My name is Jess! I had a daughter (Lilia) at age 18 w/ my high school sweetheart. We mutually split up & co-parent to this day. I met someone new, got married, had twin boys (Kyson & Kaden) and another son (Landen). He cheated, we split ways, & he’s not around much. After juggling life as a single mom of 4 for some time, I met Chris, he had 2 sons: Caden and Tommy, who eventually became my step sons. After Chris and I got married, we had our 7th child together, Addelyn. My 21 year old son has loved penguins his whole life and still does today he jokes his first tattoo will be of a penguin 🐧

If you ever plan a trip like this again. Look into the airbnbs that are right on the beach in the town of Watsonville. It’s literally the town that’s in the middle of both Monterey and Santa Cruz.

@@JesssFam This!! I stayed there over the holidays last year and it was so much fun! The aquarium was only about a 40 min drive! Maybe less! We stayed at the Pajaro Dunes rentals!
Aptos area is also really nice. I'd recommend seascape, la selva, there's a nice KOA on San Andreas rd, Rio Del Mar area is great, by the cement ship. Pleasure point has great beaches as well. ! There are so many better beaches in Santa Cruz than the one by the boardwalk. It's dirty and sketchy. LMK if you need more recommendations.
It's also only about a 40-50 minute drive to Monterey from any of those places.

Lilia is such a good big sister! That shot of her sitting on the couch with three little kids piled around her is so sweet! Also i'm laughing bc when i was in my younger teens I was obsessed with FNAF too (i'm 20 now and it's been around for so long haha) - i read SO much fanfiction where the animatronics were only killing humans because purple guy programmed them to see humans as endos, and then the security guard would override that programming and befriend the animatronics and team up to take down the aftons lmaoooo

a small tip to keep a house with no ac cool make sure to close the windows to keep the humidity out and close the curtains to keep the heat from the sun out, any way love your videos.
Came here to say this! All windows, doors, blinds, and curtains should be kept closed. It help more than one would think!
Open at night once the breeze starts to cool down then close them back up first thing in the morning and keep the windows covered then run fans to keep the air circulating it definitely helps when u don’t have AC

My husband and kids and I love Monterey! We go there all the time. The beach you were is my absolute favorite. I sit on the rocks there and feel like my late grandma is sitting next to me like we used to ❤️ I’m about 3 hours away and go for the day as often as possible. You should try to eat at Fish Hopper and Bubba gumps. I hope kyson is ok, I know that has to be painful that is. Sending hugs.
As a server I would hate if I got sat with more than 6 people. It’s really really hard. I’ve worked 2 full time jobs before and serving is so much harder on your body and mind. Most parties don’t tip well. People forget that servers don’t get paid hourly.

The aquarium in Finding Dory was actually based off of the Monterey Bay Aquarium! It's one of my favorite fun facts to tell people when they come to visit.

The fish is living its best life? Not at all. Hes in a cage and not the ocean. The ocean to him is like the entire world you travel in and he cant. Its like putting you in prison and you cant go travel like you love to do. I dont go to those type of places. I go to sanctuary that rescue animals from captivity and give them the best life they can have thats closest to the wild as possible since they cant be rereleased.

I really hope that y’all try to make reservations when going out to eat, even if it’s just your fam. Anything above 6 has an unwritten rule in the service industry to make reservations or be EXTREMELY aware of how annoying and difficult accommodating large parties on a whim can be.
I was a sever for 6 yrs and never heard of this. We got excited when we seen a large party walk in and didn’t feel like it was annoying and difficult to accommodate. I am not sure why you feel this way.
If it’s such a big deal they should really let people know that they should make reservations ahead of time.
I know this is old but we lived in the area almost 10 years. For better places to stay my suggestion would be to look into the short term rental or Airbnb options in Pacific Grove (PG) or Carmel, or Pebble Beach (sugar sand!) if you can afford it. Homes along the beach, breathtaking ocean views in the front yard. PG and Carmel get foggy and cool depending on time of year but is right at the aquarium's door. Alternately Carmel Valley is gorgeous for mountain and valley views and clear warm weather most of the year. xo

Closing the pores in her hair with cold water before swimming can help with green hair, also rinse her hair right after swimming! My daughters hair turned green too.

I do feel bad, but this is why you should ALWAYS wear sandals or crocs or something to protect your feet in the lake or on the beach or in the water. I don’t get what you wouldn’t wear something to protect yourself.
