I remember when i was a kid (around 5 years old) and i didn't know how to speak english. But i could understand the entire story. Great game, best memories
I like Option C the most, but I think this is the most canonic ending, it just feels poetic to Michael's character to me. He starts by faking his death in the beginning and then truly dies in the end. And Franklin dropping the quote that Michael tells him after saving him from the butcher place, only to fully recognize what it means after his death, I think really completes his character. A massive lucky streak, his kid is growing up and going to college, he is finally repairing the family, only for karma, for all the terrible things he has done to come back and hit him hard. I love a good ending, but this bad ending just seems right to me.
It, actually is in the contract DLC in the first mission if you go through the move studio frank will say "I knew one of the producers here, and shit I hope his ass ain't at work today. Also Trevor is probably alive because one of your agency staff will say this "Some crazy dude came through today, said he worked with Mr.Clinton and almost pooped on the desks" kinda sounds like trevor ngl
@@ssoup5 You... you realize that Deathwish is the canon ending, right? Every piece of evidence in GTA Online supports this, including Franklin's comments in "The Contract."

"Look you may not understand it right now but you will one day" - Michael. Franklin having to make a choice like michael did when he got tied up with the feds
Im glad someone understood & the fact he uses the "You cant keep running and you legs just give in" - Michael to Franklin "You cant keep running and you legs just give in" - Franklin to Lamar
From watching these, option C is definitely the best. I did C and I was kind of regretting it cause it's kind of a cop out option without having to kill anyone, but there's no redeeming stuff about killing either of them you just feel like crap.
Would've been an awesome epilogue to Michael's death if you could play as Trevor and Jimmy tracking Franklin down, fight the GS Families to get to him, and Trevor deal with Frank in typical Trevor fashion. Obviously, giving you the option to play as either Trevor and Jimmy or Franklin and Lamar. Whichever two you play as would've been the selectable protagonists as a result.
I picked Option C a long time ago but man I feel so bad when one of them gets killed just sad. But now playing with Michael this makes me want to hang out with Amanda and Jimmy more 😂
The realest part is that even when Franklin tried to helped Michael up but heads buds him he didn’t think about the kids or Amanda the coldest way to died
The most shocking part about this is the fact Weston kept his promise and actually called off Steve Haines. Would've been more funny and fitting if he winded up conning Franklin and he spends the rest of the game being permanently on a 3 star wanted level.
Trevor ive noticed always bullys people who are scared of him, and is out to end anyone who think theyre above him. But anyone who believes themselves equal to him, he respects
Yeah, but Michael comes to regret that very quickly. He doesn’t want to talk to Franklin afterward because he needs time to process. Trevor meant more to him than he ever cared to admit.
Yes but Micheal regrets that, when you switch to his character he wakes with a gun in his hand after having a nightmare (he used to do this before too but it will stop when you choose option C) and he also blocks Franklin on his phone.
Michael had to choose one or the other. Either Franklin or Trevor, but he didn't want either. In the end, Michael does break down as a character, getting nightmares, pushing Franklin away, all that
"...I guess we was friends because he weren't perfect and neither am I." Damn dog. Is it possible to say you straight up murdered him any more clearly than that?
Option C is obviously the best but I usually go for the other two because they seem like more realistic decisions and an outcome where these objectively evil characters dont get let off the hook to win everything at the end. Red Dead Redemption series has two unforgiving endings where the characters die at the end and those games have always carried more emotional weight for me, so it feels kind of lame to me that they don't force a tough decision in GTA 5.
Because GTA series always has a different tone than RDR. GTA games are supposed to be funny and edgy, with comically badass protagonists, dirty jokes, political satire etc. Even the death of key characters usually gets glossed over. There’s no tears, no music, no outbursts of rage, only swearing. RDR games are more serious since they are inspired by Western films centering around themes such as tradition VS modernity, man VS society, man VS nature…etc.
@@svyalinirnhut890 Sure, but GTA 5's C ending is basically a happy fairy tale where the protagonists take out all the antagonists at once without any consequences. The other gtas had a sadder ending than GTA 5's option C: Tommy Vercetti had to kill Lance after everything they'd been through together. CJ had to kill Big Smoke, who was his childhood best friend. And Niko, regardless of the choice he makes at the end of the game, someone he loves dies at the end. While in GTA 5 the protagonists don't lose anyone important in the end and end up 100% happy, and that's not at all realistic for a story about 3 criminals GTA 5 has my favorite story of all GTAs, but honestly, it has the worst ending of all
It is so weird to see people praise Trevor for being loyal because that is probably his only redeeming trait. The dude is straight up evil and psychotic.
I will go with option c. It is best not to kill Michael or Trevor so Franklin, Michael, and Trevor can hangout with Jimmy and each other. What would happen to Michael's family if Michael dies during the final mission? Why won't Jimmy hangout with Trevor when Michael dies? Lamar can't hangout with Trevor when Michael dies. Jimmy and Trevor can't hangout with Franklin when Michael dies. Will Michael's family still be on the game when Michael dies? What would happen to Michael's house when Michael dies? What would happen to Amanda when Michael dies? What would happen to Jimmy and Tracey when Michael dies? Jimmy can hangout with Franklin when Trevor dies. Jimmy can't hangout with Michael when Trevor dies. Franklin and Michael can hangout or not hangout with each other when Trevor dies. Ron emails Michael when Trevor dies and Michael asks him is this a span and Michael tells him not to contact him again. Amanda emails Franklin that he hopes he rots in hell she knew he had something to do with Michael's death, and tells him to stay away from her and her family. I'm not sure what would happen to Michael's family when Michael dies. Trevor actually does care about Michael even though what Michael did to him.
I knew it! That’s why the REAL players would only choose Ending C! For me, I can’t put myself into this, I just can’t and don’t want to kill both Michael and Trevor, I want them survive and live happily! So that’s why I always choose Ending C no matter how many times I play GTA V! And here’s the quote for all of us: You forget thousands of things everyday, make sure ending A and B are included!
I am actually disappointed that they didn't do the original idea where Franklin actually dies during the Death Wish mission and is replaced by Lamar. That's actually a pretty fitting end.. Especially when it came time for Michael, Trevor, and Lamar to get revenge.
Honestly they should’ve had 4 endings because I like Franklin so to have ending C be him die instead of everyone lives would’ve been sad and disappointing just like seeing Michael and Trevor die
Idk if y’all caught on but what Franklin said to Lamar about not being able to run anymore, is the exact same quote Michael said to Franklin when he was trying to explain to him why he betrayed Trevor. And he told frankin “you’ll understand one day” shit came full circle.
Anyone feel free to correct me. In GTA Online, both Franklin and Trevor show up, as well as Lester. Does Michael ever show up for jobs or heists? It is making me believe that this ending, since Online happens after the main story, is the actual cannon ending.
C is the canon ending. Trevor is met later on in Online, then so is Franklin. In an Online mission with Franklin he mentions how he knows one the producers at Vinewood. Michael became a producer in the middle of the Story.
That's why, every time I play this game and play the story mode (as many times as I've played it) I always choose option C. Not just for the canonicity of the ending, but because it is too sad to kill Michael and Trevor. In the cutscene, before Franklin points the gun at him and starts the chase, Michael talks to Amanda on the phone. She tells him that Tracey is going to college. This shows that Michael's family life has changed and is back to normal. This option makes Franklin a dirty traitor and liar, denying to everyone (or almost everyone) that he wasn't the one who killed Michael. This also applies to Trevor's death. Subsequently Michael, after Trevor's death, he regrets killing Trevor. In fact, Michael no longer wants to continue being Franklin's friend. Their friendship will end. This shows us that he regrets killing him, because Trevor was his best friend and even though Michael betrayed Trevor, he saved his life from the FIB, Merryweather and forgave him. Michael once again betrayed his one and only best friend (However, this ending is not canon). This is why option C is the right one, both because it is canonical, but above all because Franklin in these 2 endings will be seen as a traitor and we will feel like villains.
There was going to be an option where Franklin dies, and Lamar will replace him, but Lamar's voice actor got into legal trouble, and they had to scrap that idea.
Michael is my favourite character of all 3, I never ever killed him in any of my playthroughs.. Always option C :) btw, I never knew that Franklin would be such a big liar if you choose this ending..
I have a queston. How do you get to the alternate ending? Bc every time I go with option B, nothing happens. It just shows Michael's house for sale with the family gone. How do you get to this part?
Nah honestly michael is the worst gta 5 protagonist imo, I don’t hate him and he’s far from my least favourite protagonist but he’s my least favourite protagonist from gta v.
If you tryna creep on me do it better then that ! It would have been cool if as Trevor there was a bonus mission where you could slide for Michael that would have been fire 🔥
Trevor usually uses abbreviations and slang in ways that don't fully make sense in the context of today's youth, this is to further illustrate that he tries to be "cool" or down to earth but is still very much an old psychopath

I just said it's was the most logical and real life type response to that situation instead of murdering about 5 very protected ppl that isn't how the world works you don't just kill a member of the fib a chinesse mob boss and a gang member and just walk free haha and mike was a snake from the start since his whole plan wad to kill trevor and leave with the money
@@stheulp5 I think bh5073 is more so talking about how unrealistic endng C is, I dont think he is arguing on whether or not its canon. I think he's critisizing the fact that ending C is so unambiguously the best ending that it feels comical and how it lacks the consequential weight of the other two endings.
I like how the game basically punishes you for killing Michael.
If you killed either of them you be locking yourself from 100% game, since there some activities exclusive to one of the protagonists
yup. the strangers and freaks missions.
you only need to finish franklin's strangers and freaks
Trevor and Michael aren't counted for 100%. Although, you do need them for the spirit of 100%.

Death wish is the canon ending, it was confirmed in GTA online

That’s cause he felt like he had no other options. He immediately changed perspective when they thought of a plan that could save them both.
@@chuxety fair point
if you choose this you are the traitor buddy, canon F chose deathwish
When Trevor was texting Franklin that must be so scary trying to plead your case to a psycho lol
From watching these, option C is definitely the best. I did C and I was kind of regretting it cause it's kind of a cop out option without having to kill anyone, but there's no redeeming stuff about killing either of them you just feel like crap.
I'll go with option C hearing Devin Weston plead for his life is music to my ears 🤣🤣🤣
Whichever two you play as would've been the selectable protagonists as a result.
jimmy??? playable??? what the hell
Bro I will only choose c now
I picked Option C a long time ago but man I feel so bad when one of them gets killed just sad. But now playing with Michael this makes me want to hang out with Amanda and Jimmy more 😂
lol
Ending C is Canon to the Gta 5 timeline.
Seeing Michael dead kinda breaks my heart, he was so real to Franklin
The realest part is that even when Franklin tried to helped Michael up but heads buds him he didn’t think about the kids or Amanda the coldest way to died
The most shocking part about this is the fact Weston kept his promise and actually called off Steve Haines.
Would've been more funny and fitting if he winded up conning Franklin and he spends the rest of the game being permanently on a 3 star wanted level.
Trevor ive noticed always bullys people who are scared of him, and is out to end anyone who think theyre above him. But anyone who believes themselves equal to him, he respects
Only person Trevor proudly acknowlages above him is our Online characters
Michael ain’t no better! He helped Franklin kill Trevor but Trevor didn’t help… that’s cold man
Another reason to choose Michael.
@@jekanikuiani5389 bruh you really hates Michael huh?
Yeah, but Michael comes to regret that very quickly. He doesn’t want to talk to Franklin afterward because he needs time to process. Trevor meant more to him than he ever cared to admit.
Yes but Micheal regrets that, when you switch to his character he wakes with a gun in his hand after having a nightmare (he used to do this before too but it will stop when you choose option C) and he also blocks Franklin on his phone.
Michael had to choose one or the other. Either Franklin or Trevor, but he didn't want either. In the end, Michael does break down as a character, getting nightmares, pushing Franklin away, all that
"...I guess we was friends because he weren't perfect and neither am I."

I'm just glad C IS the canon choice. I wonder if we'll get an ending like that for 6??
While in GTA 5 the protagonists don't lose anyone important in the end and end up 100% happy, and that's not at all realistic for a story about 3 criminals
GTA 5 has my favorite story of all GTAs, but honestly, it has the worst ending of all
@@GTA-RDRverse2.0Deathwise is the canon ending

When Trevor texts “So you did it? “
I get CHILLSSSSS lol
It is so weird to see people praise Trevor for being loyal because that is probably his only redeeming trait. The dude is straight up evil and psychotic.
It looks like they dont understand these three characters are all fucked up and how it impacts their relationship towards one another
I will go with option c. Trevor actually does care about Michael even though what Michael did to him.
its not that deep gangy
The real reason why I choose c ending is because I love main characters so much that I don't want to kill them
What did I just read
Real GTA Players will choose Ending A LONG LIVE THE LOST
Amen
Agreed
Trevor is an actual loyal friend
No all three of them are equal
If option C didn't exist, I would have never finished the game

Jimmy : My dad is dead... my dad
Trevor : Well.. I never had a father

When Franklin asked Michael to help him he was in on it. But when Franklin asked Trevor he declined.
The Michael route it just hurts
Micheal regrets it though. He blocks Franklin and doesn’t even hang out with him.
Michael waking up in the hospital be like: “that motherf-…”
After Franklin leaves Michael
Michael: BACK FROM THE DEAD BABY
3:30 nooooo! Last words of micheal
I am actually disappointed that they didn't do the original idea where Franklin actually dies during the Death Wish mission and is replaced by Lamar. That's actually a pretty fitting end.. Especially when it came time for Michael, Trevor, and Lamar to get revenge.
It maybe Got cut bcs THEY wanted to See what GTA online can do
@Happy.Thoughts. Trevor and Michael are alive in GTA Online and you can still kill them.
@@squarepicklebecause C is the canon ending
Honestly they should’ve had 4 endings because I like Franklin so to have ending C be him die instead of everyone lives would’ve been sad and disappointing just like seeing Michael and Trevor die
They could of added that one as the fourth ending
Idk if y’all caught on but what Franklin said to Lamar about not being able to run anymore, is the exact same quote Michael said to Franklin when he was trying to explain to him why he betrayed Trevor. And he told frankin “you’ll understand one day” shit came full circle.
Anyone feel free to correct me. In GTA Online, both Franklin and Trevor show up, as well as Lester. Does Michael ever show up for jobs or heists? It is making me believe that this ending, since Online happens after the main story, is the actual cannon ending.
Franklin will mention Michael in few occasions. He knows someone from the film industry yara yara...
@@InsertNameOrSomethingElse Oh yeah? Its hard to get that heist line because hardly anyone does it. When he said it, does he use said contact?
C is the canon ending. Trevor is met later on in Online, then so is Franklin. In an Online mission with Franklin he mentions how he knows one the producers at Vinewood. Michael became a producer in the middle of the Story.
C IS canon.
Trevor goes to Franklin's house.
Also Trevor,
Trevor: What, you here to take me out too?
A and B endings are so sad, I'm glad that I chose C, and always will. This is the first time I see an ending where one of them dies and I wanna cry. 😭
Growing up is understanding Trevor was the realest in this game
Yea. He was Better than Micheal charachter wise
I remember that thing where option C was yourself, so you had no good option
There was going to be an option where Franklin dies, and Lamar will replace him, but Lamar's voice actor got into legal trouble, and they had to scrap that idea.
@@deft_spex_jr9628 Lamar should of been the fourth character tbh

The one of the best thing about GTA V is there is an option C for us.
I can't lose any of them. 😢
Most people who done ending A or B were just experimenting, who likes playing without a third character?
Ending C is so much longer and more satisfying it makes A and B feel like extras.
Jimmy's voice actor did amazing work.
I have a queston. How do you get to the alternate ending? Bc every time I go with option B, nothing happens. It just shows Michael's house for sale with the family gone. How do you get to this part?
