Many different designs for each type of project are also included. For example, there are hundreds of designs ruclips.net/user/postUgkxb2mhCug-GkCWrq69Ce2I0nM0D4QpxAqu for outdoor buildings, from small sheds all the way up to a complete stable. Great job with the video! No annoying background music, no hours of rambling on about nothing, no making the video needlessly long and good explanations. Thanks!
Really enjoyed the video. I just bought a shed and have watched several on building ramps. I found yours the best. Not just the tips or how too, but the down to earth approach. Thanks guys
Thanks for watching and thanks for the nice things you said. I appreciate it. Yep, we'd have a good time hanging out. I'd treat you to an East Tennessee seven course dinner.... A six pack and a possum. Ha! Glad the video helped out. Good luck on your project!
Nice video, guys! The only changes I would make is replacing the pressure treated plywood with decking boards. Also, in my area, I'd be afraid of termites working their way up the vertical stakes you put into the ground, so I would just leave out the stakes. After using a flimsy ramp all of those years, I bet your Dad was blown away by what you did for him. Great job!
Great you did this for your Pop I have grown boys and I am disabled my sons help me out a lot. Bless you for helping your dad. Great video as well ! Im subscribing !
Thank you for making this so simple! I’m a single lady who does all my own carpentry work but really have no idea what I’m doing! You made my ramp build super easy! Awesome video!
Thank you for this video! Even without the "money shot", you can tell it's good and sturdy. You definitely made it simple to follow and as a female, I feel more than confident to take on this project and build a ramp for my own shed!
great job boys.big bro, let little bro talk some. and let us see, you do some of the work too. pa must be mighty proud of you guys. u guys showing pop much love. I'am 68. gonna try to build (using ur directions) one so I can get in and out the 🏠 using my chair. pa is so blessed to have u guys. thanks for the video.
Man, you are just such a lovely fella! Few more like you in this world and we wouldn't be in anywhere near the amount of shit that we're in now. Best wishes my friend. Eddie
you're hilarious! Your brother is a good guy for digging that trench and drilling, etc. Nice ramp, I hope your dad will appreciate (or did appreciate) it.
"That plywood, it's going to be slick as a minnow's dick." I almost spit out my coffee! One tip I heard on another video, that you only need 1 screw per each inch of wood. So a 2x4 you only need to fasten with 2 screws at its end. Anyway, thanks for a good video. I have to build an inexpensive but functional ramp. This should do the trick.
Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate the compliments! Your advice is sound on the lag bolts. You're right, there was not a lot to attach to so I had to put em where I could get em, but I agree with what you are saying. Stay tuned, gonna crank out more vids soon.....
I think decking boards would be a lot better than the plywood. You could just space those an inch or so to allow water to drain easier and also for added traction. It's amazing how brothers get along better when they grow up. Great video.
Excellent Video !! I learned a great deal from your video, and being from Canada and I just loved listening to you speak. You need a show on the DIY (Do It Yourself) channel.
Christine Tabler Thanks! I appreciate the kind words. I haven't gotten the HGTV call yet but I'm still waiting. Wait, do I talk funny or do you.... Ha!
There had ti be an older ramp. No normal person can lift that lawn tractor into that shed. Thats a nice ramp. I had to add a ramp to my shed and it turned out really nice
Great Job...I like the way 'WE" built the ramp but Da Da was doing all the work...I guess every job needs a good 'super'...Thanks for all the great info you have been sharing with the 'Tub Group'...I did not know that about a minnow!!!!
hey and some guy were commenting on "southern expressions" a little farther down the page. heres one for you my grandpa used to say - yankees is funny people sometimes, they aint like us regular americans you know. i love that one. :):)
"Here, hold my beer and watch THIS!" Good video! I'm thinking I'd take that plywood off and put real deck boards across that with cleats for traction. .
Props for the vid! It finally helped me figure out something I was stuck with. I haven't started with Hyezmar's Woodworking Bible yet, but I googled and downloaded it. Good luck!
good video guys my shed got started today so I have to build a ramp for my Motorcycle to be able to dtive in this weekend and got some great ideas on how to from your video

Hey Fed, Your vids are great, you keep me laughing. On Ledger/Header to Rim Joist, it's best to stagger your lags, this will keep the Ledger/Header from splitting. I know you did not have much of a rim joist to anchor too though. Nice job, keep the vids coming...
I don't see any reason why you'd have to build a concrete ramp. Then you get into laying block and all kinds of expense. I'd definitely beef it up a little if it's that high but what I would consider doing is setting some posts like you would do building a porch or deck stairs. Set em in concrete and build off of that. Don't make it so steep that you bottom out going up it! Good luck!
Great Video!! I am getting ready to replace my plywood (top of my ramp) for about the Third time in 10 Years. And I Will Definitely Be using Your technique of putting the “straps” across the top of the plywood to avoid the slickness this time around!! I’m Also going to paint mine with Exterior Barn Paint in Hopes that it will last a lot Longer than my previous 2 Ramos have lasted. My shed has an aluminum door frame along the bottom of the floor, that has been a COMPLETE pain in My ass since the first time I Ever loaded my tractor into my shed!! The mower deck keeps getting caught in the aluminum Frame, and tonight I pulled my lower back out, trying to physically lift the back end of my tractor up over the aluminum threshold. 🤦🏼♀️. So I definitely need to rethink how to raise the thickness of my ramp up this time around, to Avoid this from continuously happening!! If I remove the threshold, My Doors won’t have anything to shut securely against. If Anyone else has had this problem, and knows how to resolve it, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
I wish you would have shown what you mean by "filler strips" because dealing with the door issue is one of the biggest problems with shed ramps and I'm trying to figure that out.
Very helpful, building something similar on a high elevated shed, great idea with the strips on ramp ! dumb question, I have spare shingles, would it be dumb or look stupid to screw them onto the ramp to help it not be so slippery ?? I live in Pittsburgh area and it always rains.. Thank you
tack on a few asphalt shingles laying flat. good grip even if they are wet. good job but i think you should have come built one on my shed for practice before you did that one. :):)
You could still end up injured slipping on the wet wood. Instead of the strips on the ramp, try using asphalt/ tar paper. Nice and grippy for walking or riding and smooth.
Have you thought of using decking boards rather than the 4x8 plywood? I used the plywood on my first shed ramp 1998 and fell several times evan with treads.I think the decking boards may drain water off better and not be so slick. I am putting my 3,000 lbs walleye boat in a 16x30 wood floor shed. The ramp will be 12 foot wide. Love you video. We communicate the same way and understand you.
Jim Lanning Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate it! I agree with your suggestion. Looking back I believe that would have worked out better. Good luck on yours!
Now this is a project I could not find in Woody Hyezmar’s Woodworking Bible. Yet there’s something very similar to it. If you google his name, I still think you can download it for free.
Actually if you put the bevel up against the header board you will have the angle of the cut. No need to hold you stock against the board both the leading & trailing edges of the bevel are parallel to each other.
1985 called.... It wants its drill back😁 Just kidding. Where are you guys from? I grew up north of Asheville, NC and I swear you sound like mountain folk.... listening to you actually made me home sick.
SLICKER THAN "SNOT ON A DOORKNOB" Get a drill with a clutch and put a socket on it to drive those bolts in. (RIDGID COMBO KIT) "GUARANTEED FOR LIFE" INCLUDES BATTERIES. Thats what I have since 2004. Has been traded out for new 2 times. (FREE)

"Fastenin Power". Love it. Country brothers workin together for dad. Heck Yeah! great job guys!
Ha!
Slick as a minnows dick is the funniest thing I've heard all day. Great work on the ramp for your Pop!
Dennis McCamley Ha! You like that one, huh. :-)
Nice video, guys! The only changes I would make is replacing the pressure treated plywood with decking boards. You are country as hell.... but I completely appreciate you sharing this video. I'm now ready to build my ramp. Thanks very much...
Outstanding! Glad you got something out of the video. Thanks for watching. Good luck on your project and lemme know how it turns out.

Super great helper there, Feddie...worth his weight in gold!
Yes!!!
Hi Guys. Thank you for making & posting this video. (Kids helping their dad. Awesome. The Lord [Bible] honors that). God Bless.

Thanks for the compliments! I appreciate you watching. Yeah, those metal ramps scare me every time I see something go up them. Be careful!
I've watched a dozen or two of your videos. Great stuff. Y'all need a show on TV somewhere. Its good entertainment and educational. Thanks Man!
Out of all the videos, your's was the most common sense way about building a good strong ramp. Thanks!
Husband and I are attaching a ramp to our deck.. so thanks for the info on making it simple...
jeffner28 Excellent. Glad it helped out. Good luck!
Good to see brothers working together.👍
Man, you are just such a lovely fella! Few more like you in this world and we wouldn't be in anywhere near the amount of shit that we're in now. Best wishes my friend. Eddie
I have to build a ramp for my shed, you gave me good ideas on how to do that...I really appreciate the video you guys!! It helps!
That looks solid as hell! Love it!
you're hilarious! Your brother is a good guy for digging that trench and drilling, etc. Nice ramp, I hope your dad will appreciate (or did appreciate) it.
I learned a lot from this. It looks like it will be there longer than the shed. Thanks a bunch.
Thanks for watching. Glad it helped out!

Skateboard Tape should do the trick to keep from slipping off. You can leave the furring strips in place too. Awesome thoughts and a great video!
Great tip!
great video. joist hangers would speed up the attachment to the ledger board. Would be stronger too.
I think decking boards would be a lot better than the plywood. You could just space those an inch or so to allow water to drain easier and also for added traction. It's amazing how brothers get along better when they grow up. Great video.
Man you seem like a great guy to hang with, and the sayings are funny, Good video thanks for posting, I got the info I needed to build my ramp.
Excellent video!!! Enjoyed watching you boys. Looks really strong. Thanx.
Awesome
Ramp looks really good!
Good job 👍👍
I've been wanting to give this a shot on my single door shed. I think I might be able to actually do this with the help from your video. Thanks.
+Linda Lou Yes!!!
Great video, I plan to do the same on my building.
Ha!
Video looks pretty clear cut, I am getting materials together and see if I can do it. Thanks for a video that even I can understand.
+Samuel Spencer Right on!
Very informative and detailed. Thanks for posting this!
Nice video. I was trying to figure out how to cut my angles and here it is.
There had ti be an older ramp. No normal person can lift that lawn tractor into that shed. Thats a nice ramp. I had to add a ramp to my shed and it turned out really nice
Paint and sand or black grit would be nice but looks great 👍👍👍 I have to build the same thing about the same high too ,so thanks for the idea.
great idea thanks for the video hope your pop loves it.
Nancy Maceachern Thanks, Nancy. I appreciate you watching!
Great job you two. Thanks for the tips. You talk 'funny'. Stop picking on your little brother. Does he talk funny too? ; )
Nice job!
Looks really good. Thanks for sharing.

Now that's funny! It does kinda look like I'm about to say that. Deck boards would look good. It'd be classy. Ha!
***** +10 ! Thx for the video!!
Can't wait for that! Please share videos of that process, if you get a chance.
Props for the vid! It finally helped me figure out something I was stuck with. I haven't started with Hyezmar's Woodworking Bible yet, but I googled and downloaded it. Good luck!
good video and sweet ramp. Right now I am using the metal ramps (taking them on and off) when I need the mower and driving me crazy.

Feddie, if my barn already has a 2x6 joist at the door can I just hang my 2x6 ramp joists from that? In other words, Why do I need a ledger board?
Great job

Outstanding vid. Thanks to you both for the effort.
You are HILARIOUS!!! Great videos! Money Shot! I think I peed a little when you said that!
Your brother reminds me if JB in the movie American Made
Good video! nice job on the editing!
Good video guys, just picked up a like and a new sub

Paint the ramp and sprinkle some sand in the paint. Works great.

I've tried those Headlocks, made to be driven..don't stop..when installing..
How did you know how far down to rack your ledger board? I didn’t see you test the door to make sure they open and close good.
perfect friend
Actually if you put the bevel up against the header board you will have the angle of the cut. No need to hold you stock against the board both the leading & trailing edges of the bevel are parallel to each other.

Great video, I learned quite a bit! Oh, I’m still laughing at your “slicker than a minner’s dick!” 🤣🤣🤣

How'd the tractor get in and out before the ramp??
At the prices today, this ramp would cost pert-near$500.00. lol Thank you, Sniffy Joe.
Awesome thank u😂💯
