From what I can tell, there are zero disadvantages to using this service for someone just starting out. If I was getting started today, this is the first thing I would do. 14:16: With regards to affiliates, Pete, the exclusivity agreement is just for content that has been streamed on Twitch. You CAN stream to other platforms as an affiliate, but if you are streaming on Twitch, THAT content has to remain exclusive for 24 hours. In other words, dual streaming on Twitch and RUclips is not ok, but I can use this service for other platforms as long as Twitch isn't included.
Here's some additional clarification from Twitch's FAQ regarding the Affiliate Agreement: "If the stream is embedded in another website in accordance with our Developer Services Agreement, this still counts as being on “Twitch” and is not a violation of this policy. The exclusivity clause does not otherwise restrict Affiliates from using other streaming platforms to do live streaming. For instance, an Affiliate is permitted to start a stream on Twitch and, after ending that stream, immediately start a new, separate stream on another platform -- assuming the Affiliate is not also using Twitch to broadcast that same content at the same time. Lastly, it's worth bearing in mind that Affiliates' exclusivity obligations impact only live content, not past streamed content or VOD. Affiliates can upload the same VOD onto Twitch and other platforms without any exclusivity concerns, with the exception, again, of archiving live content within twenty-four hours after it broadcasts on Twitch. Also, remember that broadcasting prerecorded live content on Twitch is considered real-time streaming of "live content" when it is broadcast for the first time."
Hopha23, you can use Restream whether or not you are an affiliate on Twitch. If you are an affiliate, you may not stream to Twitch at the same time as other platforms. In other words, if you want to stream to RUclips, Facebook, etc., you are able to as an affiliate. If you add Twitch to that list, you cannot because Twitch requires content to be exclusive to Twitch for at least 24 hours from the end of the broadcast.
Bro honesty you're awesome. You've helped my streams and my overall experience with streaming immensely. Thank you and I know we all appreciate everything you do.
Funny how I thought about this and your channel pops up! Amazing video, thanks again! I've been streaming with Twitch for 3 months and it's been really difficult to grow. I hope this platform helps.
Great content! I have searched high and low for an in-depth tutorial on what to use and how to go about using an interface which allows gamers to stream to more than one platform at a time. Thank you so much! This video was very informative and easy to follow. 😊
Thanks for this Pete I was watching your content before I went to hospital, but just catching up on it again now and congratulations on the big milestone couldn't have happened to a better guy :)
This is the video I have been looking for,,, one to goto different platforms at once, but also, to not to have to goto FB and enter the title and description every time I went live,,,so again TYVM!!
Thank you. This is the most informative video I've seen on this topic. Twitch recently had a massive API update, so I would need to read through the twitch TOS & Affiliate contract to see if I would be in any breach of contract using restream. I hope I'm able to use this. It looks amazing!!!!! Thanks again.
The comment at the very end, about the affiliate program might have saved me from doing the setup lol! I only got affiliate status today from Twitch so wouldn't want to lose it.
This is awesome. I love all the great tip videos. I would like to know if you have any good ideas for scenes that every streamer should consider using.
Your videos are very useful, thanks for this. I am using restream.io for multistreaming to Twitch, RUclips(professional page) and Mixer. Their Chat and Analytics are very useful.
This video is brilliant and very helpful in reaching multiple platforms. At 14 minutes you hit the start streaming on obs, with the xbox, do you stream through OBS stream lab then or through one of the accounts ie twitch or mixer etc as they're now linked?
Great video. Keep it up!.. Also quick question, apart from being able to use restream to send over 30 different destinations. Is it not the same as let's say wirecast, but i guess you pay with wirecast? Is that correct? Or would you say restream is better then wirecast i.e more stable and works better? What is your experience between the two? Thanks
Great tutorials this is really inspiring keep it up,one thing I'd like to see though, is a complete tutorial on how to make a RUclips account for example how to make a username (not the first and last name thing) and what keywords do,tags, how to get your channel noticed, and how it can be viewed from search bar,how payment works (the views and minutes)
Great video. Thanks Pete. Interestingly, I get better performance streaming to the Twitch UK server from South Africa via Restream's UK server, than if I where to stream directly to the Twitch UK server.
This was very Helpful as usual, I would love to see you do an updated stream tutorial of RUclips Gaming, it seem's they've updated the feature and it looks very confusing !
Great video thanks, I've spent the last month getting into OBS Studio and now understand it quite well then very recently I've subscribed to Restream as I wanted to stream to multiple platforms. Now I've discovered all the alerts you can get with OBS Live through Streamelements. Can I still use my Restream subscription if I move to OBS Live/stream elements?? Thankyou
Great video. Can I ask if you can do a quick test: stream to facebook/RUclips/periscope same time on wirecast pro, also same thing from wirecast to restream. Can you tell me which was better at streaming direct to wirecast vs wirecast streamed to restream. Want to know which is more effective direct vs via restream option. Thanks!!
Super useful video thank you so much! How do you actually select where to stream certain content if my stream is not about gaming but about designing my designs process etc? Does it automatically assign where to put your video on certain channels? That part I did not get it. Any idea?
Hi, I recently tried to set this and when I can go linking my Facebook page it said I need to upgrade. So pretty much pay to use it. Is there a way around this since you are saying it’s free? Or are you just saying it’s free to stream on you personal page?
only thing stopping me using restream is twitch doesn't allow more than 6000 Bitrate and i use more than that on my utube streams. coz im using nvenc i need more Bitrate to have good quality.
Also a great video to do would be a in depth tutorial on how to edit on Davinci Resolve 14 (how to make the cuts which you do) how to put music over, how to do voice overs, correct settings for audio and viewing, how to add effects like what top RUclipsr do
could you please show a how to video on how to stream from your phone to obs? or what is the best to use when screen mirroring from phone to obs to use overlays and stuff...
Great presentation of restream, I'm only upset about Facebook not natively supported because it is my second target. Facebook live us only possible with custom stream that is a paying option.
I heard rumors that if you are trying to make income on Twitch you are ONLY allowed to use Twitch. Is that not true? Would this cause issues with that agreement? Edit: Finished the video. Ignore me.
i have my twitch alerts setup through streamlabs and they work fine when streaming to twitch. If im adding youtube and mixer, how will alerts from those platforms work? or how are they set up?
I have a question if i want to stream youtube and twitch at the same time by restream.io what bitrate i have to set on SLOBS ? My internet speed is verizon 400mbps down/up.
It doesn’t lagg the more platform you stream from? Presently i only use youtube with obs studio or live broadcast when on ps4 and how would i view all the chats if the only way i can view my chat is when i go on youtube on my cellphone on my own stream
Can you explain how to do overlays like Soda? I like that when someone subs/tips him the overlay behind the camera changes to red, shows the alert, disappears and the overlay changes to blue again
hey mate love your work just a question how come some things work with obs and some dont for example nogba epsx work but runescape and pcsx2 dont if you can help that would be great
on restream.io can u setup like 3 different viewer counts or multiple alerts on stream to register through like dat twitch n mixer both to have my obs alerted when there n incoming follower from both platforms
Thanks again for the OBS+restream enlightenment, praise be! 🙏
You're very welcome! 🙏
Lol #Legend
oh! jesus
Thanks Jesus
Peace and love for all
Hey Jesus can I go to heaven?

Thanks for clarifying.
No problem, Robert!
so to be clear. if i'm not an affiliate yet i can use this? but if/when i get affiliated i can stream just to Twitch?
Hopha23, you can use Restream whether or not you are an affiliate on Twitch.

I've been using restream since my very first stream. So simple to setup and it has never let me down.
Bro honesty you're awesome. You've helped my streams and my overall experience with streaming immensely. Thank you and I know we all appreciate everything you do.
Such a great explanation of Restream.io.
Haven't used it yet, but after your tour of the product, I already feel comfortable trying it.
This might well be the most informative video on RUclips, great job man!
Funny how I thought about this and your channel pops up! Amazing video, thanks again! I've been streaming with Twitch for 3 months and it's been really difficult to grow. I hope this platform helps.
one of the most under rated youtube channels right here. Love your stuff bro keep at it
Great content! I have searched high and low for an in-depth tutorial on what to use and how to go about using an interface which allows gamers to stream to more than one platform at a time. Thank you so much! This video was very informative and easy to follow. 😊
You have no idea how much I wanted you to make a video on this, thank you so much !
Thanks for this Pete I was watching your content before I went to hospital, but just catching up on it again now and congratulations on the big milestone couldn't have happened to a better guy :)

Game changer for us small streamers.
Thank you for doing a proper video on this point, picking up my suggestion. :)
Does the issue you mentioned at 6:40 still exist? What settings do you recommend for using new NVENC encoding?
Awesome tutorial btw. Love it!

Thinks just get better and better, the only trouble now there are so many options to choose from. Thanks Gaming Careers!! 🇬🇧
The comment at the very end, about the affiliate program might have saved me from doing the setup lol! I only got affiliate status today from Twitch so wouldn't want to lose it.

Restream is also great for someone like me who gets a lot of dropped packets to twitch servers. I get a much more consistent stream from restream.
Love your channel man! Great explanations.
I love your videos, specially those on Streamlabs OBS, would it be possible to make a video on the Streamlabs Chatbot? :)

Greats video, quick Q! If you use restream.io do Streamlabs alerts still work, say when you get a new subscriber or follower across all the platforms?
mad thumbs up my dude
only thing stopping me using restream is twitch doesn't allow more than 6000 Bitrate and i use more than that on my utube streams. coz im using nvenc i need more Bitrate to have good quality.
Exactly what I needed to find out since I stream at 1440p 60fps. Thanks man
Thank you buddy. Just wondering if you intent to do an update on this subject. Just thinking of the new ways / Software avai
Also a great video to do would be a in depth tutorial on how to edit on Davinci Resolve 14 (how to make the cuts which you do) how to put music over, how to do voice overs, correct settings for audio and viewing, how to add effects like what top RUclipsr do
Great video thank you :)
I use restream it's awesome, they have a awesome on screen chat that includes FB chat, having issues with FB though currently.
Thanks this really helps!
What mic are you using.. it sounds great
could you please show a how to video on how to stream from your phone to obs? or what is the best to use when screen mirroring from phone to obs to use overlays and stuff...
Great presentation of restream, I'm only upset about Facebook not natively supported because it is my second target. Facebook live us only possible with custom stream that is a paying option.
thx for this awesome video !!!!
amazing bro u are inspiring!!!
I heard rumors that if you are trying to make income on Twitch you are ONLY allowed to use Twitch. Is that not true? Would this cause issues with that agreement? Edit: Finished the video. Ignore me.
how do you get streamlabs alerts for all of the streaming services? or is it only for twitch and youtube?
Thank you
How to fix common stream issues would be useful thanks :)
i will use, but how about alerts ? i use streamlabs and i think its online configured for twitch
Does this take a toll on your internet or gameplay
Any tips for remembering to unmute your mic? NotLikeThis
Awesome!
Quick question I stream trough mixer light stream I don’t have obs or streamlabs obs, will this work with light stream?
i have my twitch alerts setup through streamlabs and they work fine when streaming to twitch. If im adding youtube and mixer, how will alerts from those platforms work? or how are they set up?
👍 Hopefully this will help grow my audience!
Elgato software has a quick click login for restream as well
Are you aware if the encoder problem has been fixed?? Thanks (Where you change the output from simple to advanced)
I like that when someone subs/tips him the overlay behind the camera changes to red, shows the alert, disappears and the overlay changes to blue again
hey mate love your work

on restream.io can u setup like 3 different viewer counts or multiple alerts on stream to register through like dat twitch n mixer both to have my obs alerted when there n incoming follower from both platforms
is there a way to use and keep track of all the alerts?
