Hey chief what do you mean water filters by hook base…. I’m in my truck now for a 10 and while I was sleep a thunderstorm came and now mines is doing the same and I smell the wires…. I’m no where near a shop
@@carlosortega6048 checked from the pins all the way to the connectors of the harnesses. The clear connector (i dont know what its called) by the clutch burned out due to corrosion. Its the harness that has the blue wire coming from the back. Fixed the connector and no lights. Mechanic said it might be the SAM chassis which he still hasn't replaced. I should've done it myself. If that doesn't fix my light issue which is that i have no trailer lights what could it be?

My tail lights are din but staying on, everything I've found is showing the sam chassis, but I like a 2nd opinion
Did you have to program the sam chassis after you put it in.
Sometime happen because,the Sam chassis connection wet. The water filters by hook base,checking that and may be don't need change Sam chassis.

Will this cause the trailer lights to not work? Going to replace this tomorrow.
Yes this module will control truck and trailer lights but before u replace it u need to be 100 % sure that this is your problem

Latest gen ftl water leaks in I'd/ visor lights in and down A pillar fries Sam chassis.
Rub on that is three different lights. Same wire big wire and no wire , for light hook up.
How has your truck been holding up with the water proofing after that silicon treatment?

I replaced mine and didnt reprogram it. It worked fine for a year. Just started having issues again so maybe another issue.
