Freightliner needs to put the PNDB on saftey recall. If this part shuts the truck down while traveling down the road that's a hazard and saftey issue

Freightliner is known for leaky windshield. Probably the water makes its way down to the PDM from behind the dash
I had the same problem for my truck
I would turn off the truck but the clearance lights would stay on for some minutes and kills the battery. I had to change it and the new ones look totally different but it works well. Good observation

I am having this driving shut down problem and probably need this part.. like you, I wanted to know what was causing it and why it happened.. will take extra precautions to seal this unit up.. silicon or something similar to keep all the water out should give extra life and prevent a repeat situation.. thanks again

Well, there you have it. Get yourselves a tube of silicone glue and start sealing the PDM before water gets in
The problem is water from the windshield if the one on your truck is under the dash.
That don't work. Ive had to change two out

Buen video brother eso tiene un nombre no laves el motor con precion de agua el truck wash se queda en una equina con esa precion de agua y el selló no aguanta agua a esa precion y falla
I just had this problem and when i touch the thick red wire on the lefy of the box it does that clicking sound and i loose all power to the truck. The power loss problem started after i hit a pothole so i guess smthng inside that box broke or got loose.
I’ve replaced 3 of the damn boxes in less than 3yrs at 350.00 a pop horrible design from FreightLiner I meant Mercedes Benz..😡

Great video! Question for you. When I turn off my 2015 freighter about a minute later it shuts down all 12v power. My batteries and cables are all good. Can PNDB shut all power off even when truck is not running? It’s like when you turn off disconnect switch but my switch is still on.

Blower y no avienta nada de aire. Lo que note es que el switch que se conecta al
Blower no llega nada de corriente
The one on my truck is failed but only after using the power cut off switch. It cuts off a few times but then stays on. I never turn off my batteries now. I’ve had my truck on for 3 weeks in very cold weather and the batteries stayed over 12v.
Hello! Will the PNDB cause MCM System ID not receiving Stopping or Arriving? My 17 freightliner randomly shut off while driving or idling. PNDB is new replaced.

My Frightliner just failed to start from a truck start after I put diesel .
I checked and replaced some fuses I dint trust ,cleaned my battery’s and later it stated .
I scared to keep driving cause it hasn’t happened again.

Francisco, I have a question for you about a engine rebuild failure after rebuild there was a squeaking squealing sound , tore back down found upper/lower bearing slightly scored - tore down replace, restart same sound - tore back down dont see any issues have you experienced a issue like this before??
the fault that a ddec 13 had is that it does not accelerate and said that the fault code is SPN 625 FMI 8 and the mechanic told me that I had to change the pdm module, it has some relationship if you can help me I would appreciate it

Hello Francisco I got dd13 cascadia 113 2016, my dashboard sometimes goes up and down c every single one on dashboard , then it shows check engine and abs , when I turn off truck and back on , all the check engine and abs comes off, what can cause that ?
Maybe this is why I shouldn’t wash my engine anymore ?? Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
This mostly happens on winter but it is better no to power wash your engine bay.
I had a bad experience in a Freightliner 2015. The accelerator pedal doesn’t work despite its being changed. When the technician checked it the found power and ground but it’s seems there’s no communication with the computer.CPC
Need to fix your cpc4.

For my 2013 freightliner cascadia my pndb box is model a06-75148-011 But i cant find a new one Can i use the 2014 version model number a66-03714-009 the last 3 numbers on the end are 009 and the last 3 numbers on my box is 011 They look exactly the same to me... Anyone know if it is ok to use the other 2014 model pndb box ending in 009 instead of my originial ending in 011. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP

Hello Francisco i don't know where else to ask you this question, so i hope you see this. My 2018 freightliner cascadia wont crank. I replaced the starter 4months ago. I watched your video on pumping the clutch while starting, i tried tapping the starter nothing worked. I ended up calling roadside. Mechanic showed up disconnected negative battery connections for 30sec pumped break paddle 10x connected battery back up, truck started. But now everytime i turn off the engine it wont start back up. What is the problem with the truck? Thanks
I have a 2011 Coronado with a dd15 it turns off and won’t start. Oils be the same problem. I haven’t figured it out yet

Hello, I have a 2019 Cascadia freight liner with DD15 Engine and 390,000 miles on it. When the check engine light turns on, the AC, cruise control, lane keep assistant and diagnostic buttons don’t work. When the check engine light turns off, they start working normally. It has been like this since the time I got it new. It would turn on for 15-30 minutes and be okay after. Then it started happening 2-3 times a day. Now it’s always on and I’m having a tough time. Have any of you guys encountered this before? I’d appreciate some insight or help regarding this matter.

I'm having problem with a dd15 brings as fuel rail pressure low but unplugged the caps and there is fuel...back of the rail there is fuel...filters there is fuel...means fuel pump is good check the fuses batteries starter even starting fluid checked fuses on pndb box and the other fuse box tried a the emc in another truck and started right away means is not the ecm checked with another cpc4 and nothing and still won't even crank or jump start changed the fuel rail pressure sensor and still won't even crank to start 👎 I'll go for the engine harness? 🤔 your videos are very helpful...thanks for letting us know

@Along Wang hello friend i ended up changing all injectors and that fixed the problem about a month and a half ago starts normal now but depends what kind of codes you get from your truck
