To that end, you can't keep someone in a room when they don't want to be. She actually does have the right to physically try to get out, whether that be hitting you or pushing you. You are the one who stepped in to prevent her from leaving. That being said, in general, I'm of the mindset that if anyone starts swinging on you, you can hit them. I don't really like the idea of hitting women, but I don't see the difference between hitting a 120 lb woman vs hitting a 120 lb man. They're the same size, and they can pose the same amount of threat to you. That being said, just hit them once. Not knowing the whole story I can't say if he did the right thing. But I have 4 sisters and growing up I can't count how many times they slapped me, punched me, or kicked me in the nuts. Staying calm just made them even more psycho. Finally when I was about 16 and one of my sisters was having an out of the blue hormone meltdown and slapped me I gave her a full force pummeling. Everybody else freaked out for a second, but none of them ever put a hand on me again. Sometimes you have to teach your sister that if she wants to start shit she'll regret it.

He hit her and she stopped the tantrum whether deserved or not that she was throwing , she went and slept and that is the best thing that could've happened . She could've gonna driven her car drunk or in rage and had an accident , or she could've kept fighting and saying hurtful things that you can't get back from , so you put an end to the show . Not knowing the whole story I can't say if he did the right thing. But I have 4 sisters and growing up I can't count how many times they slapped me, punched me, or kicked me in the nuts. Staying calm just made them even more psycho. Finally when I was about 16 and one of my sisters was having an out of the blue hormone meltdown and slapped me I gave her a full force pummeling. Everybody else freaked out for a second, but none of them ever put a hand on me again. Sometimes you have to teach your sister that if she wants to start shit she'll regret it.
