- Instrument failure caused me to remove the binnacle and I found little detail on how to do this, so decided to try to rectify this along with possibly fixing my problem.
Join me as I work out how to get it apart.
The cruise control had stopped 'Setting' some time ago and I managed to fix that as well. Brief details at 30:30.
Hope someone finds this video useful even if it is 30 minutes long for another 5 minute job.
Please 'LIKE' if you found the video useful as it will help to raise the video up the suggested list and help others. I don't stand to make anything from this as I cannot monetise below 1000 subs anyway.
excellent vid ,thanks
Pleased it was of some use, thanks.
Hey, great video, thanks. Any idea how to reset the service light?
I'm afraid I haven't a clue, beyond taking it to a friendly local garage and asking them to stick their machine on it.
Press and hold the odometer reset button and start the car. Keep the button held in until 'Service now' disappears.
why remove the flying airbag???
As I recall and it's while since I did this, you have to remove it to get to the screws that hold the lower nacelle on the steering column. Having just watched that bit of the video again, I expect you could leave the airbag plugged in, I felt safer with it out of the way.
I have mentioned somewhere that advice I received later, suggested I should not have unplugged it without first disconnecting the battery.
@@twotone3070 You dont have to take airbag off. Just turn steering wheel about 90 degree and you can get to scew - and same on other side!
Another bit of ridiculous design on the Galaxy - absolutely no reason to have so much dismantling just to pop the instrument panel out. Others I have come across - Aircon condenser: you're supposed to drain the cooling system and drop whole radiator assembly. Intercooler needs a load of stuff removed (in both cases I was able to drill/cut away front panel to get access - stupid design). You can't check/top up brake fluid without removing air filter (unless you use a syringe). And you need fingers like ET to change headlight/sidelight/indicator bulbs!
Yes, I had the BREAK warning come on and it was low on fluid, which is not surprising as I couldn't even find the reservoir and so had never been checking. Which I should have done of course.
Can't hear you
At which point? I've taken a look at RUclips settings and I can't see a way to make it louder, sorry about that.
