Yes, it's dIfficult to say it's because of this method or from the efficiency from the music video users. All I know is adding as much metadata as possible makes it easier to connect the royalties to you so it can't hurt to add it.
Thank you for your honest reply...I also have another question. Who collects the rpyalties once the ISRC code is embedded into the video?..My distribution is Distrokid. But they dont have the new ISRC code for the video..only for audio...Who would we collect those royalties from?..Thanks again!

I tried using VLC (the latest version i.e. version 3+) and I clicked on save Metada but when I re-opened the file, all the data I had entered was gone. I then right clicked on the file itself and went to properties and I was able to add track details as well as the ISRC code.

It's basically a video identifier (ID code) for your video. Depending on where you're submitting, they ask for the ISRC code to be embedded or they ask for it as part of their submission. It's also good practice to add all the correct info in your video. Makes it easier for your royalties to get back to you.

I made the song on logic and paid for Soundcloud and uploaded it and I made the video on iMovie and video & uploaded it to RUclips now what ? I got the isrc code

installing VLC added some compression audio limiter to my PC. So now when ever I play music in VLC or Media player the music starts out at the normally volume but after the first second of sound it goers quiet. Don't install VLC cause it will screw up your PC's audio playback.
You can disable the compressor on VLC but it should be disabled by default. I've never experienced what you're talking about though across 5 systems. So might be something with your system or soundcard or audio interface.

Hi, no you can't. It's pretty difficult to track in SA music video use. Still looking for an easily accessible service myself.

For audio files yes. But the video (and other audio visual files)have their own code.

You can't add them after the fact. You could add it to the description but I'm not too sure if it'll register through the system.

In some cases. Capasso for example tracks for you and they have the ISRC code of the video. Similar with RAV.
