I am glad you enjoyed your visit to the Cleburne Railroad Museum, and the layout there. The late Sam Walls amassed the huge collection of model cars and trucks you saw on the layout over a period of years; some of them are indeed very rare. He also made most of the buildings in the downtown area with their fine details. I am currently working on and maintaining the layout. You took some unique camera angles in your video, I see some areas I need to work on some more. Santa Fe 3417 itself weighs 300,950 lb, the tender weighs 233,720 lb, for a combined weight of 534,670 lb. In comparison, the Union Pacific Big Boy weighs nearly twice as much, or roughly a million pounds fully fueled. It has TWO sets of drivers underneath the boiler, each with eight pairs of driving wheels instead of six like the 3417. It is indeed huge, and a must see when it passes through our area. The 3417s drivers are 74 inches in diameter, which enabled it to exceed 100 MPH pulling passenger trains. Thanks for visiting, I was leaving the for the day as you entered the layout room. :) I have more videos of the museum layout and other model train videos on my channel.
Dude! You are doing a great job with this exhibit! I really appreciate all of the time that has been invested in the layout and look forward to a return someday to see it again. I am sorry to have missed you. Thank you for the insider info on the two different layouts as well as the huge numbers on the two different steam locomotives. Feel free to post a link to your channel in this thread.🚂🚂 Thanks so much for watching and subbing!
Thanks I am always looking for new places to visitg and see the model trains you just opened up another future weekend train get away. Have you seen the Rosenberg strain Museum, it has a garden Rail, and a whole bldg. Dedicated to model trains (3) fair sized layouts. As to doing more with trains.. you got my vote. 👍. "Happy Rails". GMan
Pretty cool! I'll be heading that way soon to see Big Boy rolling towards Ft Worth for a static display. We have a huge model train set here in Mineral Wells for you to check out at Clark Gardens. Give me a shout when you stop in and I'll be glad to tell you about a lot of the history on the lay out of it.
SWEET! I wish I had know about the Big Boy touring and had been about to get up that way to see it. I guess I will have to try and chase it down! LOL! I will for sure take you up on visiting the train layout in Mineral Wells when we travel back up that way and thanks for the offer!
@21.36 O guage. HO originally stood for Half O gauge size. The huge space the Dillon depot layout is in helps to absorb the sound, the fact that much of the museum's track uses a plastic roadbed does not help either. Will be watching out for more train videos on your channel.
I will have another train video dropping this Sunday 10AM. The creator was a dedicated operator and worked on his 30x40( i think) HO empire for 35 years! Two massive yards at either end! Thanks for watching and I just gave your channel a sub😎👍
@@DudeRV I saw that, thank you very much. I will be at the Plano Train Show this weekend (come on out if you can, you won't be disappointed), but I will see it on Monday.
Not a model but our favorite RV stop was parking for the night at the Golden Spike Tower in North Platte, NE. The world's largest rail yard. It was on Harvest Hosts.
That used to be the old Central Church of Christ was there in some way for 100 years. I’m glad they found a way to use the building. I have seen those places before but never went in. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. It’s also nice that they clean up the engine at Hulen park and they put a fence around it.
I often think about that. I know I will be building a g-gauge garden railway. We have quite a bit of grade change on our land so a ride on would be a major construction project. Only time will tell! Thanks for watching!

That sound like a very cool place to camp! Thanks for sharing that info and thanks a bunch for watching!
Thank you for an excellent video, it was so good that I do not have to visit.
OH but you really should because a train layout is never finished and the same can be said about museums too. Thanks for watching!

I think you are confused, that was the old Dillon Funeral Home. Sadly the old Central Church of Christ building was demolished a few years ago.
Thanks did not know that. Look like it may be the brick
@@survivingworldsteam I pretty much confused most of the time

What’s with the passenger car being pushed??
Can you do better
