That was an amazing experience, Jess. You were a natural and should be proud of yourself. When the cows saw you coming they thought, not a n'udder one. I love the way that the cow knew where to go and what to expect.
What an invaluable experience. This will help you all so much back home. Care of your farm creatures, the tenderness shown in all regards, be it in moving them, handling them and even milking them, is so very important on a small holding. Can't wait to see what you have when you are home. Full time job, even with them as pets. Stay well and happy.
Took me back that did. Fetching the cows in to suckle the calfs twice a day. The cousin would milk one to give the cats some milk. He would fire some milk at me if was not watching him. They were great times. Being around abd interacting with animals is a blessing.
I agree it's such a blessing to be able to work/ care for animals and love them. That's funny he would get you with the milk! Thank you for your love 🤍 Jess x
Wonderful pasture, beautiful cows, great milking skills, fantastic video. Thank you so much. When I was child I milked cows in exactly that way. Happy memories,
My mother was born in Devon and when she was younger her and her sister would milk the single cow they had. it is great to have had the chance to do these things. More wonderful memories to take back.
Bravo ! What an interesting experience. Being in the beautiful English countryside, alongside those cows, and having the opportunity to milk them must have been really special. You both did a great job. My own reservation would be doing the milking routine in winter and having to get up at some ungodly hour. Cheers ! Sheffield South Yorkshire.
Thank you, friend. It was such a beautiful day with lovely animals. Learning to milk has been something we've wanted to learn how to do. We are so tickled that we got to experience that here in England. We appreciate your kindness and support! 🤍 Jess x
You can get raw milk from Church Farm, Colston which is a few miles west of Norwich. It's not far from Hingham, where Abraham Lincoln's ancestors came from.
@@DaydreamersBarn Hingham has the most delicious tea shop, with mouth watering cakes! They also have the history of the Lincoln's family There's also a little Antique shop, just around in the passageway...We go every year, sometimes more...
My school, when I was 11; had me milk a cow, inspect a pig sty 🤢and then, without telling us, had us all link hands and find out about electric fencing. 😡
Milk in teat, cut off milk between finger and thumb. Squeeze with remaining fingers to empty. Open finger and thumb etc and repeat, you dont have to pull down as hard
That takes me back back for the first 18 years of my life I lived on a farm and my fathers job was herdsman. Starting originally milking cows by hand then eventually with machines. Though milking 60 to 90 cows by hand would have taken all day!!!
Gosh, what an adventure today Are you thinking of getting a few cows when you return to the US? Fresh milk, cheese, cream, new laid eggs as well. You could start your own farm shop. Thanks for some great videos recently.
Oh, so glad you have enjoyed the adventures recently! I'm excited for next week's videos as well. Yes, friend we are thinking of some coos, sheep, pigs and chickens. I want to be a small farm with lots of flowers. Thank you for coming along with us. 🤍 Jess x

Shouldn't they really be called Rum and Raisin? And was it sun up or sun down?
Chris, don’t give up your day job.
Did you notice the ear tags? Most farm animals in the UK have to be tagged even llamas, alpacas and vicuna!
We did and that's great to know. Thank you friend 🤍 Jess x
