Magik is one of the most complex and heroic characters at Marvel. To truly understand her you have to know about her tragic childhood which is understandably glossed over in this video. Just know that she endured 7 years of horrific abuse and freed herself from a hell dimension. This video states "Magik is a character that has always toed the line between hero and villain" which is just plain wrong. For a character that has been around for over 40 years, her actions are overwhelmingly heroic especially considering that she is an abuse survivor living with PTSD. I would encourage anyone who is interested to please read her comic book stories because to know this character is to love this character.
You should then highlight some of her best stories as a readers pick favourites of Magick.

@@Leonardo_No_Cardio A really good place to start with is the Magik (Illyana and Storm) limited series from 1983. This series follows her seven years trapped in Limbo. Another really important storyline is the crossover series Inferno from 1989. These are the start and end of her original character arc. (Most of the middle bits are in the New Mutants comics)

Magik refused to teach Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel magic in her current comic book run and was at her trial. Very interesting to see them team up again.

I had no idea! This is going to be real fun because I'm buying the game for those two specifically
I absolutely love Magik and her story has helped me process so much in my own life. She is such an underrated sorceress and what a potent story of overcoming and living with trauma, abuse, living through and finding balance with the light and dark, the parts that were taken away so young to grow and let it be a part of your story and your make-up. Her armor and her conquering and consistently battling her demons is a literal embodiment of living with PTSD and surviving abuse, how that darkness can chip away at your light but ultimately becomes something that is your a part of you and your armor and how you come to survive, and therefore is a STRENGTH. I love this character. Let this character shine more!!!

Am I the only one who craves after Anya Taylor Joy ? The movie was meh, but she was born to play Magik ...would be nice to have her scanned in for the game....
A new Mutant who deserve much attention, becouse she is russian, her past have many badthings in Belasco hands, but her link with the New Mutants and Kitty and Cyclops made her one of my favorites XMEN. Also I ship her with Doug Ramsey (Cyphra) and Sunspot.

Magik isn't the type of character Marvel can just drop into the MCU, she would need a solo movie to sell her to non-comic readers. Majik makes Wanda look like an amateur, not only was she trained by Belasco and Dr. Strange she managed to take over an entire dimension. Where Strange had to trick Dormammu she would have fought him to the death, probably his.
She can fight that guy? Can’t Wanda do the same?
@@jon_ovo3653 Wanda drained Dormmammu and his sister of their power using the Eye of Agamotto Vision stole from Dr. Strange then Vision helped take them down while depowered, on her own she wouldn't have been able to beat him. She was his prisoner and about to die at his hands when Vision arrived with the Eye.
@@jon_ovo3653 Belasco and Dormmammu rule their respective Hell Dimensions, essentially they're both versions of Satan and about the same power levels, Majik fought Belsaco for the throne and won hands down, became the Queen of Limbo. If she can beat Belasco, more than once, she can beat Dormmammu.
@@jon_ovo3653 Belasco obviously tried to take his throne back with an army of demons but Majik had the X-Men to counter them and she whupped his ass a second time.

I loved magik in the first New mutant cómics. New interactions are nothing like she original was.
I agree that she's amazing and that she's different now but that's normal. In the OG New Mutants she was a kid but she's now an adult. People grow, they mature, they change. Not to mention she was a kid suffering from untreated PTSD where as an adult, she has been addressing her trauma. I hope this helps explain why she seems different.

@@Viciousotk1 it's complicated but she's the same. You will have to have read the OG Inferno in 1989 and then the story of her return from 2007. She got her soul back at the end of the Zeb Wells New Mutants.

I'm glad we can't romance characters it takes away the narrative of the story and helps us build honest relationships getting to actually know the character and forming bonds with them without worrying about romancing them makes the story real

@@jadenquest9544 thanks alot don't get me wrong I would totally love to romance characters but I feel like in some games some people do that alot and there so focus on having sex with this character or think it would be cute like a meme I don't kinda like how people ship people but I feel while your doing that your missing out on great narrative and story like I said and you get to be apart of that story and adventure like your asking yourself what would it be like if you were in the marvel universe who would you be I'm not talking about being any marvel character I'm talking about being your own character and if you were talking to these people how would they react and feel really but the character we make treat like if it was real life I know it's video game but in real life would you romance this character and is it really about romance or is it really about lust you think this character is hot so you would be with them but in reality would you really I'm not saying you wouldn't hell you too could date but it's like if you get with someone you don't want to be with them for wrong reasons not because there hot because you were actually first friends before you gotten to into relationship you've grown history together and that love that you have for each other or one another goes alot deeper than the body you form those bonds or connections eventually you'll become more than best friends or friends and it's not just how you feel it's also how they feel about you and it's about how you feel about them it's about how you feel about each other not just through looks but getting to know each other like is anything there do you feel something for them do you feel love for them after you known them and your paying attention to there appearance how they look your paying attention on what's on the inside and you want to speak from your heart where your words should come from where it comes from a place of love truth and compassion and the words you are saying those words also are true genuine

Anyone else super disappointed by her outfit in this game? No I am not wanting the “Bewb Window” outfit lol, just one of her more classic badass outfits. The one in this game is generic and boring. No offense Art Design artist, I am sure your hand was forced.
To promote the game it makes sense they use their own outfits especially ones that aren't so risqué, but I expect we get skins from the comics in game as unlocks and rewards
