Jonny, I hate to say it, but I have not had the same experience using the Ozark rig in brush. I find it easy gets wedged up against branches with the way the weight hangs below the bait. I've been rigging it through the top side of the worm, rather than the point of the worms head, so maybe I should try it the later way.
Same, I hung up so frequently I decided to just go back to a Texas rig for brush. I always got the bait back, but by blowing the spot out with the boat and rod tip.
Do you rig the bait with the hook all the way through the plastic and then skin hooking it? If so, I would recommend just burying the hook into the plastic. The Ozark rig is built around a jig hook. So unlike an EWG style hook that has the hook point running back toward the eye of the hook, the Ozark rig’s hook point is pointed up. This makes it hard to skin hook (hook comes out and gets hung up) but it also means you can easily drive the hook through the plastic on a hook set if you just bury it into the bait and not go all the way through when rigging it.
Good information, would like to know for the basstrix when, where and how you would fish it. I assume more like a worm and popping it up and down off the bottom. Still trying to understand for time of year what to be throwing.
I haven’t used the panorama in this way with the ozark rig head, but I’ve used it in brush with similar success rigging it on a belly weighted or keel weighted screw lock swimbait hook. Adjust the weight for your needs. Tube same way.
Jonny, The Ozark Rig has caught me hundreds of LM bass this year. Two minnow style baits that work for me: BBB Jerk Minnow 5" (smoke MF pearl color) and Jackall Rhythm Wag 3.8" on a 1/8oz 4/0 hook. Most of the fish hit it on the fall but I also catch them with a slow crank back in. If you rig the bait straight the bait will move side to side like a fluke. My best bait for the Rig is a BPS Stick-O 6" worm. I would like to see a paint color to match these shad colored baits, hint.
The Ozark rig is perfect for the Panorama. But i made resin masters of the Panorama and made silicone molds to inject my own. I really despise the company.
the basstrix works great on a hover rig, but will glide on the fall. On the Ozark rig, it will actually wobble back and forth on the fall. Both hooks work great, just give the bait a different action on the fall
He has come out with two amazing rigs that have been dominant this year. So if you're not paying attention to his new inventions then ok. But I'll keep an eye out even though this isn't my favorite. And pay attention to his off shore info.
Lunker City Slugg Os do great on an Ozark rig too!
Good stuff right here! I can tell this will catch me some bass!
Get baits, info and tips thanks bud for sharing it 👍🏻🎣

Love the Ozark Rig

I’ve been throwing the Ozark rig in 3/16oz. Have caught the most subtle bites.

Maybe I missed it but what size/wt are you using for the ozark panorama combo, thanks.
Probably could use all sizes depending on how deep your fishing. I use the 1/8oz when wading smallmouth river around here using the 6” Panorama. 👍👍
He had it on a 4 ought 3/16 size
Suggestions on rigging appreciated as I find it tears up the nose of my. baits. What am I doing incorrectly?

Awesome!
Nice tip on the panorama.. was not a fan of that bait. Pain in the ass to hook it.
With the basstrix why not use the hover rig on it instead of the Ozark rig??!! Just curious…thanks!!

@@BassFishingDeclassified Thanks….looking forward to trying both. When would you suggest the hover over ozark??!! Colder water so less action??!!
This hover rig is too tedious and cumbersome to set on soft plastics. Ive damaged and lost plastics 😢. Already sent my feedback to Matt Stefan.
They do not come threw brush snag like crazy never caught a fish just saying
Does not have an advantage, just another weighted worm hook.
Yikes! These posts have just become commercials for your Core tackle co. Ok, I'm unsubbing now. Bye
He doesn't own 6th sense or Berkley.
Thats all the majority of the damn fishin videos on youtube are anymore
