorted haha. Could have gone to goose fair but not much point when most of the rides come to ilkeston charter fair

Brilliant lads but only one thing I am from show people and my food was 100 per cent good if I was still standing the fairs I would of treated you both thanks for being interested in the fairs and show people it's nice to hear that someone else can see it is a hard life and work but always with your community xx

Hi there did like the freesbe ride how much did cost you can get the ride as 40 seater or 50 seater the ride is made by huss rides i am planning to buy one of these regards

It's called forest park and ride also known has forest recreation ground missed it this year has it's my local fair
OMG my dad used to take me here as a small child. Last time I went back I was probably 15. Hope it's still going strong 15 years later now I'm 30.
Edit and fun fact:
the mayor still walks through the city centre with a gaggle of real geese the weekends of when the fair is present (old tradition and original you how the fair started)
how was the crowd guys,was it happy atmosphere or few gangs hanging around,or family atmosphere,the last time i went there M&D had there TSUNAMI coaster there

Good video there lads. Suggest for a future year if you can do Goose Fair on Saturday and see the fairground in miniature at the model show David Wragg does a great job on organising every year. We had models of Giant Wheel, Superstar, Waltzers, AIR and many more this year.

You'd be surprised, for the general amount of rides here around notts there can be even naked women in the backdrops, I've seen strippers, bdsm and more so

Fabulous stuff, really enjoyed that. Whilst not politically correct do they still have freak shows or stunt motorbikes like Matcham's or Circus of horrors? Enjoyed those at the Great Dorset Steam Fair along with a crazy Toboggan ride .
Are you not slightly scared of a ride literally breaking? I don't know why,but, I feel safer on rollercoasters :)
The rides undergo strict safety checks just the same as theme parks!

What the smiler accidents can happen on any ride but more likely to die walking there
Just be careful what you say about the food stalls at fairgrounds, some enthusiasts have taken it in the wrong way and got in a bit annoyed. Don't worry about it through.🙂
